In the game specter on ROBLOX they have a very small art museum map but me and my friend could never find the ghost room but in think a larger version (medium map) would be fun! Maybe a new ghost type that changes paintings and could leave finger prints on them.
Grafton Revenants were way beyond tier S in terms of difficulty when there were no furniture hiding spots, I prefer risking in Asylum with any ghost, even Revs, but Grafton was real hell against revenants back then, even a full team could get destroyed when seeking all objectives.
Right? I've seen people in the past get Grafton, find writing and no freezing temps, jot down "Revenant" on the book and just _leave._ The update that added furniture to the LoS-blocking system was a HUGE help for Grafton play.
I literally just bought the game and will start playing ASAP! I’m so glad I have all these tips and great content to refer to because of you, Insym! Thanks so much for all you do! ❤️ Maybe I will be able to form a good opinion of the tier lists once I get good enough! 🤞😊
For me Tanglewood is a coin toss, especially after the update allowing ghost to wander a while ago Tanglewood can be a nightmare. Garage ghosts spawning in the front hall can be a huge threat when you expect it to be somewhere else. The right corners in Tanglewood also make “smudge while chase” and “ghost photo” a high risk if the ghost feels like being an Ahole, especially if you don’t have a second person to hold smudge during the chase. Finding the ghost is pretty easy but I think Tanglewood has the possibility to be a major headache.
17:00 Asylum A very respectful disagree from me. Maybe it's just because I like to take these kinds of games really slowly, get real immersed into the atmosphere, but Asylum is my favorite solo map by far. Saddle up with a candle (and lighter, in case it gets blown out), slowly walk the halls listening (which is easier to do solo for me because my usual team is a buncha shouters), flip on the breaker, return to the van, and give the cams a quick check to look for open doors. There are so many opportunities to discover the ghost room that the size doesn't bother me, and the atmosphere of Asylum is the most refined and definite of all the maps. For me... S tier fun A tier difficulty
I honestly would love a big map with a working elevator, but the plot twist being that during the hunt, the ghost will recieve a constant noise notification at the floor you're going to arrive at and follows the same movementspeed rules as if it is already seeing a player. Meaning they will speed up in movement consistently. This would basically give a really nice feature to a map where you can go up and down very quickly, but at the cost of risking death when the cost is capable of hunting.
I dont remember what my first ghost was, but what i DO remember was me and my friend upstairs when crying started echoing around and when we reached the stairs my friend just yells "IM DEAD"
@@am_Nein i miss the old times where me and my friends were infamiliar to the game and didnt understand things, but now moments like that dont happen anymore, sadly.
Edgefield is a very troll map, I remember my brother and I were near the basement when it started hunting (it gave a few clues it was there) and I run up the stairs (completely forgetting about the lockers), but to my surprise, after reaching the hallway, it was like 1 meter away from me, it came from the entrance and I died. It was a demon and my brother ran away and abandoned the mission, leaving my corpse to rot in that damn house xD
29:55 Ghost mostly spawns in cell block probably because the ghost picks a random room, but since each cell counts as a room, it's a lot more likely to pick some random cell than, say - cafeteria.
I would honestly put willow at a C tier for difficulty, S-tier for fun. It’s so easy to figure out the ghost and get your objectives done so it’s not normally a difficult map, plus as you mentioned there are many options to hide in.
Mostly agree but willow is a solid S for me. It's so nice looking, easy to navigate, and has so many creative hiding spots (also hiding behind that one chair is always amusing).
I completely missed this video 'cause I was watching your Simulacra gameplay vids! Glad you made this video! I'm happy you did the fun and difficulty separate!
Gym ghosts are terrifying. Literally my second time playing high school w my friend we got a gym ghost and... yeah we were not even able to get into the back of the room before it started hunting. And the thing that it can stack up its speed so easily in there... its a nightmare xd. Nice video btw.
Edgefield is our cursed location... upstairs had the fingerprints, box, candle, salt... orbs in basement. Was upstairs upstairs then ... downstairs. Ate 2 of us before we found the orbs
Everyone seems to have that one big experiance on bleasdale. I love it, its the most memorable map for me also... Specifically the gas cans in the kitchen. I got chased by axe man after being like "oh, this corner seems safe"
Hey Insym, when it comes to doing a vote for your viewers, you should have them vote prior to when you put it in your tier, then see what they think before you explain your thoughts and comments. I feel it would make the voting counts much more diverse, since I'm sure there are some that just wait for you to put in whatever tier before they vote. Other than that, I love these tier videos you do, and am excited to see more in the future!
