- Outback Queensland Winton | Dinosaur Stampede & Opal Miners | Family Road Trip Travel Australia EP57
This week we continue our dinosaur discovery with a visit to the world’s only Dinosaur Stampede at Lark Quarry. 🦖🦕 Home to over 3000 fossilised footprints of Australian dinosaurs, the Stampede was first discovered in the 1960’s and is a fascinating display of life over 95 million years ago!
With its incredibly epic landscapes and sweeping views across wild and rugged plains, Winton has no shortage of vantage spots to take in the spectacular Outback sunsets, and exploring the unique environment of the Rangelands was a perfect way to lose ourselves for an afternoon.
Plus Paul gets the opportunity to have a yarn to some of the true Aussie characters that make Winton such a vibrant Outback town including an Opal miner and the founder of The Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival.
We hope you and your family are safe and well, take care, and stay happy, healthy and hopeful!

We are an ordinary Australian family, creating extraordinary experiences. We've taken a leap of faith, packed up our lives, said goodbye to the 9-5 grind and hello to 24/7 - life as a traveling family!
Being complete caravanning newbies, we are hoping the experiences we share through our Family Travel Australia series will not only have an educational element, but will inspire you to take your own leap of faith, get outdoors and make memories that will last.
We live by the mantra "You don't need to see the whole staircase, just take the first step!"
Keep up the good work with your episodes 🇳🇿👍👍
Cheers Steve and thanks again for your support 😊👍
Wow. There is so much more to Winton then I thought. You did a great job to showcase it.
Cheers Adventure Pals 😊 hope you guys are going great 👍
The Feel Good Family thanks. We are doing well.
I totally agree fantastic thank you for sharing this with us 😃👍❤
Wow, what a great video, I am now a huge fan! Thanks for showing so many things that you can do and see in the Winton area!
Cheers Graham! Have you been to outback Qld before? We just loved it 👍
@@TheFeelGoodFamily I was very fortunate to live in Mount Isa in the early 70's (1971 -1974). I now live in England and am desparatly hoping I can return in 2023 with my wife, for their Centenary. We hope to include as much of outback Queensland as we can, especially the Winton area. 😊🤞
Wow! That will be an awesome trip 🤞👍 we will hopefully get to Karumba and then down through Mt Isa when we get around the top end and again hopefully to WINton! They are opening a new ‘dark sky’ observatory this year and an Australian Natural History Museum that will be amazing to see as well 😊
@@TheFeelGoodFamily ... I am so jealous, it must be wonderful to get to see so much of Australia. I am curious, do you write about your travels as well as present your video channel? I am currently writing a book about my family's and my experiences and adventures, when we arrived in Australia, as £10 Poms, back in the late 60's.. Amazing times 😊 Keep up the great work you are doing! 😊👌
Wow that sounds like an awesome project!! We do write for a couple of mags and blogs - all the content is on our website too 😊
You present such interesting videos! Truely worth watching. Thanks
Thank you Chris! We really appreciate your support 😊👍
😎 wonderful show, mesmerizing Australian story, thankyou Folks for your inspiration.....
Cheers Peter! We really appreciate your comments 😊👍
Winton is on our list of places to see. Looks great. See you next week.
You’ll love it! Plan for at least 3-4 days so you aren’t rushed if you can 😊👍
The Feel Good Family will take note of that. Thanks.
As always well done , now on our list , remember tell us where you stay please .... morning Jasper and Katie
Another brilliant episode guys. Winton is our favourite Outback town, we just keep coming back to.
Thank you Steve! We think it’ll be a place we revisit many times 👍
Your feel good family is 👌🏼🇦🇺💪🏼👍🏽🍻
Thank you Greg 😊👍
Awesome video, happy to see you went and visit Joseph The Opal Miner. The Information centre didn't told us about Rangelands, it is a shame we didn't go because looks beautiful the rocks formation. Cheers
Hey Gaston! Hope you guys are great!! Yes, Rangelands is a private property that can be accessed through Red Dirt Tours (Vikki) - so add that to your next visit www.reddirttours.com.au
What an amazing area. I would never have imagined it was like that, thanks for the efforts and sharing, much appreciated, stay safe, cheers.
Cheers BigKev! You’ll love it and be blown away by how much there is to see and do out here 😊👍
Great video. Do you have any recommendations for a tent camping site in Winton?
What is the indigenous music playing near the start of the video?
Hi Noeline, the music is our Feel Good Family ‘theme song’ that was produced by Mark Watson. We use it at the start and end of every episode and also in our weekly podcast as well. Cheers Paul
@@TheFeelGoodFamily hi Paul... I meant the indigenous music playing very early on in this video. I looked through the info on you description but didn't see any actual music listed.
Great content! Keep up the good work. If you have a second you could take a look at my account 😊🤙
Thank you! Will check out your channel 😊👍
