I do enjoy you going back to your roots; I was the kid you met at the Fringe with the Biscuit Barrel while your colleagues still didn't believe you had a Pikmin channel, so it is cool to see you coming back to Nintendo occasionally after you have grown as a films channel.
Here’s another thing to note: Mario’s model looks like a modern version of his Super Mario 64 model (you can see the similarities in the eyes at 3:53), and since every character looks somewhat retro and/or similar to the N64 era of Nintendo, I wonder if we’ll be getting a remake of Super Mario 64 later down the line?
Gotta wonder if Nintendo wants to have some more corporate synergy between their games and the movies. Though, I wish SEGA would make a new Sonic game using the movie designs

The US especially has a habit of dunking on Sonic when they can. People call Sonic racers with transforming cars a Mario Kart 7/8 rip off when Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing Transformed did it before either. (It was also labelled a Mario Kart clone back then, similar to the "GTA clone" effect that basically killed the sandbox RPG genre.) People just want to sound cool so they'll regurgitate the spiel of the masses instead of forming their own opinion out of fear of being shunned, pay no mind to them; those same people hated Mario Kart Double Dash until the media said it was cool years later too.

On their website, Pikmin 4 is in the background for the backwards compatibility section. Pikmin 4 the Switch 2 is real. Maybe Pikmin 3 can finally be at 1080p.
i personally am really unsure about the new way the joy-cons connect. the rails of the my OLED switch are already quite flimsy and these plugs look even less stable. but maybe there's a proper locking mechanism in there, probably using that big button under the shoulder buttons.

This console looks cool compared to the og Switch (i use a Switch Lite myself but still) and the new Mario Kart looks sweet and i wouldnt be against a longer race track myself, my favorite tracks are the long ones that are broke into 3 sections rather than just 3 laps on the same loop, or the ones that alter the track path every lap like Kalimari Desert in MK8Deluxe, but having a track like the 3DS version of Rainbow Road but doing that whole track for 3 laps yes please
The donkey kong and princess peach design is from the mario movie. I hope the normal designs will be in the game though, i’m not a huge fan of the movie designs

the Switch 1 and probably the Switch 2 is handheld first and home console second, if you don't count the virtual boy then even their worse selling handheld the 3DS sold around 76 million consoles, even if the Switch 2 doesn't sell as well as the original Switch there is nothing to worry about
I literally just bought my first Switch Lite like four days ago and started playing BOTW for the first time. 😭😭 It’s such a fun game and the lite is small and comfy for me personally. The only other games I play are the GBA Donkey Kong Country games and Skyrim. Mario games were too difficult for me with the weird laggy jump physics?? I’ve always wanted to play the Mario cart games, but I don’t have anyone to play with. 😢 It’s no fun with just the Ai. Anyway idk, I’m just rambling for the algorithm 😂

With a potentially massive roster (24 characters per race), I can see it being the commonly theorised Mario Kart Cross/X with a lot of cross over characters (while still being MK, not Nintendo Kart).
@PolitiClank there won't be any crossover characters, there will on be characters from side games, rpgs or spinoff games and it will have 20 in the title, not x

I think Nintendo was planning a bigger reveal at a later date, but this leak forces them to act early.
