I just came back from Cancun with family and stayed at Paradisus...its geared more towards families and older people coming to to just relax and take the stress off
James, that pool and beach were beautiful areas! You definitely have a sweet tooth. The atrium was so zen and that sushi restaurant layout was so unique! Too bad about the night life. Great video, thanks! All the best to you!
Howdy Ho Sir James ! I’ve always wondered what this place looked like inside . Been past it a few times. I agree for a junior suite the room was not very good. I liked the atrium and overall look of the property . I love when the pools have the beach view as well . Too bad the nightlife was non existent. More action at shady pines retirement home lol . Thanks for the great review! Would a room upgrade make it at least marginally better? Especially since room service is usually not that great anywhere. Food is always number one with me, then add their pool and beach to make it nice.
You should add Garza Blanca Puerto Vallarta to your bucket list to review. Other than their strong effort to pitch time shares, it’s heaven on earth! We go back almost yearly. It also gives you easy access by boat taxi to Yelapa and other beautiful beaches
We keep going back! We’ve stayed there already 5 times I keep trying to find a more prettier/luxurious resort with a fun pool and none match it on the zona hotelera and none compare I hate how tiny the rooms are but I looooove how stunning the lobby is

Two highlights for me were the Flank Steak they served outside and the smell of the hotel. My wife and i went there before the kids came along, and got bored because there was nothing to do late night. Other than that, we loved the stay.
I was there for 1 week, just got back today. Resort is beautiful FROM OUTSIDE ONLY. Rooms were old and outdated. Lemon fish was the best restaurant just like he mentioned in the video. I felt like I didn’t get enough in return for what I had paid for. Was it good yeah, was it excellent, nope. Beach was clean restaurant and bar workers were friendly but front desk agents have attitude..

I saw a glimpse of the TRS Coral at the end of the video. If you are going there I'm excited to see what you think of it. Went there last December and my girlfriend and I loved it but it seemed like too much of a high-end resort and atmosphere for the frat vibe the pool gave off. Wasn't very relaxing. We ended up going to the fizz pool on the grand palladium side to relax. Also beach wait service was non existent. French restaurant was amazing by the way.

I stayed at the TRS in the Mayan Riviera a couple years back when I had a partner, but it was an older property, and didn’t really wow me except the pool was beautiful (no beach - all rocks). Meals were only ok at that property. The Coral looks modern and beautiful. I’m just looking for some R&R and good food. A bit of a fun vibe at the pool would be great and just socializing with people. Was thinking if I got bored, I could go over to the Palladium side and see what activities or ruckus was going on there, and then always retreat back to the adults side for a more relaxed time.
@rbvan as a solo traveller it would probably be a really good resort. Lots of live music by the pool and the pool is bigger than it looks in pictures. Lots of loungers and Bali beds(at a cost). Everything is close together on the TRS side and the water taxi's are a nice touch to get over to the palladium restaurants. If you want relaxing go to the fizz pool in the morning. It was warmer and quieter than the TRS pool. Helios is a good option for breakfast if you want to be by the beach and capricho has great food and service. Lots of staff went out of their way to help. However, it might have changed now but you couldn't go and order from the food stand by the pool so you had to order from a server which could take awhile for them to make their rounds. Pool food was good though.

My wife & I are heading here for the second time in April, absolutely love this place. We're doing their Reserve Master Suite Ocean View, it's their all-adult section. Just a few comments about the review - room service is never very good, no matter where you stay. With 8 restaurants within a few minutes walk why would you order in anyway? I don't....
When we went in December the only extras we paid for was lobster shrimp and scallops severed pool side in a cabana that was $75 for a large portion that feed the 2 of us
I've never been to Cancun yet, but it really says something when this resort is sooooooooo iconic and recognizable, even I have come across photos of it over the years. And I just always thought the exterior of this resort looked ugly and dated in those pictures and reminded me of Disney's Contemporary Resort in how ugly and dated that resort, too, looks.................and just sort of assumed it was much the same on the interior as it was on the exterior. Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised that's not the case at all inside. Still not sure I'll ever stay there because, like you said, it's boring...............but I did enjoy the aesthetic of the place from the inside as your review B-roll footage vividly reveals. 🙂
I Hope you have had a nice time in Cancun, Sadly this destiny is not For all Tourists, because of the prices, going there is very, very expensive and most of mexican workers who earn one mean salary it's very dificult travelling on there 😢
We just went in May , it was out 3rd time there. And unfortunately we will not be returning. They have a huge roach problem. Not only in the room but at the buffet as well. We were at the flora restaurant and they were crawling on the chairs! Spend your money somewhere else, not worth it.
Paradisus Punta Cana (we did Royal Service/Reserve level) was the gold standard in AI that we have never been able to recapture (currently under renovation) It's disappointing to see your experiences at different resorts in this chain do not match. Doing Xcaret Arte this May, here's hoping.
I'm in the same boat as you, Paradisus Punta Cana Royal Service was the absolute best. Unfortunately since the Pandemic, I havent been able to find that wonderful service and delicious food that i experienced at Paradisus Punta Cana anywhere, not even at the Paradisus Punta Cana! Please come back and tell us of your experience at Xcaret.
@@AHasNYC WAYYYY late on this but try to sum up.... Everything was great! Room was good. Great was parks, drinks, transportation, etc. Food was nice restaurant to 5 star good. Staff is attentive to anticipatory to your needs. Stay in the Arte building for extra pool and restaurant as well as access to sister resort, Xcaret Mexico. The Sunday brunch is to die for, extra for most, free for everyone in Arte building. There is subdued nightlife, a speak easy , and more a younger party scene at the Cantina at Xcaret Mexico. They should be opening an expansion to the Mexico side in 2025 with more on the way. They have private airport lounges while you wait for your bus from airport to hotel. Because the resort is so big you do have to fill out a wishlist and make a lot of reservations 60 days out. Only negatives was check-in and check out was a pain but it contrast not a huge deal.
PSA!!!!! Dated resort maybe 15 years ago in its prime it was good here currently in the summer of July 2024. Don’t let these reviews gas light you the restaurants inside the resort dog water hot af inside the resort. Hot af pools, stafff are just as much trash except the cleaning staff and restocking staff as far as the food mediocre mascalzone pizza/ blue agave are the only restaurants to look forward to location is A1 not gonna lie. After the 2nd room service order you will be charged moving forward so save your money and go to Pueblo bonito in Cabo or Hyatt Ziva, xcaret,in Cancun. Or if you decide to stay at paradisus atleast stay at the playa del Carmen paradisus I’ve been told it’s only 15 years old.

Try Excellence Playa Mujeres and Beloved next door. Sister properties with totally different vibe.

Paradisus is more of a family resort...only one of few with babysitting...which is why it stands out