4:01 Ever the contrarian, I wish I could give you an unpopular take on Tanglewood. Unfortunately, I can not - this map is so fun and encapsulates the heart of Phasmophobia gameplay perfectly.
I once did a 30-45 minute Asylum run with 3 friends. One of the people in the group went to the other side of the building and started mic spamming the ghost’s name and doing everything he could to make the ghost mad. Not only did we never find the ghost room, after 7 hunts, we never saw the ghost.
I usually play with only one other person and my buddy always insists on playing prison or asylum because he finds them more scary. I usually moan and complain not because they're particularly scary to me, but because it's just tedious as you pointed out. For scariness, for me all the street & roadhouses are the scariest because they look just normal but because the game is phasmophobia, you know something isn't right, which gives it that eerie creepy feeling. That's honestly why I love ridgeview a lot. For fun factor the maps would be; S-Ridgeview, tanglewood, edgefield A-bleasdale, grafton, willow B-Highschool C-Asylum & prison
Edgefield has real funky roams. Once had a ghost in the upstairs bedroom, does an event in the hallway. While laughing about it I tell me friend "If he starts hunting now we're screwed", and guess what he does, luckily we were at the front door so we could rush upstairs but that was wild.
My first experience with playing Phasmo with friends was Grafton. We didn't really know how to play. I was inside the house during a hunt, crying in the little closet off the (master?) bedroom. Was awesome. Also hiding upstairs in the utility room while the ghost chain hunted us dead. Good times, good times. 10/10, would cry in the fetal position in the corner again.
Willow is probably the best addition since a longer while, it basically made a Tanglewood and Farm a hybrid, so you can both practice non locker hiding and you should not get lost as easily, my favorite one as for now.
Might be time to redo this once the Asylum update happens and the custom difficulty is out. Would be interesting to see how this is changed with the new cursed items and the map updates that have happened, might even need to split it from S to D maybe. I was with you for all the ones I play, seemed about right but I do have a favourite map. If I only have time for one run, it will always be on Willow.
I'd move Prison one up on each. Maybe it's the group I play with but we usually don't have much trouble finding the ghost. Prison tends to give "oh crap" moments that we laugh about but it still mostly feels fair in the difficulty.
the first (and last xD) time me and my friends were playing the Highschool map we had the "luck" to get a wandering ghost and it was not really a nightmare in the "scary" way, but in the sense of that we were just frustrated cuz we couldn't find the ghost room...we played it over one and a half hour, we got hunted like 10 times (which was a confidence boost because nobody died and then we weren't as scared during the hunts on other maps), but we just couldn't figure out where the ghost room was, thus we got no evidence and at the end we just guessed the ghost and left :'D
Bleasdale is where the epic twerking happened! I think it's a very difficult map, considering that it is, like, a single path throughout the entire house Wherever room you wanna go to, you only have one path to choose, and if the ghost room is, say, in the living room, and a hunt starts when you're in the kitchen, you HAVE to hide in the garage
Willow is probably my favorite with Edgefield not too far behind. Only hard part on Willow is getting caught in the lounge as there's only one hiding spot that isn't great. I'd like Ridgeview a lot better if the upstairs wasn't so badly laid out. I'd put the Garage where the MB is and move the MB upstairs and make the other rooms more central to the staircase. then it would be awesome. Honestly Devs should study floorplans on like Zillow and make some more realistically laid out houses. Ridgeview is insane and Edgefield has way too many bathrooms. Tanglewood's walls don't make any sense. Maybe they did that on purpose to trigger some subconscious unnerving.
I actually have a very high skew towards entry ghosts on the prison. It feels like well over half of my ghosts are in either the lobby, the hallway to the right, or the reception office so it feels like once the breaker is on, exploring the building more than five feet is waste of time.
