On 8:20, isn't the ball going away from the girl, therefore "hinüber" should be used?

When a sentence has" herin ins" (for example) would it be appropriate to think "in towards me"?

Are there any more words meaning up and down? I need an elaborate explanation on that one.

Im sure Herr Antrim would have some great suggestions, but in the meantime probably the easiest forms would be rauf and runter (or hinauf / hinunter) - used of course with which ever verb you need

it's honestly kind of embarrassing that I needed to watch this video after a year of learning German (I never really got a firm explanation of hin and her until this video, (I was just more going off of a vague sense of the morphemes))

As a Dutch speaker I truly don't get a feel for this in the slightest.
I also don't get the point (likely a related issue). Why would you say:
Komm hinaus if that indicates the speaker isn't in the house? Komm indicates it's towards the speaker right otherwise geh should be used?
In short I don't understand value of the differentiation between the two and I feel like native German speakers agree with me because instead if hinaus or heraus most people just say raus as you told us.
If you have any advice to truly get this that would be very welcome. (Background if relevant: high educated native Dutch/English speaker)

I was wondering that too and thought maybe the idea was "Come with me towards the house." Just a guess.

@jcr3500 could be but why not just use mitkommen then? (Komm bitte mit hinaus)

in 1:18 the hier spelling is wrong

That is the prefix "her" for the verb "herkommen". It is not a typo.
