I’m not Aussie and I don’t live in Australia, but I been a blues fan since 2016. And seeing them come this far from where they used to be is absolutely beautiful and I’m loving every second of every game we play
this game brought a tear to my eye as a 32 year old life long Carlton supporter. It's been so long since we've played this well and looked this good. Our best side since 1995 premiership team.

Same. just not as long as 2016. This club stays special despite all the scandals, mismanagement and poor performance s over the last 20+ years ( until last season).
Blues are not playing around. That was one of the best performances by a team this year. Tom De Koning highest rated first half and game by any player this year. Mids contest and clearance beasts. Forward line is popping. Cincotta outstanding. The team is stacked. They are seriously dangerous. Even if you’re not a Blues fan, you can’t help but get caught up in what they’re doing. That was a demolition job 🔥🔥🔥 Shoutout to Lachie Cowan on his first goal.
Yeah but geelongs won like one game out of their last 8 and that was against Richmond, they are crap

Cats are still not a bad side, they made it very very difficult for Sydney at the SCG, something no other team has managed to do this season. Blues were just too good.

I've been a Carlton blues supporter all my life we had a rough few year's being beaten every week to see them play the way they are is impressive

Geelong had 22 free kicks to Carlton’s 16.
The goals that we got from free kicks came down to crappy defending. I will admit like one or two of the calls were light but you can’t deny that Geelong got away with some bad calls that led to goals

Idk Sydney have been absolutely awesome this year. But it's all about the finals, and as we have seen last year with GWS and Carlton it can come down too who has the momentum, GWS were one kick away from the GF and the Blues had the lions most of the match in that PF. If the Swans can maintain this form and momentum sure they will be hard to beat, but if the Pies, Blues get on a good run coming into finals I could see them beating Sydney in a QF or PF or GF because knockout stages do weird things to teams, I can name a few teams who should have won, Pies in 2011 for example, Richmond in 2018, Swans vs Cats should have been a good shot too but they collapsed. And then on the same hand you can see teams who went on to win, Pies in 2010, Bombers in 2000. Lions in 02,03 didn't finish top two if my memory is correct but still won the GF both years.

Interestingly, this is the first time this season in back to back rounds that the home team have won all of the weekday footy encounters (albeit it was only 2 matches in total).
I'm not the only one that sees geelong nonstop getting away with holding the ball right? Even with the rule change to it they literally never get pinged for it, more so than any other team.

Carlton is looking sharp as the current outright number two and any symbolism for equality or charity wearing orange, pink, growing a push broom on your upper lip or the classic red nose is fantastic.
You don’t see it in the highlights much but Geelong had the umps on their side the whole night a lot of Carlton’s free kicks were good tackles but Geelong good the better of the calls
Geelong was definitely not on the umps side one of the Geelong players accidentally ran into the person very softly like a tap but it was inside 50
Bull, Geelong jumped on the ball in their 50 in the first quarter, right after Carlton got the exact same thing called on themselves. But the umps weren't going to call a free inside 50 for Carlton until Geelong was way behind.
The "barely touched" call you're talking about was because the Geelong player wasn't going for the ball. There was a game last week where a player got a free in their forward 50 because the defensive player just turned around and took his eyes off the ball to look at his opponent. You have to play the ball.

I don’t think that anyone denies the fact that Geelong has been a much much better side for the last 20 years, they were the opposite of Carlton consistently good, while Carlton was consistently bad.
But no one can deny that the Blues have a decent shot at the GF/flag this year and that they are a far better side than Geelong now, and that is what counts at the moment.

They won an AFL flag in 1995. And the transition from VFL to AFL was a smooth one. It is still the same competition it has been since 1897, they just added more teams.

Any Team in any era with the list Carlton has right now that has been rested twice to this point of the season would be smashing teams by this much. Hence calls for the AFL being unfair to some clubs.

not only did he land awkwardly which caused the fall but he was literally taken high around the shoulder.
Nah, if anything, he's diehard. Curnow regularly gets involved in plays that could seriously injure himself when he doesn't need to. He's easily the best tall in the game, and he could justify not being so scrappy, but he is always willing to get involved without regard for his own safety. He is constantly held by defenses but hardly ever gets a call. Nothing like you said.
