I honestly think there are just too many people that truly cannot appreciate what she ACTUALLY did in this performance. To pull off soprano opera with such crystal clear enunciation, it’s near IMPOSSIBLE to not move your lips or expose deep modulating movements in the throat and chest. Then simply make goofy smiles while coordinating the dolls movements with believable synchronicity all while singing opera beautifully in that ventriloquist style. That was absolutely mind blowing. She should have just swept the floor with anyone else. That was stunning.

Oh, and I should add that it’s sad how so many people cannot recognize the nuances that comprise insane upper level talent and skill. Most folks focus on that which is to their particular liking. Very often there comes along someone like Darci that displays an entirely rare level of ability, but to truly appreciate that rarity, one must spot those subtleties for the genius they possess and add them all up. Not always an easy thing to do.

@@Far2hip Honestly, I'm so glad you recommended Nightwish to me, Floor Jansen is so good I couldn't believe what I was hearing.. Metal vibes with Opera, I never thought it would work but it did, also she could sing rock. She definitely is talented, I like a lot of different music, typically Opera isn't something I often listen too because I find it boring, but I also know how hard it is to pull off and I was amazed when Darci did opera while controlling the puppet & with her mouth nearly closed.. Phantom of the opera wasn't as interesting to me but her voice is still beautiful. Music is my life & I love it, how nice it would be to work in the music industry someday.. Tbh I'm glad you went on a big rant, most people who reply to my comments as short as the original one reply's with something even shorter. I wouldn't really call me a "critical listener" though, I just love music & can spot if someone has talent, if they just need voice lessons, or if they have nothing lmfao

I think THIS is the best act ever in any talent show (auditions, live shows). It has everything: comedy, acting, ventriloquism, OPERA singing...
You might be right about that. I can't imagine anything ever surpassing this. Singers, magicians and comedians are a dime a dozen. A young expert opera singing ventriloquist? One in 10 million. This is a generational talent.

This girl is the definition of an amazing talent! I know that this is also the result of a lot of practice...but you need a huge talent to sing like this, especially opera! Darcy can always become a singer, whenever she wants to. But this is more than just singing. :)

That's exactly what I thought the magician who won the competition was impressive but come on she sings opera with her mouth closed better than anyone I have ever heard she definitely deserve to win
I am a ventriloquist to and I find singing really hard as you have to substitute letters and make sure it sounds right. It’s rlly impressive when someone does this.
She would have won AGT Champion if it was up the all the viewers and not just the 50 people chosen. It is not a fair voting system.

2021 - This young lady is unbelievable...as a voice minor in college, I've had to sing this aria, and it wasn't easy with my mouth wide open. Ugh!!! Darci has unreal talent.
I am 94 years old when I was a kid we used to Have Puppet shows in school sure not like this this girl is fabulous Especially for her age Love Love her amazing talent.
She lost to an opera singer, she showed her that she can sing opera, WITH her mouth CLOSED..
The only way to tell the fact that she is singing is the movement of her vocal cords...absolutely amazing....

Darci Lynne is multitalented (singer, ventriloquist, puppeteer, voice actress, actress, comedian, storyteller, host,) she was a gymnast when she was younger. She can sing different genre (popular, showtune, opera, rhythm & blues, rock & roll, country, yodel, rap) One of Darci's talents that is often over look is she has the ability to do multitask at the same time (sing/speak, ventriloquism, puppeteering, voice acting, acting, comedy, storytelling,) the average person find it hard to focus on more then one or two task at the same time where Darci make it look so easy at a young age.

This is next level talent...the "echos" at the beginning of her routine, by themselves were stunning...singing opera is nearly opposite of ventriloquism where it is vital to open the throat for "proper" sound and tone....I sat here stunned...and have NO clue as to how she pulled it off...that particular background arrangement has sparse "reference" notes to let the singer know where to remain on pitch...everything about this leaves me gobsmacked...

Dont be too gobsmacked, all the great artists, actors, musicians, magicians get supernatural help from the god of this world. No one, but no one makes it to the big times without the help and approval of the god of this world. This child sings in so many different voices and ranges, there can be only one logical explanation. Trust me she had a lot of help. Try watching David Copperfield, the magician. He openly admits to getting help to perform his superhuman feats from the underworld.

David Copperfield performs tricks and he knows how he does them. I'm not going to debate whether there's a God. But she deserves all the credit because she worked extremely hard for it. I have loved watching Darci grow up. She's turned in to a beautiful young lady, and still very entertaining.

Not really. Try watching the super magician, David Copperfield. He was able to levitate over the grand canyon and do so many out of this world feats that defy logic. Where do you suppose he and artists like Darci get the power to perform these extra ordinary feats; there is only one explanation; demons working through them.

Whenever I'm down, I just find Darci somewhere on YT and watch her perform and it brings sunshine to my heart, a smile to my face and a day full of rainbows.
What is most impressive is that she didn't even actually make it to the finals which means she wasn't even in the top 10! And this one act catapulted her to the 2nd position. So she must have changed the minds of millions! That is one hell of an impactful performance!

I've also watched her performances several times and I just noticed that with this performance her voice has maturwd so much since her audition. I love listening to opera and I have to say that this was a beautiful rendition of this song.
