Great job Sandy. I like the camera action! Thumbs up for the person behind the camera! I was curious about rough terrain... I got the answer! You may want to paint your axe handle with a bright color... Thanks!
That’s a great idea about the handle colour. I’ve nearly lost it in deep snow before. And don’t even get me started about losing stuff in deep snow haha
Looks like you’ve got a decent amount of snow up there and more on the way this weekend. It’s bleak and grey down here in southeastern Ontario. While you’ll be getting lots of the white stuff this weekend, we’ll be drowning in heavy rain. Sighhhh... nothing worse than cold rain and mud ... to be followed by a bleak frozen wasteland. Might have to do a trip up your way to get the itch outa my snowmobile throttle thumb!
Yeah I can understand that. I also hate when it’s winter and Mother Nature won’t cooperate. I love snow and although moving it around is a lot work, sure beats not having it for snowmobiling. Happy sledding if ya get out
Hey buddy how are ya? Wow processing fire wood in the snow looks like a whole lotta work. I guess ya can’t get a truck and trailer back there they will sink in and be stuck in the snow. I’m glad I watched this video I don’t have much experience in the snow. The property I’m looking to buy is at 4000 feet elevation so the snow doesn’t stay all winter long. Now I have a better idea about working in the cold. I’ve hunted in the snow and was in Korea through a winter. Living out in the snow is no fun!! Regardless of the weather you are out making it happen. Right on Buddy. Take care and thanks for the video
Yeah it can be a hassle but I prefer gathering wood in the winter as I can stay cool and there’s no bugs. If it weren’t for the muddy terrain and tight trails I’dbuae the atv in the nicer weather and a trailer. But this gives me an excuse to get outside. The property you’re looking at sounds great. 4000’ is certainly going to feel different than here where I’m at about 300’ haha
Sawing with Sandy I’ve never been to your area I’m thinking it’s hot and buggy in the summer and fall. Gotta say buddy you’ve got a nice spread there. I’m sitting by the wood stove staying warm, caught a cold been off work for 3 days. Maybe I need to go out side and work the cold off like grandpa used to say. Have a great day and thanks for being me along .
Hey sandman hows it going? Love watching your videos buddy.. You have great advice and tips keep up the great work loving your place and hows it turning out
That was funny . You just dumped the sled . Pelican sled . Is there a place to safely hook up the hitch on the sled with out breaking the plastic ? Another question ... where did you get that hitch . I know nothing about snowmobiles . LOL
Yeah i normally just dump the wood to try and not have to handle the wood again. There’s a steel bar that pins to the front of the sled for pulling. Sled is actually quite thick material. The snowmobile is one of the only ways I’d be able to get back into this spot since the snow is deep and in warm weather it’s all muddy
Another nice day there! Fun little task there! Nice to be out an about! Thanks for having us! Andrew from NB :)
Another great video Sandy!
I remember those days, used to haul 10-12 cords out every winter with the snowmobile
That’s surely enough to get the heart going . At least you’d be warm I figure
Good day Sandy I can see how it becomes a job and not a as fun but it makes good videos
I still love gathering wood even when it’s cold or wet out. Probably like an addiction or something haha
Thats a sweet setup!
Thanks appreciate it

I wish my safety supervisor was as friendly and fluffy as yours.....
He may be a little slow to point out hazards but he sure is friendly
