Everything is pretty much colored blue in today's video. Anyone else need to learn hand lettering? Recommendations for good videos/classes would be welcome:)
I don't know what kinds of classes there are. I follow some people on instagram that are specifically about hand lettering. They might be able to recommend some demos.
I follow lettering artists on instagram but besides that I don't really know about classes because I taught myself how to letter?? But I definitely recommend abbey sy, she's one of the most known lettering artists here in the Philippines and I have one of her books the ABCs of hand lettering
I REALLY liked this video. Also got here early 😀 And don’t worry about the hand-lettering thing. I thought it was super cool how you pointed it out and said you were gonna work on it, whereas other people would just skip it out altogether if they didn’t like it. It looked pretty cool, too, the way you joined the letters together. The butterflies looked beautiful. Once again, another really helpful and interesting video. I loved it 😀❤️

So cute nd beautiful 😍👍 by d way i m ur new subscriber nd i have almost watched all your videos in just a few days nd i think that your art is so beautiful and inspiring 😊
You can use whatever you want. The thicker the paper the better in my experience but you can use whatever works for you. A layer of gesso on the age can help the paper to stand up to paint, glue etc.
I think the only advice I can give is to keep going and keep practising. I know this is not very helpful and I remember being so frustrated with everything I drew that it made me cry but I kept going. The more I drew the better I became (not that I think I'm great by any means now but I do like what I draw and am no longer frustrated so that counts for something). You could try looking at each piece after you draw it and coming up with one thing to like and one thing to improve on. If you focus on improving one small thing at a time, you can move forward without it becoming overwhelmed and finding something you like helps you not to be discouraged. For example I might look at a piece I've just drawn and think "the eyes need work but I like how I've draw the nose". So on the next drawing I practice eyes and fill an entire page until I find a style that I like. Then I move on to the next thing. Style does change and evolve over time but It's useful to practice like this. Taking your time is usually a good thing, I find my drawings are much better when I spend a longer amount time on them:) Hope this is somewhat helpful.
thanks windy iris Art. that was so helpful and im going to try that when my cast comes off my hand as i broke it thank you so much. this is my first comment from the youtuber thank you again.
S.J's Universe hii i really dont know about markers but i guess she is using dylusions journal. I dont really have any art journal but people say that the derwent art journal is good too
The journal is a dylusions journal (as Ananda said) and that's very good for all the inks and paints I use in it. However for markers, it depends whether you have ones like copic or water based ones. Water based markers work best on a thick mixed media or watercolor paper. Copic markers work well in the Leuchtturm 1917 sketchbooks - there are others as well but I use the Leuchtturm sketchbooks for my marker work.
I'm actually considering doing this take 5 challenge, I might not be able to do much for the collage part, but the rest seems pretty doable for me! I've always wanted to participate in one of these challenges, but unfortunately I don't always have a lot of the supplies to make a page that fits the challenge for the month, but also is a fun, creative page that I would be proud of :)
Hope you give the challenge a go Katy - if you post on Instagram please tag me so I can see what you come up with☺ I understand about the supplies problem, I've actually been thinking about creating my own monthly sketchbook challenge - with a set of prompts not based on any particular supplies. Just something I'm thinking about currently ☺
I don’t have a lot of supplies so for some inspiration could u do a challenge where u only use maybe 3 supplies luv ur videos and u made a beautiful page 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hey windy sorry for commenting after a long time as usual i love this video too. And one thing i want to learn from u is how u draw the below body parts like hands ,legs and waist cause it is hard me to make that thing even if i'm able to make face i always get stucked on drawing necks, hands and blah...😊😊😊😊 so plz help me. And again .... I love it . U R one of my most favourite
I try to reply to as many comments as possible and I never ignore anyone. I am usually busy with work so I can't always get the time to sit and individually reply to everyone. Hope you understand this and thank you for watching my videos. I'm glad you enjoy them.

Windy Iris Art oh and there might be some classes on Skillshare. I think that's the most popular place for classes.
Windy Iris Art u r the best

Baylee Jae has a video on her channel called "I tried HAND LETTERING" and I think she mentions some good skillshare classes for hand lettering ^^
I love seeing journal pages crinkle because of the wet mediums and you can see all the fresh and untouched pages too. It's so nice looking.
It's fun to see the layers build up and to just chuck all sorts of supplies onto the pages. I never quite know whats going to happen:)
It's gorgeous. Blue is my favorite color so it appeals to me on a whole different level.
Thank you - blue is a lovely colour to work with:)
I always love to see how you use your copics 😍 and you did great with the quote!! Yay for getting out of the comfortzone 💪i love your page Windy 😍

Can I use maybe a Canson mixed-media sketchbook to create a journal page?

Happy Summer Holidays
You too:)
Every time I draw or sketch it is really bad and it takes a lot of time but I don't know how to change it. Advice?