I personally dont play much phasmo but heres my fun ranking list S - Willow, Highschool, Tanglewood A - Edgefield, Grafton, Ridgeview B - Bleisdale, Prison C - Asylum
high school is pretty difficult when you just start with the game. but when you know that you can hide in the bathrooms, library or some rooms, it gets easier. the blinder upstairs in bleasdale does not always work. overall it's a good list, I would put prison fun on B and willow difficult on B as well
i really hope the new map coming up is a big one floor plan map because the game doesnt lend itself well to two-story maps, as the ghosts always seem to bug out between the floors and yeah you end up spending so much time simply searching for it and having to carry equipment etc. your sanity will be down at 20% before doing half of a first sweep. willow has definitely shown that theres difficulity to be had without additional big floors! (beyond the basement)
I was surprised when you mention prison ghosts… when I have played almost all of mine have been in the offices or the infirmary. Just two or three in cells lol. But maybe I need to play more there
I have a really unpopular opinion on this, for me larger maps are more fun simply because they are more challenging. Excluding Willow, you can get in lockers and be safe on all small maps, and that just takes so much of the fun away for me. I really wish lockers and closets didn't exist in this game just because hiding behind furniture, using smudge sticks and having to place crucifixes are all better game mechanic for a horror game than running to a locker and being 100% safe.
I had my best experience on asylum. We just put loud music and ”filmed” a document of how to revive a dead guy with a crucifix. Bruh we laughed so hard we forgot it was hunting.
Id honestly put asylum at S tier for fun cause coming up with the custom modes like only glowsticks or candles for light and just seeing how long you can survive with some friends will always be great
I definitely agree with you about almost every map. Bleasdale is so good, it has SO MUCH for a small map. The limited decent hiding spots is a bit rough, and I've commented this before, but after dying behind that attic divider because the ghost wandered up there then somehow saw me (I think I muted my mic even..) and killed me behind it, so I'm never going to go out of my way to hide there unless I'm already in the attic and don't have much of a choice. I should really do the loop thing. But yeah, Bleasdale is deceptively challenging but I think that's a big part of the fun. Also, I like the layout of the map. I just wish it had some better hiding spots. You're pretty much going to be behind doors unless you can get to the lockers or want to do attic loop (which is what I should prolly do instead of hiding behind the divider but I'm terrified of looping after the difficulty change). I might even put bleasdale as S tier for fun, though definitely not as much as willow. Tanglewood is ok for casual playing, but isn't exciting if that makes sense. So it's fine for chilling with friends, but not really for feeling a challenge. HOWEVER the thunderstorm is pretty sweet on tanglewood. I might have moved edgefield down to b tier for fun, but idc, like you said, people will have their opinions when it comes to the more hair-splitting choices. Willow best streethouse by a mile. Bleasdale best farmhouse. Highschool best big map. Asylum best challenge/scary. (Thank you for all your Asylum runs btw!) prison is just hard to navigate and not very aesthetically appealing. Asylum isn't pretty but its aesthetic is very strong. Also yeah, prison can have some HORRIBLE rooms especially with chain hunting ghosts. Once had a cafeteria security ghost that chain hunted. Found its orbs through the preset cctv cams because I'm bigbrain... sometimes. That run took like an hour for 4 of us (with 1 death).
I really, AND I MEAN REALLY love asylum, its possibly my favourite map overall. i dont know, something just captivates me about asylum, and the fact that you have to actually try (haha cant wait for a nightmare run)
Those long, struggling, challenging games are my favorite ... so my fun tier is literally Insym's difficulty tierlist. Small maps are just over too quickly to get really immersed. Also ... I haven't gotten a cell block ghost in months and I miss it because my most favorite games I've ever played have been in the cell blocks.
Fun Tier List for me, I also play VR in Groups and Lv353: S: Tanglewood, Willow, Grafton A: Ridgeview, Edgefield, High School B: Asylum C: Bleasdale, I could be just salty due to hiding spots being seemingly amazing, yet I die every time. Untiered: Prison, Haven't played it enough.
me being a new player, here are my feelings on some maps: big maps are ass, except brownstone because it is quite simple and not that big, asylum can be fun depending on where the ghost room is (and how close the breaker is to said ghost room, i once had to play completely without lights because the breaker was across the map from the ghost room.), prison is hell because it's confusing and if you can't find the ghost room you might as well leave, small maps are fun because you dont have to walk around for an hour trying to find the correct room and getting equipment from the truck is easier and faster, i don't feel completely helpless, farmhouses are a bit in between because they are open and dont have many hiding places but they're still manageable and fun with a friend.
high school is a amazing map but gym revenants are a nightmare last night i havent played in ages got on the game went to high school first ghost was a revenant in the gym xD good vid tho insym keep it up!
