- Former US Ambassador to Denmark Rufus Gifford lambasted President Donald Trump for his decision to cancel a trip to the country after its leader declined to discuss Trump's interest in purchasing Greenland during the visit, saying the move is "not the way you treat an ally."
I think the news of Trump staying away gave us back the number one spot as happiest country in the world

As an Iranian in Denmark, let me share my experience about danish hospitality. I came here with my parents at the age of 2. I've attended school and university for free and graduated without any debt. I've had plenty of danish friends who have regarded me as a Dane. When my father got cancer, he was offered state of the art treatment for free. There is no place on earth where I feel better treated or warmer as a home than Denmark! So when Trump lashes out on Denmark, it really goes to show what an embarrassment he is to the oval office.
