This game was such incredibly well detailed From the night feeding location to night time water- I mean- the initial reviews couldn't have been more wrong about this gem.
Oh I totally agree mate. The reviewers simply didn't play the game long enough to fully judge how good it actually is. Many of them later admitted this. Unfortunately, too many of these reviews contributed to the refusal for a Days Gone sequel. It's sad, but hopefully the world will one day get a sequel for this amazing game.
Came to the location, got attacked by the pack of wolves the first time. Reloaded the game.. Then some marauders or militia dudes appeared, the horde killed them :D I wanted to try the bike blocking method, couldn´t even get there, so I jumped on the bus, used attractors to lure them next to the car with the explosives and then finished them with gunplay. That was quite challenging for me, as I prefer burning them. Sometimes you plan on doing something and the game is like "naaah, nope" :D
06:58 ish: I love it when they go rocketing past like that 😂 At one point after fighting a couple breakers at the same time Deek started rocketing into the sky repeatedly - i like to think it was in celebration of his victory 🎉 After a few trips to the sky he came back down to earth & resumed life as normal 😂 Love everything about this game, weird buggies like that included!
You will get a lot of strange stuff happening with this game, but just another thing about it that makes it so good. Nothing like a fly away Deacon to make you laugh.
I have had the game for PC for a few years but never got around to playing it much than I have the last two weeks. Since I am not very good at 'horde' type games, I decided to check YT to see how others are handling some of the more problematic hordes I have encountered, and I came across your videos. Fantastic presentation showing numerous ways to dispatch each of the hordes...what's not to like! Fantastic job and you have a new subscriber!

Went for Easy Kill location #4 but I couldn’t get up there on time so backed out of plan A and went with #3 which is right behind you over the fence. Glad I had I back up plan. Thanks!
Alright, this horde & I are no longer friends. I _finally_ took em out but it took me nearly an HOUR, not bc I chose a slow or stealth method but bc it kept glitching out! First I tried luring them to the bus & trucks in the water, no matter how I did it (on bike, on foot, attractors, etc) they'd start to run toward me, I'd shoot a few and the rest would run the opposite direction, never to be seen again. So I checked your video & decided to try conventional method - on the way over my bike did a somersault over _FLAT_ roadway!?! 😂 (I kept a loop recording of it but idk how to upload such things, never been interested in uploading). Finally get over to the ledge and the game wouldn't let me draw a weapon, any weapon! Insta-kill. So I finally get there & the horde is nowhere to be found even tho it's morning. So I wait. And wait. And wait. Give up, reload and there they are, finally!!! Throw my attractor, grenade & draw my gun - but no matter where I go the game refuses to let me aim it at the freakers!!!!! Dead again Finally got em to load again & it all went smoothly aside from me not being far enough over or something bc they came at me from both sides of the ledge. Meh, I'm just glad to be done with em _finally!!_ 😂
Holy s&*t L8D, you really do get put through the mill with these hordes. The minute you can't draw a weapon, turn off the game and reload, as you'll get all sorts of bother after that with the game. But you finally got them L8D. You deserve a strong drink after that amount of craziness, lol.

