    Jan, excellent stuff, these Viking engines give me a high degree of confidence and would be my first choice engine. The chin cowl looks awesome, modeled on the Rans 21 at your stand at Airventure? Have to ask why some Viking 130's have the bump for the fuel pump in the upper cowl but others don't, have to say it looks better without but I guess you have to build around the fuel pump.

      The mechanical pump on the 130 necessitates the bump..however we use it as an "air scoop" etc. In the 110 HP this wasn't necessary due to location of the pump.

    Amazing! I will be building my plane I wish you had a bigger engine

    There is very little space between the connector terminal and bolt holding the connector of the no 6 cable going to the engine .

    Have you done an experimental twin install? I imagine a Velocity twin would be superb.

      We have talked to Velocity and might be moving forward with it, but there is a Twin in Italy being worked on at the moment.

      Viking Aircraft Engines - If you mean the Tecnam P2006 then I say, "Definitely !" From the moment I flew a P2012 all I could think was how much more economical it would be with a pair of your engines.; not just in up-front outlay, but operation and maintenance costs, too.
      Guess it's time to look at variable prop designs, no?

    Looks great. The only thig that really bothered me was the large pass-through holes for the power cables were not de-burred and had huge burrs that could eventually crack off and end up in all the wiring. ruclips.net/user/clipUgkxpLa1aFLYY3VUCX9s4LPfluHBg5sraQVE

      I concur and normally we do, If I recall he was going to be taking them off to change things around. Good catch though and that should be standard practice, especially around something as crucial as wiring.

    Any issue with keeping the radiator in good condition with it right behind the nose wheel like that?

    • @eggenfellner
      @eggenfellner  4 года назад +1

      No, never and we have guys in Alaska and New Zealand that do river bed landings and stuff. Sometimes they use a “flap” behind the nose wheel if that makes them feel better about it.

      Viking Aircraft Engines thanks for the followup! I’m hoping to start my own Cruzer or SD later this year and strongly considering going Viking. 👍🏻

    Jan can all the probes get hooked up to an EMS on an EFIS, like the Dynon or Garmin, instead of the Viking view? Just wondering if your limited on panel space if that is possible. Thanks.

    • @eggenfellner
      @eggenfellner  4 года назад +1

      You can do engine monitoring through Garmin or Dynon as well, we just offer the view.
