I went to the local big tire shop and they gave me two old front end loader tires for free. At about a thousand pounds a piece they pack my trails solid. I pull them side by side or one in front of another, depending on which trail I am grooming. Good for making new trails in the summer too. I pull them with a 50hp Kubota.

Yeah thy sure would pack them solid. As you can see my trails are too narrow or I’d do something similar. Thanks for watching and happy holidays

Well Sandy. It is a very simple and low cost for grooming trails. It may be also good for fat biking. I will try it on my woodlot here in New Brunswick

Hey there buddy how are ya? That looks like fun driving around on a snow machine. I’ve never ridin one. I guess in Canada they are a must! Hey up there do you folks say “merry Christmas” or “ happy Christmas” like the folks across the pond? Any way I wish you and yours a very merry Christmas. Thanks for bringing us along on the fun!

I'm doing well thanks. Bit warmer now that I'm inside. Up here we tend to say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year". Alot of winter fun is had on snow machines for sure. But there are many parts of Canada where they don't get the constant snow like we do here. Southern parts of Ontario and out of the coast in BC (some parts) they get more warm temperatures so the snow comes and goes. I love the snow machines though, gives me a reason to make it through winter haha. Thanks for checking out the video. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Sawing with Sandy I watch a channel called riflechair Richard lives in BC he has a channel about shooting, rifle stuff, reloading and politics. It looks cold and wet up there lots of rain, and of course lots of biting bugs in the warm months. I really enjoy watching your channel, you do a lot of cool stuff. I don’t do much right now don’t have a lot of time. I’m stuck in the rat race for now. Lots of traffic driving! No fun at all. I want to be out in the woods being creative, making stuff. Thanks again Sandy😃

I had a skidoo legend 600 SDI two up and sold it . Should of kept it . Was bullet proof . Just put the power steering and camoplast tracks on the 825 I John Deere gator . Showed the wife your trail groomer device . She wants her trails all groomed for walking the dogs . Well guess what I’m building this weekend 😂 👍

Hey Sandy, great to see your new Carhartt bibs over your Dunlops there at 3:39. How are you liking them together? I got myself a pair of Dunlops too, I got the green kind - really loving my new boots this Winter. Here in the interior of BC we just got 2 feet of snow in 24 hours so I'm digging out for the next day or two. Keep the videos coming!

Yeah the bibs over the boots are good. The green boots are just as good from what others have told me who where them. Have a great holiday

It reminds me of when I was young and grooming the trails with an ATV. Even more important to have the middle windrow spread. I used a very old bed frame with the metal mesh. I would put a longer rope on one side to have it ride offset to the ATV and widen the trails. Do you pack the trails for the tractor too? Thanks!

Good idea using the old bed frame. I’m not too familiar with the middle section you’re talking about. I’ll have to look into that. I normally don’t take the tractor too far from the shop area as the snow gets too deep. I the. Just snowblowbthe snow around the shop/yard and driveway. Thanks for watching and happy holidays

This kind of bed frame no longer exists for decades. It was a combined bed frame and box spring design. I could not find an image on Google of this. Using a pallet is pretty much the same.

Hey. Do you have any trouble with the sled overheating?

That 550fan engine has been great. Always starts and never goes above about 25km/h and still works like a mule. Great engine in all conditions

That’s great. I’ve only ever own one sled and it over heated all the time unless the conditions were perfect!