Hate Highschool but Asylum is fun in a team. We usually hide on different floors and sides and then triangulate on where the ghost must be by who hears what. That even works well for Hallway-Roamers... Willow street is the best!
For me, in terms of fun. S Tier: Tanglewood Street House A and B Tier: Grafton, Bleasedale, Ridgeview and Edgefield are all interchangeable in A and B tier C Tier: Asylum, Prison and Willow Street House (Idk, I don't really like Willow) I've had hallway ghosts on Bleasedale, and I can tell you it's scary when you get a stubborn Revenant as your hallway ghost upstairs.
On Bleasdale, I have never been caught by a ghost hiding in the laundry room beside the dryer; it’s my go-to hiding spot when upstairs. Even if I’m in the foyer running from a ghost that’s where I go.
I absolutely love Tanglewood. First map I ever played and still love going back to it... only problem I had was the ghost seems to roam a lot more and a lot further away😂
I think by tendency I like the three big maps a little more. Maybe for all the exploring and the difficulty. It is possible that one has played this game for many hours and then stumbles into a room where one has never been before :D
The difficulty of maps for me depends on a lot of factors, the ghost, the room, and the ghosts aggression. Like Gym Revs and Jinns are nightmarish, and before the hiding changes I’d say Grafton was the deadliest map but now I say Prison because Cellblock ghosts are common, hard to get evidence for, and if Rev = almost instant death. I think the scariest small map is probably ridgeview due to the dead ends. Medium map is tough but I say prison because as scary as Gym ghosts are, they are very rare compared to prison cellblock ghosts. And Asylum more often then not is easy, just slow.
Spent 41 minutes on Tanglewood last night, the ghost just didn't want to give me my third evidence, so figured it out by if the breaker box was ever turned off it wasn't, so had my ghost which I think it was a jinn, had 100 interactions 1 ghost event and 0 hunts, was an interesting game lol
the first time i played asylum, the board was behind the reception desk XD meanwhile the ghost room was in a small looking storage room to the left of that ^
I just wanna say have you gotten a high school entrance ghost. Yeah i hate those so much ive gotta that twice and one of the times it had ghost orbs that took forever to find and also it was quiet for forever at the start so it took forever to find
Ive been killed by a Wraith on Willow more times than other ghost type on any other map location. Idk what it is about that house, but if its a Wraith - it has it out for me…
One time my friend and I had an asylum rev. It hunted near us both and thank the lord we were in a room with a bunch of dividers. We never saw it but we knew it was a rev since the footsteps were so spaced. We had to survive 3 more hunts before escaping with 20% sanity. Scariest shit in existence
Fun: S - Willow, Asylum, Bleasdale A - Edgefield, Prison B - Tanglewood, Grafton C - High School, Ridgeview Diff: S - Prison, Willow A - Asylum, Bleasdale, High School B - Grafton, Ridgeview, Edgefield C - Tanglewood
i have the biggest love/hate relationship with tanglewood. i spent like my first 70ish hours never going past intermediate, so when my friends and i (four of us) decided to try professional for the first time we chose it because it's *tanglewood*, how bad could it be? two of my friends were dead after like 2 minutes, with one being in the driveway because he tried to glitch out in vr (it was lowkey super funny tho). the ghost kept chain hunting us until it was just me and i had to run out of there with only 2 objectives done, literally can't go back in there. thin hallways also kinda terrify me (so road/street houses are the scariest to me). i do kinda love it though cause it was the first map my best friend and i played and i have so many fun memories playing with her and my other friends : )
31:00 that said now with the new update you can just see them through the video cam soooo just another thing that's gonna change in a few days by this massive update
What about if were able to appease the ghost by finding an item around the map (for a set amount of time that you would see on the clock in the bus that also depends on what difficulty and level) , and how to know what to look for they could make use of the parabolic mics more. Where you could hear them faintly saying words , letters. But doesnt determine that the ghost is right there ,just adding in more use of the parabolic mic. Idk if its gonna be tedious or not but how about the "hunting ground" of the ghost has a chance to change depending on your level and difficulty, because as i see it the bulk of the kit you bring to the house or building is only like a few items, might make it more challenging for the ghost being hard to find because he moves around(for example, the "hunting phase" might be used as a decoy for the ghost to move places might also challenge the professional solo players who has like a thousand plus levels
High School and Asylum annoy me because they are so big that the ghost ends up chain hunting me almost every time. And because of the size, it's hard to get the ghost room for evidence when it does that. I can navigate the prison pretty well and not have this issue until after I have everything I need or close to. They also kill me in the bathroom stalls all the time. I thought the bathrooms were false senses of security. :p I agree with the chat with B tier. I'd almost swap high school and prison for both ratings for me.
