Ventriloquism is hard enough, but to sing is another level of talent. Darci is simply extraordinary.
Not in any way disparaging her, but I do feel she is probably on the spectrum. Her story sounds familiar (as in i picked up ventriloquism at the same age for the same reason even) and she displays the kind of skill level at such a young age she almost has to be neiroduvergent
@@ConstantChaos1I don’t think so. She has a great understanding of people as evidenced through her humor, even when she’s on the spot like in the beginning. Most (not all, but most) autistic people don’t “get” a lot of neurotypical humor. Plenty of people are just introverts or have anxiety. There isn’t enough background in this video to really say either way.

@@d.n.8919 sorry I didnt see this earlier, and what you are describing one expression of ASD, as a healthcare provider (actually one of the few who can diagnose without direct examination) with ASD I can assure you that not only are you generalizing a spectrum disorder but you are blatantly ignoring the way asd tends to present in females, who are greatly under-diagnosed and greatly harmed by the spread of just this sort of stereotyping. In the future please dont speak on a topic if all you are going to do is stereotype ppl.
The most emotional part is, even though the bunny is not alive,, the mum hugged her daughter along with the bunny... I can see how the bunny is connected in her life... Thanks for giving me such an emotional moment ❣️...

I'm so glad this video showed the initial interview with Darci before her audition performance. She had so much personality and spoke so well for such a young lady. Her performance was undoubtedly of epic proportions!

To those not aware...
For a ventriloquist, the "B" and "P" sounds are the most difficult say well without any lip movement.
Darci says those sounds flawlessly
"B" is like d and "p" is like t but it takes practice to make the d's and t's to sound like their respective letters.

@StaticBlaster actually thats a lot easier to do. with letters like 'd' and 't', its all about tongue placement while you talk. for 'b' and 'p' you need your lips to actually touch to make the sound, which defeats the purpose of ventriloquism for the most part

Singing requires mouth shape and diction. To sing that well while not moving your lips is astonishing.

I tried ventriloquism when I was about her age. Never could get the hang of it. Darci had only been doing it for two years and could do it that well? I gave up after about a year. Totally impressed.
I have to thank America and Britain's got talent, for sharing these absolutely gifted people to the world

You can tell from her pre-performance interview with the judges that she was so nervous, like heart beating out of her chest nervous. But she nailed it!

Prodigies are oftentimes shy and insecure. Petunia is a psychological anchor and an alter ego who allows Darci to express herself without exposing her-own-self. She is talented for sure, but you can also detect how ruthlessly rigorous she was in training herself: just watch those few seconds when she is overwhelmed with emotions and just two heartbeats from collapsing on the stage, and yet she forces herself to keep her composure, repositions Petunia on the pedestal, and even makes Petunia move and say a few more words, just to keep the illusion alive, even if she has already secured her qualification for the final show. That is typical of many good ventriloquists: an admixture of OCD, bipolarism, self-discipline, and unlimited passion for what they do... plus an incredible amount of talent. All of that would be exceptional at any age, but at 12? Jeez...
