Spot on video. Couldn't agree more with everything he said. Even with a brand new battery the rangefinder tells you that its dead. I also had a reliable Nikon prior to the GX-5i3 as well which was a quarter of the price. I wish I had seen this video before sending it in to Leupold. Now I'm stuck without one for 4-6 weeks!

Their customer service is very good, why didn't you ask for a replacement unit? They stand behind their product 100%. I had the gx-4i2.
I called in three times on it, and all I ever got was the foil answer. Never, ever offered to fix it for me
I just performed that task, and it didn't fix mine. Does anyone else have other remedies?
I just unscrew the battery cap and screw it back on. This has worked for me a number of times.
