a lot of people are asking where to buy one for a good price - try soubien or kimonomachi. they have rakuten stores and their yukata come separate or with an obi and geta sandals, which is all you need to wear them except a couple koshi himo (what you tie it up with)
I got one when I visited, but took me ages since I wanted something that would be unique, this place might have made it much simpler. I managed to find a green one, with an interesting design. It's not quite as nice as these though.
I really liked the origami one and the one with the flowery pattern :) I like yukatas a bit more traditional though, so most patterns didn't really appeal to me. However, it's a really nice idea and I bet lots of people will love these patterns! :D

Anyway, in my opinion, yukata is one of wonderful & amazing Japanese traditional clothing & I hope many foreigners love it.

Are regular Japanese people going to wear something like this, or are they produced mainly for foreign tourists? Because in India all these funky looking clothes that are a mixture between traditional and modern western are mainly for foreigners.
Gaga Slaughter it's a pun made during the 70's - 80's by someone from Bosozoku (groups of youth with customized vehicle and ride/drive without control. Bosozoku became one of the biggest social problems in Japan). These 4 Chinese characters read as "Yoroshiku" which means "greetings", or "nice to meet you" said in a very casual way. We use the word "Yoroshiku" in our everyday life, but I don't know if anyone still uses this writings, it's kinda outdated IMO.
907110Eddizzle the 2nd kanji should be 露 (ロ(Russia), or あらわ(naked,public)). In this context 夜露死苦 phonetically reads as よろしく (yoroshiku)(a japanese greeting), but using the kanji for death(死), and suffering(苦), or together read as inevitable death(死苦). Japanese biker gangs were known for using kanji in very clever ways back then.
There were some beautiful Yukata's there but you get what you pay for, right. Love you Sharla, I hope you forgive my last post to you about cat island and fox village :-)
TomoyaKun100 You can buy a yukata+gata in set for 7500yen on Rakuten Global, but prices can be several times higher. I bought myself one this month. I paid 13000yen (this is with shipping to Europe) + 4600yen for customs charge. So about 18000 yen in total(144US$/133€)
I bought a black yukata with pink and purple flowers and butterflies on it and a matching obi while I was in Kyoto for about $50. It's pretty good quality too!
