Dawn, that’s so very very stinkingly cute!!!!!!!! I know two little ladies, who would really appreciate something so stunning and beautiful and gorgeous. Thank you so much Dawn, you make my heart ❣ smile xxx Mags
Need to make a birthday card for one of my sons, this has given me some fun ideas and my oldest son who I live with surprised me with some file folders last night when he got hom from work. I found them in front of my bedroom door when I got up this morning ❤️ ( I had mentioned I wanted to go buy some on his day off, guess he thinks about what I say more than I realize lol)
It's looking so beautiful already Dawn, looking forward to (part 3) to see how you'll embellish it. You're right it is a great scrap buster. tfs...Hugs....Mary
Just love this journal. Off to my crop this afternoon. Can’t wait to make these. Christmas, Halloween and vintage. The sky is the limit. Thank you so much for sharing this.
This is absoutely stunning. My honest to god favorite parts though are when you just toss chuck and flick stuff around🤣🤘 free spirit🥰 Needed those giggles so thank you!
These are so versatile. I am going on a retreat in December and I think it would be a great time to make some for Christmas and birthdays! Love this idea! Off to part 3.....cyndi m.
Love this project. I have the same issue with my 2 in punch. I even exchanged it and it is a little better. My mom gave me he punches and wouldn’t you know hers does the same.
Later I punched cardstock with it and it punched right through it. It doesn't seem to like punching thinner paper anymore. So I took my thin paper and held a piece of cardstock behind it and it punched a lot better. It is frustrating though
Yeah, I realized that later when I was punching thru cardstock with no problem. Tried holding some cardstock with my paper when punching and worked great! Wish I'd discovered that little trick a long time ago. Couldn't saved me some frustrations and a few 'not-so-nice' words. Lol. 😁
This is so good I also have some digital scrap items Ive bought but not sure what weight paper to print them on And do I use the laser or the inkjet I do hope you can help me Thank you guys
Because you are gluing the papers onto a file folder which is already pretty sturdy, it really doesn't matter if you print on lighter-weight paper. Either is just fine. And to whether you should print on a laser or inkjet is totally up to you and whatever printer you already have. It won't matter which kind of printer you print with because you are not getting the papers wet. If you were submerging the papers into water or a tea dye, then you would want to use a laser printer so your ink would not run.
TheBookVandalShop thank you I'm feeling more able to attempt these journals now Once I get the basics it's full steam ahead I will be begining with this cute project Thank you again
Hi. I am new to your channel and this type of paper craft. I have watched quite a number of your tutorials and you sew a lot. Is a machine absolutely necessary? Ty
OH MY GOD..I KEEP....WATCHING..AND THE MORE I WATCH THE MORE I LOVE IT....💕💕💕💕💕💕💕👌👌👌👌..YOU R..AMAZING ..👌👌👌👌👌... WHERE DID YOU BUY THAT PINK RIBBON..IT'S REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL...💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕👌👌👌👌👌👌
@@JudyPsInMyMindsEyeMixedMedia yes that's a great idea!! I was trying to think of something to make for my crafty friends for Christmas & I think I may have found it!! Lol
It was a hobby lobby cheapie. No big deal. Replaced it. Was able to sharpen one of them though by punching through sand paper. Tried the aluminum foil suggestion but that didn't help. Sandpaper helped for one of them.
when punches continue to fail.. time for a new one! do fiddle with it and be totally frustrated.. out of sight out of mind. write a note as to what you want then get it.
Excellent tutorials. I love how you ink the edges and use a slightly smaller paper on top. So vintage! Thank you 😊.
Thanks so much! 😊

I had trouble with my corner punch. Fiskars told me to punch folio with it several times. It sharpened the punch and helped.

I'm really enjoying this project! Just started watching you. I enjoy having smaller projects and I've saved several of yours to my pinterest board.💗💗
Such a great idea! Going to make mine this weekend
I think is fantastic.
Love your tutorials 😍
Thank you! 💜 Xx
Have you tried punching through wax paper? It doesn't sharpen the punch, but it does lubricate it a bit. I love this little booklet!
Someone told me that recently. That's about the only thing I haven't tried. I will try that soon. Thanks
Great job love it
Thank you! Cheers!
Very cool 😎👌👍
I love this😍 Can’t wait for part 3
love love love it!!!!
SO cute
I've done the first part I've been waiting for this one ☺
I love this, I am ready for part 2. Did part 1 last night! I am going to make Christmas ones and put a gift card in it as well as tags and paper.

Now that you say that about the thin paper I think that’s my issue also.
Love this project. Sometimes when you double up on thinner paper the punches will work better.

Dawn...new subbie here....my 2" punch is the same way! Heading to Hobby this week. (Time for less frustration) Those booklets are adorable. TFS🤗

It is just a standard sized file folder
Hi. I am new to your channel and this type of paper craft. I have watched quite a number of your tutorials and you sew a lot. Is a machine absolutely necessary? Ty
No, you don't need a machine. I just like the look a lot. But most everything I do with a machine can be accomplished with the right glue. 😊
Try using wax paper, it helps cut smoother. Maybe it will help.
Awesome! Thanks! I'll have to try that!
bonjour votre travail est magnifique, pourrais-je avoir les références des papiers intérieur du folio ? MERCI

My big circle punch will cut a full circle but refuses to do half a circle.... Drives me nuts 😜
This is such a cute little project!! I might have to make some Christmas ones!!
Put a gift card in them with the tags and use them as a gift card holder also.

some punches are just duds, its so frustrating. i love this poject , its really cute
Depending on who your hole punch is by some companies will give you a free replacement if you contact them.
