Charles Bronson has created a most memorable character no one can ignore. A victim of gun violence becomes a deadly predator writing his own justice with every blast from his gun. No remorse for the dead, only the knowledge another one has bit the dust. He gets no satisfaction and no joy from the killings. Nothing personal, it's just another killing justified by his own laws. Others are not offended by his actions unless they are on the wrong side of his vision of right and wrong. No one played the anti-hero better than Bronson.
He was a victim of "gun violence"? I thought he became a vigilante because his wife was beaten to death and his daughter was raped. I guess I missed the part in the 1st movie where all this happened because he was a "victim of gun violence". I guess I'll go watch it again and see if I missed it.
@@M2fiftycal Vengence and hate are not the only reasons for gun violence. Kersey certainly had enough of his reasons to be the next victim.
The first Death Wish was actually pretty good. The ones that came after were fun to watch but were not well made films. I guess they didn’t have to
His first wife wasn't victim of gun violence, she was assaulted and kicked, later his future wife was shot and his friend was stabbed in another movie, I guess, and in death wish 2 his daughter jumps off a building , she already was traumatzed by a rape and killed herself after another rape.
@@alves6465 Actually, Robin (Carol Kersey) jumped out of the window to escape. She was only on the second floor and would have been fine, had she not landed on that fence. Her character was complacent; not suicidal. I liked the way that Robin Sherwood portrayed the character much better than Kathleen Tolan did in the original. Very sweet and innocent.
