Honestly, just the fact that I've been watching your vids alone for so long alone helps me in such situations. Without even having to apply any specific technique on the spot, I can get a stream of confidence and a feeling that I'm just "better" than my opponent. That really does wonders in terms of instantly clearing any self doubt. Just having the self-image of a peak performer can make a massive difference in clutch moments
Matthew 3 2: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" John 3 16 17: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. John 14 6: Jesus replied: I am the way the truth and the life,no one comes to the Father except through me.
Novak Djokovic is the perfect example of a guy who overcame his choking. Fans used to call him “Chokeovic” and now he’s one of the mentally strongest athletes ever

Practice under pressure, breathing techniques (or other downers), and pre-game rituals The best way to practice under pressure is to play penalty shootouts with a few teammates. Fun and pretty pressured moments for practice
Our biggest enemy is ourselves, if we are always focusing on the fear of failure then we won't achieve anything we set our minds to, doubt starts to creep in and you will fail unless you have mastered performing under pressure. Great video.
Won’t ever forget this day when we were in a tournament 4-0 up and then they scored 3 back the amount of pressure i got that day the crowd and their press was just crazy we managed to clinch the win anyways
To be honest that's why a lot of high performers have some sort of antisocial characteristics. Because there are some of them who doesn't even feel shame or fear and they are impulsive so they don't really have to think about going through the motions. Yet, I agree mostly with the solutions you offer and you are right ín the lack of preparation part.
Virat under pressure doubles his focus on the ball, thats detaches him from any other outside factors, in that state of mind he is able to stay calm and put pressure on the opponent.
Yo thanks for the tips! I’m going into my junior year and second to last year of high school soccer, and this’ll be the first time I start most of our games, and I get super nervous! But this will definitely help!
Happened to me when i played football in my mid school. Eventhough i already scored a goal but when penalty happened, I just booted it almost hitting supporter and nowhere near goal post

(May have a lot of missing speling my bad i not the very good speling in ingles) Vid like did are very good to learn thanks for doing , i really be working on my self talk when i workout for my self , those vídeos are so important to learn the mental side that most dont work on and sometimes its the gap that it missing , and feel that on my self especily after a acl tear it is hard to deal with the self talk , can trauma affect our performance? Thanks for the lesson for sure will buy the book .
for sure - injury trauma can hinder performance. A lot of athletes become super hesitant in performing certain movements/actions after a serious injury or bad experience. It's about gradually building things up again very slowly so that you can increase both your confidence and also the tolerance of your body again
Not an expert by any means, but what I would do is this: It really depends on what kind of guilt you're talking about. If it's guilt for choking in a crucial moment, working to improve in that thing could help you overcome that, and make you more confident next time you face a similar situation. Journaling could also help you first of all understand whether it was really all that bad, and find what it was that caused you to end up in that situation, so you can find a way to do better next time. Sam also has a video on journaling, so you can check that out if you want (it's the one with Haaland on the thumbnail writing in a room)
Dopamine detox is bullshit, there is literally no evidence for its claims. But cutting youself from distractions and stimuli helps you to connect to yourself and focus on what truly matters.
I used to get this when taking penalties but once I started training penalties over and over for practice, I mean before school going to shoot 50 penalties a day and they had to score, I would just tell myself in game, it’s just practice and I rarely missed. I don’t know if I did once after that.
How do you typically stay calm under pressure? ⬇
Deep breaths help me ... I've scored a Ronaldo type free kick from it...
My mind goes blank and it’s pure instinct.

Is that why he never hits 10 runs in World Cup semis?
