- Vidheyan (English: The Servile) is a 1994 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed and written by Adoor Gopalakrishnan. It is a cinematic adaptation of the novella Bhaskara Pattelarum Ente Jeevithavum by Malayalam writer Paul Zacharia. The film explores the master-slave relationship in a South Karnataka setting. Mammootty and M. R. Gopakumar plays the lead roles.
The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam and Best Actor Award for Mammootty. It also won numerous awards at the Kerala State Film Awards, including the Best Film.

The lady at 52:52 is my grandmother Smt. Rohini jagaram. She also dubbed for tanvi azmi in malyalam, its not our language, we are tuluvas. The story goes like this, she was originally supposed to dub for a much smaller role but the legendary director adoor gopalakrishnan liked her voice acting so much, he made her dub for the main lady. So proud of my grandmother ❤❤

ഭാസ്കര പട്ടേലർ.. മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ ഇത് വരെയുള്ള ചരിത്രം ചികഞ്ഞെടുത്താലും ഇതിനേക്കാൾ ആഴവും ഒഴുക്കുമുള്ള മറ്റൊരു സിനിമാ കഥാപാത്രത്തെ കണ്ടു പിടിക്കുക എന്നത് പ്രയാസകരമാണ്.. അത്രത്തോളം മികവുറ്റതാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട് ആ കഥാപാത്രത്തെ.. സിനിമയിൽ ഉടനീളം ഒരിക്കൽ പോലും മമ്മൂട്ടിയെന്ന നടനെ എവിടെയും കാണാൻ സാധിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.. അത്രയ്ക്ക് പൂർണ്ണതയോടെയാണ് മമ്മൂട്ടി ഭാസ്കര പട്ടേലരെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്..ഭാവത്തിലും ഭാഷയിലും നടപ്പിലും ഇരുപ്പിലും തുപ്പിലും വരെ പൂർണമായും മമ്മൂട്ടി ഭാസ്കര പട്ടേലരായി മാറി അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തുകയായിരുന്നു.. തികച്ചും ഒരു പരകായ പ്രവേശം..!!
