- Laenor Velaryon was just a complete waste and disappointment in House Of The Dragon. He was a wasted character that did nothing to help his family in any way. He should have been taken care of earlier in the show.

9:28 and not all characters should? imagine a story, with an epic surrounding, and all of the characters have the same grandoise energy and charisma to them. It would result in a highly unbalanced story. You yourself said that laenors inactiveness has huge effects on the world and story of the show, so doesnt that make him a god character?
why does him being passive and having a lack of agency take away from him being a good charcter? Not every well written character has to be "a partner who steps up in tough times" that sounds rather unrealistic for a show like HOTD if you ask me. Or to rephrase it, the way he is written is definitely not unrealistic/out of theme for the show.
10:00 this is a huge argument on why hes a well written and needed character. If every charcters legacy is one of bravery and honour wouldnt that be extremely boring?

I broadly agree with your argument, but proofread your script next time. It doesn’t make sense for someone to conform to being unyielding.
