I suggest just sitting down and follow along. Might take a hour or so with pause and play and pause and play etc but you will develop a better understanding of your gun and if you need to replace parts it's not a daunting task.
Hello! I no longer have this replica, but, the whole receiver is just a TM style one. So should (in theory) be easy to find a TM type ak receiver and swap them over, basically drop in. Pheas
Educational, quality vids ! . They also help with my autism to relax , dunno why but it does 😂 Keep up the good work m8 Much respect David aka Thariodav
Hello! I am not sure if the stock attachment on this is compatible with any of the AR type stock systems, it might have to be a change of receiver to accept an ar stock adapter. Pheas
Hi Pheas. Great video. I have the Cyma version. Great rifle but the hop up slide moves when firing. Where would you place the shim on the hop up unit to add more grip to the slider? Thanks
Hello! Glad you liked it! I would put one (or a couple) under the screws on each side of the adjuster arm to make sure you get the friction against the body of the hop unit. This is actually a really good idea for a video! Pheas
Hello! It should be fine with an 11.1v in it. I would have thought if anything was going to break then it would be the piston, but they are cheap and easily replaced if it did break Pheas
anyone know any stock replacements for this gun my stock is very flimsy? I don't know if its the screws or the stock if its the stock itself tell me some possible replacements thanks
Yes it does / should, provided its the same format. If you look in the mag well, if it has the same 4 screws this one does (pretty sure it does) then you are good to use this. Pheas
What if the bucking was torn in that JG? because I've never heard of a bucking that's split like that. That made me think: How about adding a small part to the videos where you check the quality of the hop-up bucking? If it has a lot of grease (sometimes they are really gunked up), is it in good condition out of the factory, or is it sealed properly/loose on the barrel etc. Just a little thought I had since you added the glove tests to your unboxing. No worries if you don't like the idea and don't want to add that to the disassembly videos :D Fiddling around the gearbox is already finicky enough without opening the hop-up unit.
Hello! Its defo a "design feature" of the rubber, BUT you do make a good valid point about referencing the state of the hop and barrel. Its hard to keep the videos monetised with unboxings, so the algorithms would see it (more than likely) as a reference to upgrades / modifications so I will start to add it into future disassembles as they almost ALWAYS get limited ads (apparently its not ok to show how to work on a toy gun) Pheas
It should just unscrew on a 14mm negative thread (opposite to normal screws / threads) there may be a retaining pin that needs to be pushed down with a flat head (was a while since this, so can't remember exactly) pheas
@@Snowy_Breeze From what I can remember, there shouldnt be a pin, maybe just apply heat (like hair dryer) to break the glue I dont think I have seen a pin in one before. If you want to email me pics to have a look?? or send them to one of my socials: pheasairsoftyt@gmail.com. Pheas
Thank you for this video! It helped me save mine!
This is absolutely incredible.. Thank you. Wish I had the skills to preform this surgery on mine!

Thank you so much I just was able to fix my gun because of this video
How to change the handguard
This was so helpful and helped me save one of my favorite airsoft rifles thank u
Do you think you could make a video putting a new receiver on it? And could it be possible to upgrade the bottom receiver?

@@PheasAirsoft cheers mate will give that a try. Would you use standard gearbox shims?
@@PheasAirsoft ps that would be great to see a video on how to do it 👌🏻

Nah i can't put that on to line the holes to put the screw
Do all AK Guns have Similar dissembly parts and methods??? Plus would ever do a review/dissembly of an AKS74SU by Double Bell??
I guess so
How do you do the quick change spring? If it is qhick change
Hello! It is not a quick change spring on this one, sorry! Pheas
Just what I needed 👍👍
Glad I could help you out! Pheas
Question any reason wht the trigger looks like that?
The external part of it, no idea why that looks exactly... I'm assuming it's based on a real AK trigger... But I don't know specifically.. pheas
@PheasAirsoft No, I have an AK myself, and I've never seen such a weird design. It makes it look fake tbh, even tho that's not the case.
Trying to install M190 spring then every component inside the gear box fell apart 😔
Feel you pain with this, can be very frustrating to get these back together sometimes! Pheas
Can this gun be upgraded at all?
Howdy, yes it can. Its just a version 3 gearbox, so will take any number of upgrades like motors, gears, nozzzles, barrels etc. Pheas

@PheasAirsoft I'm in the U.S. so there's glue. How do I get the pin out? It's not like on the AK74's, it's in the flashhider itself.
