Just picked up a B9 sportback and really appreciate this video. I was more concerned for reliability since my other car (‘17 sentra sr turbo) had a reallllllly aggresive tune and i blew a turbo within ~5,000 miles. Good info bro
@@Darylrb1983 i love it.. you hardly see these on the streets as opposed to the base model. i wish there was more after market support but its definitely been a good car to me
I had IE stage 1 and the exhaust turbine broke off in lest than 5k miles. My A3 is a 16 1.8 with 30k miles on it. Too much torque for that IS12 turbo, in my opinion. Yes, second off 1/4 mile time and boost measured at 22-24psi. Now have a Race Chip GTS and I can feel a difference in power, just not as much as the IE, but I feel more comfortable because I can turn it off and adjust it with the app. Also I get more gas mileage in eco mode. Have that pedal controller that you got also. I got that from Amazon though for 70. Makes a big difference with throttle response. I feel these tunes are made for people that have a lot of money and race their cars on a constant basis. These tunes aren't meant for daily driving. Only gonna remove the life of the parts of the car. This is another reason why I like Race Chip. I can easily turn it off or just turn it down.
I have a 2013 a4 b8.5 and bought the GTS 499 racechip and notice a big difference. However I wish I would have went with a real tune. I currently have the GTS chip, the throttle response, the cat back ecs tuning exhaust, k&n intake.
I have the IE stage 1 tune in my 2014 a4 with an intake and pedal commander. stock hp on my 2014 a4 is 220 hp. now the stock 2021 a4 has 261 so i refuse to add any more mods. i rather get a 2021 or an s4 then dump the money there. would get more for your money that way imo
My racechip gave me an over boost code caused engine stutter and my transmission to slip all the time I pulled it out and my car is back to running smooth so I’m just gonna go get it tuned
Did u have a problem with ur time and chain or any oil problems. I'm thinking about buying a a5 2.0 but I keep seeing negative videos about the time and chain.
So I'm in kind of a dilemma. For tuning and upgraded parts for the 2014 Audi B8.5 A4/A5, Can you install the Cold Air intake, upgraded intercooler, and Upgraded downpipes BEFORE you get the tune? OR, should you get the tune before installing all of these parts first? To sum it up, which comes first, stage 1 tune or fully Bolt on parts? Thanks for the clarification in advance.
What is the EA888?? I need a stage 2 for my 2011 Audi a5 TFSI, I have a cold air intake and a carless downpipe, I need a tune as soon as possible, which one do I get?? I wanna go threw IE
Hey gat, whats the most cost effective way to get the crackle and pops on my audi 2.0t. I did a resonator and muffler delete, straight piped it and its much louder but still no cracks. Thanks for the help buddy. Appreciate you.
Hi @gatzilla I’ve been watching your videos for a while and I’m stuck on wether to go to stage 1 with just a cold air intake and upgraded downpipe or stage 2 with just a cold air intake and upgraded downpipe but I’m not sure what else stage 2 would require. So I’m definitely kinda stuck on where to go from where I’m at

Im assuming , correct me if I am wrong. But e85 and water meth will bring your octave to 110. Approx. I see a 100 octave tune . EI the 100 octave stage 2 tune and for the K04. My assumption is that this tune will take advantage of the higher fuel and better temps. Less knk. So I'm thinking if you consider using e85 and it water meth you should tune for the 100 Oct.
I have an A5 45 2021 B9 stock is 261hp. With Integrated Engineering stage 1 how much ho will it give me? If I buy this do I need to take it to a shop for the guys to do it for me? Will this void my warranty?
I dont have launch control like other cars have a set up like that. I usually just hold the brake and rev up the engine to 3k and then release the brake
I have a 2016 Audi A5 B8 Flex Fuel, I don’t want to add any major mods. Just added a cold air intake and now looking to tune to feel some horse power. My question is, do i need any mods for a stage 1 IE tune or am i able to run stage 1 stock?
I need help. I’m torn between an A5 and a 3.8 genesis coupe and from stock the 3.8 seems to run a lot more horsepower than the Audi but the way your Audi sounds and looks....idk
After further review I think I’m going to get the Audi instead because the genesis can’t handle boost without rebuilding the whole motor judging by what owners said they had to do just for the genny to reach 400
@@ManOfNox The A5 is the better car assuming you're going quattro. Weighs significantly less and you're getting more of the power to the ground. My B9 Sportback is pushing 310+ HP /350 ft/lb tq with just an ECU tune. Also have the DSG tune for crisper shifts. I surprise people all the time because I'm in the mid 4s from the line with the 'little' 2l/4cyl. Way better interior, tech, ride quality, and in my opinion looks better overall. The genesis does sound better though with the NA V6, but you can get the A5 to sound pretty good with an intake, catback, etc. My buddy has the 3.8 Genesis and it's underwhelming by comparison.
@@Tyler-js5wz thank you for this response, I ended up getting a 2020 Audi A5 premium plus coupe, best decision I’ve made. Another question, before I tune my car I should probably upgrade some parts because ik there’s different stages I just don’t know when to go past 1
@@ManOfNox Congrats! So basically on turbo cars Stage 1 doesn't require any hardware changes. Stage 1 ECU tune is just a software change which changes boost parameters at certain rpms, ignition timing, etc. Some vendors like APR require you to go to one of their locations, but some you can do from home like with Unitronic (I have their Stage 1+ ECU tune since I have easy access to 93 octane and their stage 2 DSG tune -- you can use stage 2 DSG without bolt ons. Stage 2 ECU tune is more hardcore and you'll need an upgraded downpipe, intercooler to reduce heatsoak, and intake. Personally I'd start at Stage 1, gradually upgrade components, and then you can always make the ransition whenever. The Stage 1+, upgraded tires, and a cold air intake for the whoosh sounds has been more than enough for me for now.
@@Tyler-js5wz gotcha, but unfortunately because my car is brand new, there’s a warranty on the engine and if tuned my car, they’ll void it, even if I reset the ECU to factory, they’ll still be able to see when it was flashed apparently which sucks.
lmfao comparing a bhp is not base horse power, brake horse power clown. Comparing a chip to a stage 2 tune. Compare it to a stage 1 and you won't be blabbering a lot because it'll be the same. Not noticeable. GTS would be compared to a stage 2 or 2+.
You just helped me choose what tune to use with your explanation and experience 👌🏽
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the video! I have been thinking about getting one for my S5, and you really walked through the perks of it!

Having performance mods before a tune wont do any harm , if you do down pipes tho you will definitely need a tune after
I wonder if adding the intake manifold from integrated engineering. With the stage 2 tune would it touch 300 whp.
From what ive seen its a pretty good power mod
I plan on getting one when I get a K04

How bout combinations like unitronic and race chip
