I've been so pumped about this pick as a Habs fan, but seeing Steve absolutely hate how good it is for Montreal makes me happier than anything else I've seen. He is the blue chip franchise-level dynamo forward we've lacked my _entire_ life.
It's great validation. Every team thinks the world of their prospect, and when you see people who root for other teams and even rival franchises mention this about the future of your team it feels good.

I'm not even an ice hockey fan and I love this channel lmao. Love how passionate you guys are. SDPN may even be close to doing the impossible...making me start watching the NHL! We'll see.
Welcome to Columbus Cayden! Fantilli-Lindstrom 1-2 at C is a dream. We have never had a young 1C. Now we have two guys who could be 1Cs. Fire the freaking Cannon.
Top 3 NHL 2024 Draft Winners: 1. San Jose (even if we forget Celebrini, they still got probably the best overall defenseman of this draft in Dickinson at #11). 2.Montreal (managed to take one of the, if not THE, most electrifying forward in this draft with Demidov at #5, plus a potential top 6 centerman in Hage.) 3. Chicago. (they should have taken Demidov at #2, but they got a NHL-ready defenseman in Levshunov, and Boisvert will be a fantastic second center for them in a few years)
Wanted Ej- Seen the trade, seen NYR right before leafs and instantly knew he was gone told my dad they were taking him right away 😂 Hes gonna fit perfectly with Miller, Fox, Lindgren
Leafs are in deep trouble ! Horrid drafts since 2016 . Mother Hubbard's Cupboard has dust on the shelves . Strammel is the only guy worse than the Bingo Troll from the Knights picked ahead of him .
That guy who is so pessimistic about the leafs, as a flames fan i completely sympathize. At least our parehk seems like a decent pick. But yah i genuinely hope if the leafs don't trade Marner that they don't make the playoffs
Leafs have plateaued. Not much uplift in the next 4 years. Rather than being the bottom of the top tier I wish they would rebuild. Low odds of building a Cup champion in the next 4 years
I think the last trade there was a good move by the Oilers as well. They're running out of years to draft guys that can play with this core. And a lot ofvtheir key forwards are 31 or older, will need to be replaced when McDavid still has good years left.
@@Sec0ndusI don’t agree with them, but if you look some of the moves he made in Calgary it doesn’t surprise me he think that way. His 2 biggest mistakes were: Traded away a 1st with Monahan (who later got another 1st) and used the cap saved to sign Kadri to a deal that isn’t looking like they want to have and might have to attach a pick to get rid of. Signed Huberdeau to a stupid contract, even if Huberdeau went to 80-100 points in his 30 and 31 age season, giving that much money for that much time to someone that old is almost always a bad idea and a losing gamble. Then he fell off a cliff even harder than anyone thought possible, ruining their cap for 7 years after the one that just finished any playoff chance they had.

@@bravepotatoe7513 and those couple months of Kovalchuk!

From the planet where people are smart enough to realise i was saying kovalev had only 1 year of truly "franchise level" play in mtl
14:18 San Jose on the clock lol
17:48 they really drew this out huh
18:57 San Jose’s pick
33:42 Anaheim’s surprise pick
47:04 Celine Dion!?
55:10 Utah’s pick
1:14:07 Zayne (One Defenseman)
3:27:01 Calgary’s (off board) pick
2:46:39 Leafs trade 23rd
2:48:31 Leafs get 31st & 58th
2:51:35 Anaheim’s pick
3:45:11 TORONTO’S PICK
Bro u have the thickest and longest hockey stick!
Thank you for this. Much appreciated!
The Lord's work good man!
Gridin isn’t off the board. He was supposed to be early 2nd round
As a Habs fan, I loved Steve’s response. That was the gravy!!!

Great Stream!
Thanks for doing that. Keep it up!

SJS also got Chernyshov at 33, a guy ranked top 20 by many.
@@RandomPlaceHolderNameLeo Sahlin Wallenius was ranked top 35 by many and the Sharks got him at 53
Got 4 out of 5 of the top 5 pick right (at the right spot) a week ago. Missed Seneka obviously.
Couldnt be more happy for the Habs.
When adam laughed about Jesse eating i thought my tires were giving out 😭
When was that?
@@alexmercer674 pretty early on, I'll try and find it. I believe before the first pick

Great show guys
I feel ya Steve, I wanted Solberg and then Emery and then Elick
Emery has negative puck moving abilities. The opposite of what they need.
Love how maddie maddog got a word in at the end
Adam did it again, RE Defensemen scoring 30 goals, its Mike GREEN, Mike Smith was a goalie 😂

If you look at the teams in the top 5 they are just looking around 😂 really looks like betman told them to drag it out for more viewership

Fuller
Adam called him daddy danford
Leafs have leaned back to Mark Hunter type draft pick.

What's up with Adam? He's complaining about everything!
He still hasn't found his wedding ring
He really doesn’t like the way the nhl draft format is compared to the nhl and nfl but idk this year wasn’t as long as last year’s nhl draft
It’s great how Steve likes to BS through his prospect “analysis” . It is so blatant.

Jett luchanko youngest player in the draft. 70 points in the ohl last year. He’s probably going to score 100 this year and look like a steal.
Plenty of 100pts guy in the chl ending up sucking 😂😂😂😂
I can’t wait for Brad to completely destroy your franchise.
Butthurt
