Let’s just be honest as Labour supporters and concede that we’d have been just as unprepared for a pandemic. Really don’t like this overt politicisation in a time of national crisis. The politicians followed their scientific advice to the letter, and changed tact when they were advised to. We placed *too much* trust in the WHO - they are ultimately responsible. Their job is to scrutinise the information they’re given - not simply to peddle everything their told by China. The UK has had it worse because we have lots of tourists/students from China and many holidayed in Italy/France when their outbreaks were happening - the WHO *should have* advised against all non essential travel in mid January as per Taiwanese intel there was clear evidence of human to human transmission. This outbreak could have been largely contained in Wuhan, but now the whole world is forced to pay for both the Chinese and WHOs mistakes.

Jeremy Corbyn is a wonderful and genuine man. He was defeated by the most vicious campaign by our gutter press, that I have ever known. International corporations, the elite in our country and media barons who hold no allegiance to any country were adamant that Jeremy would never be P.M. and sadly too many people fell for their lies and smears. And I fear they will never see it! A tragedy!!!

Wonder how boris felt about his life being saved by the migrant nurses he was blaming for unemployment.
I loved the bit about communities coming together, I noticed it here - during lock down, when passing strangers in the streets people were smiling and greeting each other in passing, nz is friendly to start with but it was far more pronounced, none looked away or at the ground as if the people they passed didn't exist, maybe one great day it won't take a disaster to instigate this kind of community spirit, shout out to the health services all over the world for being our true champion against the covid pandemic 🙏

Re those who clean our hospitals. He's absolutely right.
I once had a senior medical position in a regional A&E unit, & wondered who was the most important person in the dept. The consultant spent all his time in meetings - never there! Without me, the more experienced junior doctors could manage about 85% of it, without them a good sister & nurses could manage maybe 50%. The most important person of all was Mrs. Brabazon who cleaned for us. Without her, all the wounds would get infected ruining any attempt at treatment, & goodness knows what chest infections etc the others would pick up from the mess.
I'm very concerned for the shop assistants because of their high exposure from proximity to many so people. I put myself in "senior lockdown" about 10 weeks ago & there was nothing then. I hope they have effective PPE now.
