The shelf life listed by a manufacturer is usually around 2 years..... however, it really depends on how it was stored. I've had some that was terrible at 2 years and others that I've used 5-7 years later. I will say.... if you are cutting and weeding and the backing is sticking terrible and you have to really work to get it off..... first, check if you cut too deep, but if it's a normal cut, it could mean old vinyl. I've stubbornly continued to weed it, and then kicked myself later when I cut another on better vinyl. So much easier. Sometimes, it's easier to do the voice over after I've recorded things like this..... not only for the time sake, but since the weeding can be very detailed. And I don't have to fill dead air with needless filler conversation 🤣
@@cheyennemendoza6967 I use Vinyl Glossy with blade depth 2. But that may not work for everyone - test cuts will be your best friend. It can vary by material, brand, color, blade sharpness, etc. silhouette-secrets.com/2021/03/14/perfect-cut-settings-in-silhouette/
Details with patience. Artistic work takes time. Thank you.
You are welcome!
I always enjoy watching you weeding and talking at the same time 😊
But one question though - how old is too old when it comes to vinyl?
