@Ween3 So true bro, even in automatic like mine, it's still fun. They're tiptronic so you can shift them as well. What I noticed though is if you put it in manual mode it'll let you Rev it out the 7200rpm rather then 6500

question looking at picking up a 2007 Mazda 3 for $500 saving it from the junk yard it runs and shifts just had a clutch put in but the owner says it wont run up past 3rd gear. Could that be because of a limp mode. they said it does have a check engine light on so im sure that will tell the story. im betting its a dumb sensor possibly o2? thoughts? i think its a good buy though since it is doing the big things still….
It could be the Tcm they usally go bad in old Mazdas I just had mine replaced. When it was broken it wouldn’t go pass 3erd gear bc it’s technically a safe code.
^^^ agree might be the Tcm mine wouldn’t go passed 3rd gear *it’s automatic* then got new tcm and make sure you relocate it. Original is mounted right above the transmission I think it is and cooks it.

Bro I’m doing my lower front control arms on my 2010 mazda3 and the sway bar bracket that sits on top of the LCA mounting point with a wingnut SUCKS.
Trying to move it with a screwdriver, it’s pushed too far back now 🥴.
First gen is better
It's strange, but I actually think I liked that job more on 2nd gen then 1st haha
