I cannot thank you enough for this video. I watched ALL of your Cancun videos; this one convinced me to book Iberostar coral level and it was the best experience! The food was great, the room was very cool/cold (in a good way, it’s hot here!), the staff were so fun and kind, and the drinks were great!! I just got back from iberostar Cancun. Here's my review of the coral level:
Room: very clean
View: all ocean front
Night life: non existent
Pros: the food is really good. The American steakhouse is the best.
Cons: not for a solo traveler, or couples that like to have fun. Not even for seniors who like to have fun. Very boring, except for the family side (but kids are there).
Nice place aesthetically. Lacks a vibe, and all the bars close early. No dj at the adult pool. Only one pool on the adult side. Adult layout lacks shaded areas. Extreme sun everywhere. Must reserve beach chairs early (7am).
Will not return.

I’ve been traveling to the Caribbean a lot and Iberostar is my go to resort specially the grand. You are on point in everything in an honest way. I’ve been to all of Iberostars in the Caribbean except Cozumel and I couldn’t wait for the Aruba to open. Yes, we can find imperfection but it has its own charisma to keep you coming back. I have to mention that the coral and grands have REAL cloth hand towels on their public bathrooms and real flowers/plants as well.
There's so many. I don't want to pick the wrong one. When I searched Ibersostar Selecction Cancun, the resort looks the same but not the room (s). Please confirm which resort is this. Also, is it adults only?
The view from your room was amazing. The ocean was so beautiful there. It's snowing where I am right now, and I wish I was on that beach.

The gym was empty so that’s an A+. Even though the food wasn’t incredible, i will give that up for the view and venue. This place is A+ by your review. All the best, 🎉
Congrads James you finally made it to an Iberostar! Looks like a great stay. I'll be interested to see it when you make it to Iberostar Grand Bavaro in DR and Iberostar Grand Rose Hall in Jamaica. They are both adults only and mostly laid back but upscale.

Last year was Punta Cana, Execellence for our honeymoon, and we loved it. We value your details of rooms, service, activities, the different options and most of all FOOD! Coolist this is a perfect score! My family went in 2021 and we had the BEST experience. Going back again this year and taking other family because it’s that good. Happy to hear it’s still giving top billing for an all inclusive.
Can you use the Adults only side if your not a Coral level and their restaurants?
@@markgraves6230 Unfortunately, no you can’t @markgraves6230. When I mention family, it’s because my children are adults. I’m assuming they think if you booked on the other side it’s with children and you can’t bring them over to Coral Level. Book on Coral Level and you can do both sides. 😊

I stayed in February of 2013. Loved it. Adult area and other rooms were not built yet. Looks just as nice from over 10 yrs ago. Will re look at to stay

Thank you so much for sharing my sister and I are headed there in May 2024! It was nice to get a view of the activities and the property. The balconies look beautiful I could sit out there all day looking at the ocean! I am excited to go here, at first I wasn’t too sure about this place because it was recommended by a family member that likes golf. Lol so I was not too sure about that because I’m not an avid golfer. But I do love volleyball and definitely swimming and I will be in that ocean no matter what lol! Thank you so much. Iberostar Paraiso (pick one of the five, we prefer the Lindo for price vs options) is where its at! Weve been to tons of resorts and nothing compares to it. Huge oasis entangled with the jungle!
Try iberostar cozumel I've been to both and agree but that's got a very unique jungle/island vibe and all the buildings are 4 bedroom bungalows
I stayed at the Grand Paraiso twice. I tried the food at the lindo once to see if we could go with the kids. It really didn’t compare. The buffet was sad! Plus the ocean front rooms are pretty solid.
You did it again James!! Thanks for the great review, I remember when this place was the Hilton and it didn't look quite as polished as it does now! I think I'll have to bring someone ahem... "special" to this one! Thanks again, I'm still jealous how you stay in great shape after all your trips, lol!! One MAJOR concern though is that room temperature issue, if it really does fluctuate like that......ooh i don't know!

Coral was amazing, service and rooms great . It was a beautiful extension to Iberostar but is is a beatiful hotel with a beautiful beach and pool. Ocean swimming mostly impossible, water too rough. Just a nice beach , not tropical ,again nice Hotel with a nice beach. Staff great, food exceptional. The rest of Cancun is a tourist hustle, not worth the trouble. We probably won't return.

Yes, the Iberostar is located along the best section of Cancun's beaches, right next to Playa Delfines. Enjoy Cancun!
Is it a crowded Public beach?
That section of beach is public accessible from Playa Delfines, but mainly serves hotel guests. Anyway, the beaches are quite large, so even when busy its never actually crowded like Miami Beach. @@jontris6118

It was good, its a very large resort, so take advantage of the free golf cart shuttles. The beach is nice but really can't get into the ocean due to the reefs. Food was good, activies good and pools were great. Drinks were on point@@anonymousperson8211

The sea is beautiful at the beach. We've always stayed at the Grand Moon Palace. But the beach is not nice. So I will check out the Iberostar.

Steer clear of this Iberostar Star Selection Cacun, I got the The "Swim Up Ocean Front" room, priced at $900, was a total disappointment. At the buffet, the chicken was poorly prepared with the fat untrimmed, the corn was overcooked to the point of being burnt, and the fruits lacked any flavor. Despite placing an order for grilled meat, it never arrived. Room service orders were also ignored and never delivered. The concierge service was inefficient, with staff mistakenly going to the wrong room. Service at the beach cabanas was non-existent; I waited for 15 minutes but no one returned to assist. Repeated calls for room service went unanswered. The absence of a "Do Not Disturb" sign led to unnecessary disturbances, resulting in poor sleep quality."
Maybe it’s because I didn’t stay on the coral side but don’t believe it gonna make that much of a difference.

there are 2 Iberostars in cancun, I went to the one not in this video, and that one was terrible especially the fact that the temperature was in the 80s every night. Surprised how much better this one looks.
There are Iberostars at every level. You have to go to the top end property to get the best of everything.

Quick question: is the Coral-level area/facilities exclusive to those staying in that building? You mentioned "Adults Only" a lot when referring to Coral-level amenities and activities, but it wasn't clear if this meant "Adults-staying-at-Coral Only" or if adults staying in the general area of the hotel had access to those as well.

Went there in Dec 2020, lobby was pretty much closed for remodel, it was chilly (out of their control)… and I caught covid midway thru the trip (not their fault either).. still made the most of it though it was really nice

Iberostar was dope and the food is even better at Iberostar Jamaica. However the Cancun property is more fun and Jamaica is more laid back
