If you want to know how to take accountability -> It's not about taking accountability for yourself. It is about taking accountability for everyone else. They are acting that way because of you. What's going on outside is because of what you are doing, or what you are not doing.

"You are not a reaction, you are a creation" I couldn't agree more

People who were victimized horribly as children be like… “🫤 right my fault for reacting that way. When uncle was touching me I should have done a better job” 😂😂. I think your words are not wrong but not 100% correct or applicable to all realities.

can you elaborate a little bit please? i’d love to hear your point of view!

@Stoicnia I mean up until I was like 16 I couldn't even conceive of an idea that things could be done (or at least tried) differently
Obviouzly there are a lot of people (presumably grown up ones) who insist that we live in an age of developed determinism
Then there are rather real problems which can take a while (perhaps even forever idk xd) to untangle - those do come from somewhere
In other words I don't think I'm at fault for the problems that I'm having (lots of people literally layed their lives for me to play at 'Hard difficulty') but at the same time I take full responsibility for my situation (writ large xd)
I view responsibility as metaphysical leverage (in other words motivation) that one can try emploring in order to advance in life (whatever that means) or at least try - it also doubles as what separates 'actual adults' (of any age) from NPCs
As far as response before reaction and all that good jazz I've heard about people (like yogis) who allegedly are 100% the former but I can't claim something like that to be the case unless I do have (preferably a first hand) experience

@znojnyj Thank you so so much for your response! I completely agree with your message; the people we grow up with do play a crucial role in shaping our personalities during the first stages of development. Of course, this is just a 6 minute video for those adults who tend to lack accountability because of said environment. At some point we have to take full responsibility of the person we are becoming, and that can also mean breaking our trauma/childhood patterns. Easier said than done. But my point is; no one can do it for you, it’s your job to redefine who you want to be and that starts with your actions and reactions. Nonetheless, your comment has given me valuable insight that I will make sure to keep in mind for my future videos, so once again thank you so so much! 🩷

I do agree that on a spectrum of more compulsive/reactive to conscious it just makes sense to aspire to be the latter
However I don't see a good reason to toss out circumstances as a category because that would make for a mountain Everest of unironic type B mistakes
It's like the phrase "if you don't take care of politics the politics will take care of you"
Besides if you look at the stupidity all around you it makes for quite a good theater
As far as beating (or luring) people into sense I generally don't believe in 'frontal assault' type of means meaning that people are good at ignoring 'facts' (or their proxies) so unless I see a spot where I can pry their defenses (when they do something hilarious for example) I usually just bet on life itself to do my bidding xD
So yea I do believe in helping people 'come to God' however IMO this has to be done with a bit of ire or they need to be in love with you or something along those lines in order for them to actually listen

trauma is not a real thing and you can actually control impulsive thoughts and flashbacks. its your fault so stop choosing to remember those horrific things you experienced. Since ms. clincal psychologist has done lots of research and is definitely not just blabbing online because she thinks she knows everything solely based on her own experiences. Your right, ill just forget about everything that has happened to me, why didn't I try that before?!?!

    • @Stoicnia
      @Stoicnia  7 часов назад

It is not your fault, but it is your responsibility. Trauma is a real thing and a very serious one at that, but your trauma doesn’t have to define who you are. Like I said in my video, you have a choice here. I am sorry you’re hurt but my intention was to spread accountability, because at some point we all have to take accountability for our own actions without always using our trauma as a mask to hide behind. Some people use “trauma” to justify hurting others or damaging their own lives. This is a 6 minute video for those who are looking to take responsibility and improve for the better, you are just not my target audience, and that’s okay!

@ it feels like you can’t understand because it’s not something you have experienced. Not everyone’s life is as cool as yours.
