- The video is a compilation of three National Forest Policies (NFP's) that is 1894, 1952 and 1988. It sums up the objectives, underlying principles and various focal points of the NFP's.
It is interesting to note where the first two policies focused more on revenue, it was actually the policy of 1988 that finally talked about conservation in terms of ecosystem and looked at local communities to take part in Forest Conservation and propagation.

16:55 First, it is not Scheduled Caste but Scheduled Tribe.
Second, upper castes did not prevent the STs from going to forests, rather they were prevented by the governments since British rule.
Third, Tribals always considered forests to be sacred and important, and they had a sustainable relationship with the forests since time immemorial.
