Are there supposed to be bubbles even when the ozone is off? I’m assuming yes since there is suction whenever water is flowing. I am experiencing bubbles whether the ozone is on or off.

have you seen an issue with using Sirona Sanitizer with Ozone? When I added sanitizer to mine I got a brownish layer on the secondary circulation pump and in the mesh filter. Wondering how you solved that or if you just used only one or the other

Just a heads up - the bromine and chlorine-free Sirona Simply Sanitizer is not designed to be used with ozone as it reacts and creates a greenish brown sludge on the water line/floating thermometer. I only know this because after running them in combo for 9 mos in multiple setups, I finally called Sirona and got the answer. The alternative is ozone-only or a much smaller amount of chlorine or bromine. Appreciate all your content.

@recovatech Have you seen similar with Sirona? I just bought a bottle and about to install my ozone as well.

Do you recommend ising a micron filter in addition to the ozone generator?

For sure. The minimum for me is using at least a sediment filter before the pump to catch all the hair, grass, dirt, etc.

I read that you should use a Venturi with a bypass. The chiller will work too hard pushing the water directly through the venturi.

In this case, it would be the external pump that's doing all the work and as far as I could tell, it didn't add very much extra strain. No additional noise from the pump, no extra heat, and the flow remained about the same. Typically the bypass is there when used in conjunction with a whole house filter. The filters in those are extremely restrictive and I could 100% see why you would want the bypass. For the most part, I always use sediment filters because they aren't as restrictive.

Thank you for the video! Is there a benefit to adding the ozone injector to the line into the chiller vs out of the chiller?

I think you could do it either way. I did it before because it keeps everything elevated and to me made the most sense since that hose from the pump will never get moved if you disconnect from the cold plunge.
