Just want to add that if you use A4 paper (21,1 cm small side), there is some limitation in the size of the deck you can accommodate. For example, if the card height is 9,5 cm, the height can't be higher than 2,8 cm.
The exact formula is 4*H+L

Very good! One thing I noticed, if you're making a box for about 100 3x5 index cards, the width turns out to be 21.6 cm, the width of standard 8.5x11 paper.
