the reason you’re not allowed to record any POV without permission is in case the camera were to fall off the ride, and Injure someone below, the park would be responsible. So when there is “third-party” POV recording, the person recording has to sign a waiver saying if anyone was injured by their property is at fault of them and not the park. It’s simple safety that keeps people safe.

Shut up.. ive filmed all kinds of roller coasters. Ive even made sure to record the part where the cameras take pictures of you so itd be a picture of me filming it and i even bought the picture from the people after.. the only things they wont let you do is show the cameras your boobies, male or female, unless your on a water ride.. besides have you ever looked at the fenced off spots with all the broke ass cell phones and cameras that people dropped and cant get them because theyre in the off limits areas..

I live in the town right next to Sandusky. Ceder point is literally a 15 min drive. Last month I believe right? A piece of the dragster came flying off and hit her in the head. Really bad disaster. Don't remember hearing what ever happened to her. Then one other lady had a mallard fly into her face on the millennium force a decade or so back.

I'm actually a ride operator for Millennium Force! Gopros are tricky, especially when people take them out at the last second. The policy for loose articles depends on the article, the specific ride, and the park, but Cedar Point is VERY strict about loose articles and specifically anything that can record video such as gopros or phones. And while it is 100% natural to feel scared on a roller coaster, just keep in mind that they are one of the safest things you can do in your free time and stopping on top of the lift is a normal and safe part of roller coaster operation. These are called lift stops and can either be done on purpose by a ride operator like in this case, or done automatically by the ride's computer system as a safety precaution.
The best part is: The actual lift hill is MORE DRAMATIC (as to the angle) than what he's drawn! "Millennium Force" is an AWESOME coaster, and yes feeling scared on a coaster (or any other "thrill ride") is natural - Heck, THAT'S THE POINT of riding them! I am acrophobic at rest at a decent height, No Ferris Wheels for me, LOL. Any acrophobic feelings I have are wiped away by SPEED on a coaster. (So, yeah if I was stopped - That WOULD bother me. A Lot!) But heck yeah. Riding "thrill rides" at legit amusement parks is FAR safer than driving your CAR to the grocery store. I am almost 60 years old and NOTHING will keep me from riding coasters. I will ride them until I physically can't! Hopefully that will be 40 years from now. 👍😊👍

Millennium Force was a great ride. I went there the year they opened the top thrill dragster. That thing only actually got over the hill like once every fifteen tries.

They do confiscate cell phones. It is actually a state law in Ohio. You can not take out your phones or film on the rides.
I spent a weekend out there this summer. Assholes kept taking out their phones and stopping the rides. If a phone nailed a person in the head at those heights and at those speeds it would probably kill them.
Millennium Force Rules! You owe to yourself to ride it in your lifetime.

I went to Cedar Point loads of times as a kid. My fav ride, ironically, was the Millennium Force. I also really liked the Demon Drop before it was removed and I really wanted to try the Dragster when it was first built, but never did. Now I'm 30 and hate roller coasters. I'll just settle for a relaxing trip to Mackinac Island now. lol

Cedar point is fucking awesome! One time I was in line for the Top Thrill Dragster and it didn’t make it over the hill. There was a “rollback” and it took forever before they could launch it again

If you like roller coasters you should go to Carrowinds in the Carolinas, it has my favorite coaster the “Fury 325”, it goes 325 feet up and then is a straight drop down, the whole place is a blast though
I have a picture of me and my dad on this ride. What a great coaster. It was the tallest fastest coaster for a while
I don't think I've been to Cedar Point since like 1992 or 93 but the big ride there at that time was "The Magnum" and that thing would get stuck multiple times a day. A friend and I got stock at the top of the first hill. Fun times. I think most of what I remember are now gone- Iron Dragon, Demon Drop, Mean Streak.

I loooooved cedar point, fantastic place. The millennium force was absolutely terrifying as were all the rollercoasters. I'm also completely petrified by heights and I swear I almost had a heart attack many times. Also while going on the millennium force me and my cousin sang the star spangled banner all the way up and everyone started to laugh and joined in. On the way down no one could scream, we all just sat there with our mouths open.