I think if there were better furniture spots on High School to hide behind (like Willow does), it would've gotten that A ranking in fun. But as you said yourself, getting caught in the open and having to duck in a classroom without any real "safe" spots kind of sucks.
My favorite is Willow Streethouse. I'm new and I'm not too good at locker or closet hiding yet so I find it safer to turn a corner and hide behind furniture. Also, it's just really, REALLY pretty. 💖
In the 250+ hours I have at the moment... in the Prison map I have only ever had the ghost appear in the foyer or one of the close rooms TWICE... every other time has been cell blocks, upstairs, bathrooms or that visiting area. There's too many "common" rooms
I've an idea for a map, how about a big restaurant/bar/hotel on the edge of a town with like 3 floors and a ton of hiding spots? Also my fav phasmo map is Ridgeview, perfect amount of size and suspense, also my nicest ghost was here it was a shade in the kitchen that did next to nothing, just threw a bunch of plates and the books, and my fav moment in phasmo history in my opinion, i was walking out to get a video cam, i hear something get flung behind me and i look behind me, it threw and written the book when i wasnt looking, and when i saw it, it threw it again at me and did a ghost event. The nicest naked man ever. Sadly my least fav map is Asylum, its so large and daunting, and the few times i played it i died every time, and sometimes my game crashes when it loads the level. Also when i play Prison, i almost never get cellblock ghosts, i remember only 2 and they were a poltergeist and a jinn, most of my Prison ghosts are in the near front like in the room the breaker could be in the left, the little reception room on the right, the bathroom in front of Block B, and my fav rooms there, either the library or the office room upstairs are pretty gnarly, never got a cafeteria prison, warden, infirmary or hall ghost.
Bleasdale is completely unfun. I hate the layout of the house, C tier for me. Asylum solo on the other hand is one of my favorites. Walk the halls listening and looking for an open door or light. This is such a cool way to play instead of relying on tools to find the ghost. I have found a ghost by flipping through the cams and seeing an open door way down the basement hall, one of the last places I might have checked with tools. Once many months ago, I had a very long load time for Asylum and the other players left, so the game loaded with no tools and I found the ghost and even narrowed it down to two options just from freezing / behaviors. I haven't played much since the updates so I'm not sure how viable this playstyle is nowadays.
Just had an idea; they should have a "random" map selector and u get 2x xp and money. That way people don't just pick easy maps
People would just leave if they got a map they don't want.

I'd like an apartment complex as a medium map, not the entire building but just one floor with like 6 or 8 smallish apartments. Would be fun I reckon

I was like: "Where is Campsite?"
Until I've seen the date that this has been released.
Clearly the best map for difficulty and fun is the campsite map they need to bring out one day
Aged like fine wine.
My girlfriend got into phasmo yesterday. Her first ghost was revenant, the first 3 times. On tangle, HS, and prison. F

Ghost mostly spawns in cell block probably because the ghost picks a random room, but since each cell counts as a room, it's a lot more likely to pick some random cell than, say - cafeteria.
I would honestly put willow at a C tier for difficulty, S-tier for fun. It’s so easy to figure out the ghost and get your objectives done so it’s not normally a difficult map, plus as you mentioned there are many options to hide in.
