can you make it round down to the nearest 1/8th or does it only round up? I just got that same version but it has no built in level and i need it to show me my last 3 measures on screen at once. but all it lets me do is "big numbers" and shows only one measure at once. so frustrating
does it read out in decimal feet and Inches or just fractal?
Pretty much every option you can think of it does. Decimal, fraction, feet, metric etc…

Help! Looking for a gift for my dad who is an electrician and is remodeling his house. Thought a laser measuring and leveling tool would be nifty. I came accross this and the Cigman Dual Green Laser andbbotnsure which is better to buy. The dual laser seems like a good feature but the Bosch seems sturdier the company as a whole seems to be generally recommended more by the community.

can someone confirm the accuracy on this? I am drifting between Bosch GLM165 25G and Nivel System HDM-5G which has +-2mm accuracy margin and IP54 instead of IP64?
Please tell me does this include metric units option?

I have this model and find its shooting the measurement from the front of the device vs the rear. How do I change this so I don't have to subtract the length of the laser device?
Go into the menu, there is a setting. If I have time I’ll do a video for you.
@@hammerandhome yeah I tried looking. It seems when I'm in the normal just digital mode its accurate but when I use the constant measurement feature with the tape measure its off by a few inches.
I want to use such a device with a plastic corner-cube reflector plate, which reflects THOUSANDS as much back in the direction of the emitter than a white paper-like surface. (See Lambertian reflector.) I want to measure 500, 1000, 2000 meters, with a resolution of 1 millineter . Problem is, I don't think the device will 'wait for' such a delayed reflection, even when it arrives late.
And, of course, the display doesn't have sufficient digits to display this.

Perhaps these manufacturers don't want to compete with professional distance measuring equipment?
This is a 27G, not 25G. 25G does not have level function.
I wish I saw this comment before I bought mine. Went to use... couldn't find the function. Outside the return window now.
I just got one of these and the instruction book sucks.
It hardly shows you how run this thing.
I learned how to use it from videos. And I’ve owned the previous model for years. But it definitely is a learning process. Any questions and I might be able to help.

0:27 This is NOT the Bosch GLM165-25G, it's the Bosch GLM165-27CG. Epic fail. The GLM165-25G does not have a level.
It’s actually the GLM165-27G, the C is for connected Bluetooth which this unit doesn’t have.
@@SBvice I started to say thanks for the correction, but the model number GLM165-27CG is clearly visible in the video at 0:27. I was so confused by the model numbers when purchasing, but ended up with the GLM165-27CGL.