I've just done this horde, meant to do another but ran into these guys and gals lol. Ended up chasing me down the cliffside to the water. I'm not sure if you've discovered the easy kill spot yet, but I stood in that water you see in kill location 5. And it was a very specific spot so didn't move. For one, they couldn't seem to reach me and two, for some reason they lost me 😂 I'm gonna upload the video soon. Might help others lol. I was laughing at them the whole time they were standing there looking for me like numptys lol.
Appreciate the info mate. If you release a video on this, I'll definitely give it a watch. I may have to revisit this horde just to test that area out.
@@borislav247 It's up 😊 Not as skilled as posting videos but it's up haha. I did try and grab the spot I was at using the map, but when you cross that spot, there's a definite divide. There was no smooth way to get down there because I kinda fell over 😂 but they were relentless buggers and followed me down.
I'm surprised that method no. 1 isn't exactly an untouchable spot considering the steep incline. Also , every time you use the bike as a barrier I get flashbacks of the many times the freakers cut off my escape by knocking my bike over , I just don't get it. Freakers must have great respect for you lol. My favorite spots are always the untouchable areas which you always seem to find. Great video ! 👍👍
As always FM, you are far too kind with you're comments & praise. The bike thing really boils down to the size of the horde you are facing & the amount of freakers approaching the bike. With small hordes, the bike is amazing at halting their progress, but the larger hordes can be an issue, unless you limit the amount of freakers at the bike. Basically why I devoted so much time on the pack becide the bike. Leave them unattended, and that bike get's walloped to the floor big style in seconds. It's a crazy one as a single freaker in other parts of the game can knock the bike down single handedly. Bend Studio are basically Fu%&"$g with us, lol.
I just did Easy Kill Location 1, they didn't go for the bike, they came at me below the elevation. I was to the right side of the sandbags(if you're facing the house Boris was shooting at to get their attention) You can imagine the horror I felt when I thought it didnt work and I'm about to get f*ked Thankfully nobody got to me though, you just have to clear them quickly before they go all World War Z on you. Ive finally completed the main game, and even though at times i didnt type a response, thanks for all the tips. Especially the smp9 which i always carry, but theres some interesting guns in the game, at moment im using the Chicago chopper and the crossbow, and tbh i hardly used to cross bow in the main game, I normally used the RPD and before that the MG45 imo with hordes you defently need an LMG lol and get to as many Nero sites early in the game for youre stamina and focus, then go for health..but thats jmo and how i played it. But i love yhat the game still carries on and you even have a few missions to do. Im begging them for a Days gone 2 lol, they didnt really touch on what Nero was doing, so that would be a good second part.

If you take on the horde in the cave, it's 300 strong. But the Beaver Marsh rest stop horde is a fraction of the cave size horde mate, it's definitely 125 strong. Trust me, I took out this horde a LOT, and always checked the freaker ear count for conformation.
Or you can get them to chase you to that "magic" guard rail that Deek can easily jump over, but totally stops hordes in their tracks, leaving you perfectly safe.

When i was driving back to lost lake in days gone i saw a horde near at tunnel yeah i decided to go far and the horde wasnt gone so i decided to pass the horde near at tunnel and i managed pass the horde and get back to lost lake and when i go back to the tunnel the horde near at tunnel was gone

The horde in the mine ain't this one mate. You don't even have to take out the horde in the mine, but you do need to complete the mission (which is the "JUST DOING MY JOB" mission) as well as completing the Days Gone game. Only once these 2 requirements are met, will you ever get the chance to take out this horde. Hope this helps mate.
If it's the really fast firing one, that's the SMP 9, and you can get this bad boy quick in the game by taking out 4 hordes. The other 2 weapons I use on this video are the IDF Pup (another weapon you can earn from taking out hordes, but 20 hordes are required to unlock this one, or you can purchase it in the South), and the RPD, I purchased that one from Wizard Island. If you want to see how to unlock the SMP 9 early, I have a video that shows this GG.

Firstly, make sure you head over to this horde during the day to ensure they are there. If they ain't, park up around 100m away from the cabin & make a game save. Then simply keep loading this game save until the horde appears. You usually get them to appear in 3 reloads or less doing this.

Night time killing for me, was like shooting fish in a barrel, a breaker even appeared to help me out, what a nice man.

The horde ambushed me the second i saved him qnd i killed off the horse two times in a row and it didnt count
A bit bizarre. Did you get conformation on screen to say you defeated this horde?. If not, you've missed some.

They should be able to push the bike over. Dude using cheats or something. They always push my bike down and run over it
This is played on a PS5, not a PC, so no cheats are used.
These are cheap tactics and make the game boring
These methods are shown to help people who struggle with the hordes in Days Gone. If you want to call them cheap & boring, so be it.