They should honestly let people make mods for the game. Imagine all the content that we could make as a community
For me, the fun tier list:
S: Asylum, School, Tanglewood
A: Ridgeview, Bleasdale
B: Edgefield, Willow
C: Grafton, Prison
grafton is so fun wtf but i agree that prison is an absolute unbalanced garbage
@@randomannoyance facts prison is so wack
Mostly agree but willow is a solid S for me. It's so nice looking, easy to navigate, and has so many creative hiding spots (also hiding behind that one chair is always amusing).
Prison is a really good map
High School is my absolute favorite map, and I 100% agree with both tiers you chose for it
I have this love-hate thing on Tanglewood,
First, the layout feels like a small maze, while it's mazyness makes it fun.
Everyone seems to have that one big experiance on bleasdale. I love it, its the most memorable map for me also... Specifically the gas cans in the kitchen. I got chased by axe man after being like "oh, this corner seems safe"
my bleasdale experience was my first time drawing tarot cards, the very first card i drew was death.
Tanglewood is like the map where you won't get scared even if it is a revenant.
4:01
Ever the contrarian, I wish I could give you an unpopular take on Tanglewood. Unfortunately, I can not - this map is so fun and encapsulates the heart of Phasmophobia gameplay perfectly.
My favourite is Grafton because of all the giggling potential! :)
i got one giggling yesterday and i almost throw my mouse away cause that giggling scared the sh*t out of me
0:04 "We're gonna give each map two grades: one for quality, and one for difficulty."
For fun factor the maps would be;
S-Ridgeview, tanglewood, edgefield
A-bleasdale, grafton, willow
B-Highschool
C-Asylum & prison
Willow is probably the best addition since a longer while, it basically made a Tanglewood and Farm a hybrid, so you can both practice non locker hiding and you should not get lost as easily, my favorite one as for now.
saaaaaame. easy S tier, and the lack of lockers makes it not super easy either. And it looks SO nice.
@@karamei agreed, no locker and new roaming update made me die a lot here
Lord I thought this video would be longer than the equipment one. I feel like with the maps it was gonna go super in depth lol
All the tier lists I see :)
Well the update will change so many so good idea to get the old versions out now!
I consider tanglewood the greatest because of the video with David and his car as well as the moving stuffed animals in your vids
I think it's a very difficult map, considering that it is, like, a single path throughout the entire house
Wherever room you wanna go to, you only have one path to choose, and if the ghost room is, say, in the living room, and a hunt starts when you're in the kitchen, you HAVE to hide in the garage
You are the best RUclipsR / twitch streamer
I actually have a very high skew towards entry ghosts on the prison. It feels like well over half of my ghosts are in either the lobby, the hallway to the right, or the reception office so it feels like once the breaker is on, exploring the building more than five feet is waste of time.
I personally dont play much phasmo but heres my fun ranking list
S - Willow, Highschool, Tanglewood
A - Edgefield, Grafton, Ridgeview
B - Bleisdale, Prison
C - Asylum
The real ghost in asylum is the ghost of my dead 45mins I spent trying to locate the fucking room.
Phasmophobia bone spot on prison tier list next guys 😂😂. Keep it up love ur videos 🥰.
Oh... U dropped this : 👑
high school is pretty difficult when you just start with the game. but when you know that you can hide in the bathrooms, library or some rooms, it gets easier. the blinder upstairs in bleasdale does not always work. overall it's a good list, I would put prison fun on B and willow difficult on B as well
i really hope the new map coming up is a big one floor plan map because the game doesnt lend itself well to two-story maps, as the ghosts always seem to bug out between the floors and yeah you end up spending so much time simply searching for it and having to carry equipment etc. your sanity will be down at 20% before doing half of a first sweep. willow has definitely shown that theres difficulity to be had without additional big floors!
I was hiding behind the trashcan in basement on willow street house, but the ghost still got me. The ghost wasn't a Banshee, it was a Shade.
I had my best experience on asylum. We just put loud music and ”filmed” a document of how to revive a dead guy with a crucifix. Bruh we laughed so hard we forgot it was hunting.
Id honestly put asylum at S tier for fun cause coming up with the custom modes like only glowsticks or candles for light and just seeing how long you can survive with some friends will always be great
I have actually out run a Revenant once on a High School Map. I actually did not know how I managed to do that.
(Thank you for all your Asylum runs btw!)
prison is just hard to navigate and not very aesthetically appealing.
