- The Special Action Committee for Education says it has brought an urgent interdict application to the Western Cape High Court against the Department of Education in the province.
This is an attempt to halt the department’s decision to cut more than 2,000 teaching posts.
The department had cited that budget cuts at national level have led to the decision to cut jobs.
Head of the Education and Allied Workers Union of South Africa (EUSA) in the Western Cape and Member of the Special Action Committee (SAC), Andre de Bruyn says the Western Cape Education MEC, David Maynier should have found alternatives to job cuts similar to the other eight provinces.

I detest and despise the ANC

Is this the BELA bill in action?
