Oh wow, how amazing it must've been to talk to Steven. He seems like such a down to earth guy. I hope he finds what he's looking for, he really does deserve more time in the spotlight. Such an underrated actor 🩷
I understand Steven's take on acting however when you play a variety of characters you discover the type you are best at playing. In my opinion Steven is best at playing insane mad man characters.
@@AreaFantasma He will get more parts like Simon (Walking Dead) and Trevor Phillips (GTA 5) than he would land roles as wholesome dads. Some guys like George Cooney have a look and persona that is good for playing leading man roles but will not make convincing bad/unhinged/crazy guys. Indeed some actors have a look that can fit any type of role. That is not the case with Steven Ogg in my opinion. His most recent film appearance was in Emancipation. He played Confederate Sargent Howard, who is pretty much a copy and past of Trevor. Same violent outbursts. His Wiki page says he is known for playing Trevor Philips and Simon, both similar characters. Steve Ogg being best at playing unhinged characters it not simply my opinion. It's an opinion that is shared across the entertainment industry. He can deny it all he wants however it is a fact that simply exists.
@@1977TA In my opinion, if you are a good actor, you can convince in any type of character, it doesn't matter your appearance, George Clooney has the look and persona but to me Clooney is not as good as Michael Caine, Ian Holm, Jarred Harris or many others who are not handsome or has that star system thing that attracts audience to the theater like Arnold Schwarzennegger. Good actors can do any type of character.
nice interview - some tips as your relatively new and have a lot of opportunity for growth. -try reformatting the presentation so it isn't stretched -try having more high energy/charisma -talk a bit further from the mic as we can hear your breathing congrats on the interview!
how this guy can be so robotic while doing a interview for such great person that is steven ogg?! edit: he changed as soon steven started to talk, haha... his good humor is contangious
It feels like he's not comfortable on camera. He doesn't really add anything to the actual conversation. He says "Yeah" until Steven finishes his stories and then instantly moves on to the next topic. Just came across as very one-sided in my opinion. Love Ogg though! Seems like he'd be fun to hang out with.
@@kennyaustin7420 who wouldnt be a bit anxious while facing trevor?! hahaha, good perception btw.. now I see this guy is new in youtube.. how he managed to find steven ogg?! just a direct message in facebook? lol
Steven Ogg is a amazing actor, he has real talent. Though he states his biggest flaw and that’s not getting into his roles or the world the characters are in that he betrays. Which feels like paradox given how well he acts, but somehow isn’t at all interested in the role or world he’s in. It’s common for actors to not watch or play the films and games they’re in, but usually they get invested in the world space or the role itself of what there characters is etcz
The reason actors don't like watching themselves on screen is because they can't do it without grading their performance. " As they grow as actors their old stuff becomes embarrassing because they are able to see how bad they were but didn't know it at the time. If I was an actor, I would probably watch the stuff I'm in once. Even so I'd feel uncomfortable every time I'm on screen. Especially if I'm watching with friends and family. I guess it's difficult to enjoy a movie if you are part of the cast. Watching yourself on screen just has a weird feeling. Instead of seeing the character I'm playing I'd be saying to myself "There I am."
i dont know how you secured steven ogg for a podcast, but you were terrible at asking questions, you were slow and not prepared to interview him, i would suggest you learn from other great podcasters, this felt like pulling teeth whenever you talked, you should have also equalized the audio after you shot this to make him equally as loud as yourself
Actually wait for the person you're talking to to finish a point and express their thoughts completely. Speak only after they have paused and seemingly gotten out all they have to say. I feel like Steven was being candid with you but you are so lifeless its like he is talking to chatgpt. You don't have to say "Yeah, yeah. Yep." 24 times in 15 seconds while he is talking. Please improve. For the love of God. This was hard to listen to.
Luckily Steven is very receptive and friendly and doesn't have to get pried much to open up, so the interview didn't suffer too much. Def a good interview subject to have as a learning experience and you gave some good advice here.

I’m a great fan of cartoon man I can’t believe I missed this video. Thank you
You really got Trevor to open up.
Great interview man, love listening to Steven
Hey, thank you. He was awesome.

He is absolutely amazing at it, yeah.
BUT I think he just needs to show you what he can do with a wholesome character
How do you know that if you have never seen him doing other type of characters? You have seen only one side of his acting.

Steven Ogg, if you ever have your own production company in Vancouver, I'M SO DOWN TO BE IN ANYTHING YOU MAKE! 😤😤😤

How did you get steven ogg to get on, 😳, great interview, 👍
Stevens a legend.
He's a cartoon
I have never seen Trevor's voice actor being nice
He's just tired of being referred to Trevor for over a decade now.
@@sanandreasX fr tho people never see him as an existing human being they always see him as trevor i feel bad 4 him
i feel bad for him cause he's seems like such a nice guy but he is clearly sick of being known as JUST trevor
Can you make a video about Half life maybe? Like maybe a video with one of the voice actors.
Formerly Chuck's
Caarrrrrtooooooonnnnnn
good interview bro but you gotta up the energy a lil cause it seems like you dont wanna be there😭

Steven is interesting. Hopefully he goes on Joe Rogan someday.
I'm sure Joe rogan doesn't know he exists
@kineticenergy3946 Well Joe has had plenty of people on that he didn't know prior to doing the podcast. So what's your point
@@sanandreasX he doesn't know every human on the planet
@kineticenergy3946 He doesn't have to know them to get them on the podcast. The podcast is kinda you know, getting to know certain guests.

Wish the interview would just interview and not talk. He's got nothing interesting to say.