I saw this on stream and thought this was a repost hah love your
Fun Tier List for me, I also play VR in Groups and Lv353:
S: Tanglewood, Willow, Grafton
A: Ridgeview, Edgefield, High School
B: Asylum
C: Bleasdale, I could be just salty due to hiding spots being seemingly amazing, yet I die every time.
Awsome tier list again
Love to watch this video
👍😊
high school is a amazing map but gym revenants are a nightmare last night i havent played in ages got on the game went to high school first ghost was a revenant in the gym xD good vid tho insym keep it up!
I love the high school because it's a familiar setting max creepy and it's a big map which are fun to explore
Hate Highschool but Asylum is fun in a team. We usually hide on different floors and sides and then triangulate on where the ghost must be by who hears what. That even works well for Hallway-Roamers...
Willow street is the best!
My tier list
Fun:
S: Ridgeview, Tanglewood, Bleasdale
A: Edgefield, Grafton, Willow
B: Highschool
C: Asylum, Prison
Diff:
S: Asylum, Prison
A: Highschool, Grafton
B: Bleasdale, Willow, Edgefield
C: Ridgeview, Tanglewood
Cannot wait for the big update on phasmo 🔥🔥
@insym doing ALL the tiers and lists before the patch hits - but it's for posterity!
For me, in terms of fun.
S Tier: Tanglewood Street House
A and B Tier: Grafton, Bleasedale, Ridgeview and Edgefield are all interchangeable in A and B tier
C Tier: Asylum, Prison and Willow Street House (Idk, I don't really like Willow)
I've had hallway ghosts on Bleasedale, and I can tell you it's scary when you get a stubborn Revenant as your hallway ghost upstairs.
Interesting, Prison is one of my most played maps but I very rarely see Cellblock ghosts. I primarily get ghosts upstairs all the way in the back
Asylum with the new roaming feature is an absolute nightmare solo
I won a prison Rev
I'd like to see an abandoned Subway style map. Maybe even an abandoned Mall for a super large map.
Wow, I really wish there was a second dimension so that we could place these two tier lists into one :)
Spent 41 minutes on Tanglewood last night, the ghost just didn't want to give me my third evidence, so figured it out by if the breaker box was ever turned off it wasn't, so had my ghost which I think it was a jinn, had 100 interactions 1 ghost event and 0 hunts, was an interesting game lol
the first time i played asylum, the board was behind the reception desk XD
meanwhile the ghost room was in a small looking storage room to the left of that ^
I just wanna say have you gotten a high school entrance ghost. Yeah i hate those so much ive gotta that twice and one of the times it had ghost orbs that took forever to find and also it was quiet for forever at the start so it took forever to find
I got way too annoyed in the game of high school that was prob the worst game on any map ever for me
Ive been killed by a Wraith on Willow more times than other ghost type on any other map location.
Fun:
S - Willow, Asylum, Bleasdale
A - Edgefield, Prison
B - Tanglewood, Grafton
C - High School, Ridgeview
Diff:
S - Prison, Willow
A - Asylum, Bleasdale, High School
B - Grafton, Ridgeview, Edgefield
C - Tanglewood
i have the biggest love/hate relationship with tanglewood. i spent like my first 70ish hours never going past intermediate, so when my friends and i (four of us) decided to try professional for the first time we chose it because it's *tanglewood*, how bad could it be?
two of my friends were dead after like 2 minutes, with one being in the driveway because he tried to glitch out in vr (it was lowkey super funny tho). the ghost kept chain hunting us until it was just me and i had to run out of there with only 2 objectives done, literally can't go back in there. thin hallways also kinda terrify me (so road/street houses are the scariest to me). i do kinda love it though cause it was the first map my best friend and i played and i have so many fun memories playing with her and my other friends : )
Grafton, tanglewood and ridgeview are my fav maps, they give me a cozy vibe i wont lie 😂
Do a tier list of all ghost models depending on how scary they are
Have I played Tanglewood today? No? Play Tanglewood. Yes? Play Tanglewood.
Exactly hahaha
I think if there were better furniture spots on High School to hide behind (like Willow does), it would've gotten that A ranking in fun. But as you said yourself, getting caught in the open and having to duck in a classroom without any real "safe" spots kind of sucks.
Good to know wich are a bit easier for a beginner like me 😄
My favorite is Willow Streethouse.
