One of my all time favorite fighting game moments of DSP is when he was complaining about Alisa's head bomb grab in Tekken 8. 1. it goes into a special camera angle when it lands 2. she uses both of her hands to initiate it 3. it locks your character in an animation I'm not even an "intelligent" player and when I was watching that (hadn't fought an Alisa in my own T8 play yet) instantly thought "ok so clearly this is a grab. In Tekken you can tell which button you need to press based on which arm is outstretched. She uses both hands to start this, so if you press 1+2 or duck you won't get grabbed" DSP on the other hand proceeded to try LITERALLY NOTHING to try to get out of it, I think he got hit with it like 9 times too. An "intelligent" player would have figured it out after getting hit once, someone that understands how Tekken works would have figured it out after 2-3 times, a casual that at least knows what buttons do would have just tried pressing shit after 4-5 times.

The 800 bucks includes the new stick. He paid $140 for SF6 on Xbox & PS5, $350 for the Qanba Obsidian 2 and about $400 for the new one. About $890 - $950 spent so far. The guy coulda easily gotten a mid-spec computer.

When I was 20, I remember headshotting the entire enemy team in Gears of War multiplayer many a times. Now that I'm near 40, I was wondering why it's such a struggle to not end up in last place. When I was 20, I remember headshotting the entire enemy team in Gears of War multiplayer many a times. Now that I'm near 40, I was wondering why it's such a struggle to not end up in last place. I couldn't feel that my skills have waned or anything like that. I simply accept that the younger players are just inherently perform better than me. Phil needs to come to this realization before he blows a gasket.
