that was insane! I wonder what are the limits in 3x3 tps. Also do you have tips on turning faster on 3x3 again? I haven't practiced tps at all for like a year and now my turning is super bad but i have all the fingertricks and stuff but my consistency just sucks.
a big tip is to look at fast people (max, tymon, yiheng etc) and see their solutions, and learn from them and apply their techniques and pair solutions or last layer algs to your solves.
@@Cubener well a lot of their solves are simpler than you might think, a lot of it is intuitive f2l pairs. Also I just watched a few of your solves and your f2l pairs look quite good for someone who isn’t sub 20 yet, I’m pretty sure you would benefit from looking at top solvers solutions. I feel like a lot of it you will understand already, and the stuff you don’t you can learn and practice.

just lots of practice and dedication to getting faster. Also i would recommend looking at your solves and comparing them to top solvers, like yiheng, tymon, etc. reco.nz/solve/index has reconstructions of a lot of top solves, including these ones!
I never really think about this, probably because it has never been an issue. Like when I am solving I am not thinking about turning super fast, I am just trying to solve good over all (good solutions, good look ahead, and good turning) but I end up getting some insane tps solves sometimes. Also, for this 14 tps solve in particular, the look ahead in f2l was pretty easy, which helped a lot. I kind of don’t have a good answer, I guess solving with high tps for years just made me get used to it, my brain just sees me turning this fast as normal and is still able to keep track of the pieces.
Speedcubedb had reconstructions but lost this recently. Every single high TPS was by Ruihang. He had like 2 16 and a few 15 TPS. His highest was 16.98... Not to talk against you or something because you're solves are the most inspiring, just saying he has much, much higher TPS sometimes.@@KyleSantucci
@@bscroll the reconstructions moved to reco.nz/solve/index the solves you are talking about are smartcube solves, not stackmat. smartcube solves remove like 0.5 from the actual time if compared to stackmat. making those 15 and 16 tps solves more like 14 tps. @@KyleSantucci 0.5 is a bit too much. The app starts timing later and basically stops from 45 degrees but that's not a +2 either for a regular solve. It has a little advantage, but not 0.5.

yes, most cubes including gan cubes nowadays are very fast out of the box, so you need to use lube to slow them down. Any slow/thick lube should work, when I use galaxy or cosmos lube it usually slows it down enough, but sometimes you need to add a lot for it to slow down.
