I loved staying with my grandparents when I was growing up. Some of my greatest memories was sitting on the front porch listening to all the stories of the past. I wish I had taped them. My family lived colorful lives. ❤
Paw Paw when my grandsons were young I used to cook their breakfast to . Usually bacon and scrambled eggs with pancakes . Now as adults they rush out of the house to go to school . All 3 of my adult grandkids are all graduates from high school but still are doing further education. I have one graduate from Emerson College in Boston . I really miss cooking for them but for some reason their palate is totally changed . They rarely eat at home anymore. Their girlfriends don’t cook which is the norm for this generation. Your love for Lex reminds me of my Pap's love for my son. My Pap lived for that kid. Picked him up from day care every day and spent a few hours with him before I got home, even when my son was an infant. My son never once rode a school bus because my Pap took him and picked him up every single day until my son got his license. It was such a beautiful relationship. I'll always cherish those memories. I love watching you and Lex because it brings back sweet memories.

Saturday June 22nd, 2024, I see eggs, hash browns and bacon for breakfast. Haven't fixed it much of late. Husband's stomach hasn't been handling bacon to well. He's lost like 70 lbs now. Starts radiation soon.

Oh PawPaw! I just love listening to you and watching you and Gi so involved in all of your families lives. I miss that so much and know I have more than so many. I live in the original home place of our family ‘compound’ in the middle at the top of the hill, my grandmother is on one side and my parents on the other. Well, as we’ve gotten older, my husband and I have started really making the yard ours and we love sitting on the porch and enjoying it. My husband likes just sitting in his pajama shorts too and can’t tell you how many times I’ve felt I need to stop my grandmother from coming right up and having a convo all while he’s in his cotton shorts 😂 and also, being next door and helping my own grandfather as he aged out of this world, yes, sometimes we get an eyeful when we open the door but those moments have made me chuckle when I miss him.
Yep...I too love setting on the porch having coffee in my sleep shorts ..lol...but ready to run if someone comes over ..lol ..hang on to those memories

They can learn alot from them. I was raised in the same kind of household...where I spent alot of time with my grandparents & great grandparents. I have very fond memories of staying with my great-grandparents and grandparents when I was young. The cooking and baking is what I remember most. Loved my mom dearly but she wasn't the best cook 😄 Hope Kippie is mending quickly ❤️

Glad you get to hang out with Lex and you're trying to put some meat on him!! Gi has them girls to deal with!! Love how you wait for Ivan and then he walks right up to you!! For some reason,I don't believe Baby is a sensible person, never will be!! Still have things to sort through but can tell you're getting there. Those pots and pans cannot be replaced, good you take care of them!!

I am glad Kim is going to get your man cave started. she is so good with doing woman work. All I can do is crafts. Give Ivan a big hug for me. I wish Ivan and Miracle would mend their best friend status. They were so great together. Want you to know I love watching. I can see the difference between the purple and the pink. The purple does look pink, but the pink had a bit more peachy pink color
