DJ Mix Master Mike, if you notice, DOES NOT HAVE 2 records going only 1. That and the fact that his Scratching is the ENTIRE musical instruments being used....1 Record, is the beat, and holding the entire FLOW.

Released their first hip hop single in 1983, have 6 platinum 1 diamond album. The group was composed of Michael "Mike D" Diamond, Adam "MCA" Yauch and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz. Beastie Boys were formed out of members of experimental hardcore punk band: The Young Aborigines, in 1978, with Michael "Mike D" Diamond as vocalist, Jeremy Shatan on bass guitar, John Berry on guitar, and Kate Schellenbach on drums. When Jeremy Shatan left the band in 1981, Adam "MCA" Yauch replaced him on bass and the band changed their name to Beastie Boys after John Berry came up with the name. John Berry left the group shortly thereafter and was replaced by Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz. They released eight studio albums, four compilation albums, five video albums, seven extended plays, 40 singles and 44 music videos. The Beastie Boys' first DJ was DJ Double R aka Rick Rubin (1984-86), who was the founder of Def Jams Records along with Russell Simmons. The group's second DJ was Dr Dre (1986) better known as the co-host of the popular 1980s-1990s MTV show: Yo! MTV Raps. DJ Hurricane was the group's live performance DJ from 1986-1997. Mix Master Mike was the group's live performance DJ from 1998-2012. After achieving local success with the 1983 comedy Hip-Hop single: "Cooky Puss", Beastie Boys made a full transition to Hip-Hop, and Kate Schellenbach left the group. They toured with Madonna in 1985 and a year later released their debut album: Licensed To Ill (1986), the first rap record to top the Billboard 200 chart. Their second album: Paul's Boutique (1989), composed almost entirely of samples, was a commercial failure, but later received critical acclaim. The albums: Check Your Head (1992) and Ill Communication (1994), found mainstream success, followed by the albums: Hello Nasty (1998), To The 5 Boroughs (2004), The Mix-Up (2007) and Hot Sauce Committee Part Two (2011). Beastie Boys have sold 20 million records in the United States and had seven platinum-selling albums from 1986 to 2004. They are the biggest-selling rap group since Billboard began recording sales in 1991. The group has won three Grammy Awards: Intergalactic- Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group (1999), Hello Nasty- Best Alternative Music Album (1999) and The Mix Up- Best Contemporary Instrumental Album (2008), out of ten total nominations. They have also won four MTV Video Music awards, one MTV Europe Music award and two MTV Japan Music awards. In 2012, they became the third rap group to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In the same year, Adam "MCA" Yauch passed away from cancer and the Beastie Boys disbanded. Michael "Mike D" Diamond said that the band will never again make new music or tour again without their late bandmate. Their last live performance was on June 12th, 2009, at the Bonnaroo Festiva in Manchester, Tennessee. Adam "MCA" Yauch's will forbids the use of Beastie Boys music in advertisements. In June 2014, Beastie Boys won a lawsuit against Monster Energy for using their music in a commercial without permission. They were awarded $1.7 million in damages and $668,000 for legal fees. In October 2018, Michael "Mike D" Diamond and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz released a memoir, Beastie Boys Book, recounting events throughout the group's history. The book was adapted into a documentary in April 2020, titled: Beastie Boys Story, directed by Spike Jonze and premiered on Apple TV+. The book and documentary were also complemented by the compilation album: Beastie Boys Music, released in October 2020. The remaining members, Michael "Mike D" Diamond and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, have released several retrospective works, including a book, a documentary, a career-spanning compilation album, as well as remaining active in many philanthropic interests. Beastie Boys have a website: BeastieBoys dot com with an active fan forum, as well as IG, Twitter and Tik Tok sites. The Beastie Boys no longer tour since the passing of MCA in 2012 but they still perform, although very rarely, at special events. Tibetan Freedom Concert 🏟: In 1994, Adam "MCA" Yauch and activist Erin Potts organized the "Tibetan Freedom Concert" in order to raise awareness of humans rights abuses by the Chinese government on the Tibetan people. Adam "MCA" Yauch became aware of this situation after hiking in Nepal and speaking with Tibetan refugees. The events became annual, and shortly after went international with acts such including: Live, Mike Mills and Michael Stipe of R.E.M., Rage Against The Machine, The Smashing Pumpkins, U2 and more. *****CONTINUE BELOW****
Legacy 🛡: The Beastie Boys are considered very influential in both the Hip-Hop and Rock music scenes, with artists such as Eminem, Rage Against The Machine, Hed PE, Limp Bizkit, Sublime and Blur citing them as an influence. Beastie Boys have had four albums reach the top of the Billboard album charts (Licensed To Ill, Ill Communication, Hello Nasty and To The 5 Boroughs) since 1986. In the November 2004 issue, Rolling Stone named the Beastie Boy's song: "Sabotage", the 475th song on their 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list. In their April 2005 issue, Rolling Stone ranked them number 77 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. In 2022, the New York City Council voted to rename the intersection of Ludlow and Rivington streets in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the location of the Paul’s Boutique album cover, “Beastie Boys Square”. The square was renamed on September 9, 2023, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop. Group Members Who Passed Away 🙏: 1. Adam "MCA" Yauch (August 5, 1964 - May 4, 2012) In July 2009, MCA was diagnosed with a cancerous parotid gland and lymph node. He underwent surgery and radiation therapy, delaying the release of the group's album: Hot Sauce Committee Pt 1, until 2011 (when it was renamed to Hot Sauce Committee Part Two) and canceling the trio's planned tour. MCA was unable to appear in music videos for the album. He became a vegan on the recommendation of his Tibetan doctors. At the time, MCA described the cancer as "very treatable". MCA passed away in New York City, at age 47, on May 4, 2012. His funeral and burial details are private. 2. John Berry (May 31, 1963 - May 19, 2016) Founding Beastie Boys guitarist John Berry passed away at a hospice in Danvers, Massachusetts, on May 19, 2016, at the aged of 52, as a result of frontotemporal dementia, following several years of ill health. He was credited with naming the band Beastie Boys and played guitar on the first EP: Polly Wog Stew, in 1982. The first Beastie Boys show took place at John Berry's loft. One thing I love about Beastie Boys is that they are undeniably funny, but thread the needle of being taken seriously as a hip hop group, not a comedy music gimmick. Not an easy thing to do.
Four white dudes from Brooklyn destroyed every other rap band there was nobody better. They don’t get the respect that they deserve.. oh wait them into the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame that tells you something it would stop and think about it for a second

The inertia of the platter causes the sounds to slow and drop in pitch in an unusual manner. He is also well known for the unusual technique of using a wah-wah pedal, an effect most commonly used by guitarists, with his turntables.

An extra dope on lock reaction 🔒! Mix Master Mike is the DJ. I see 👁👁 that you have reacted to Beastie (pronounced Bee-Stee) Boys before: Body Movin' and You Gotta Fight For Your Right To Party. Three MC's And One DJ was released as a Double A-side single along with the single: Remote Control, from the Beastie Boys 1998 album: Hello Nasty. It was written by Mix Master Mike and DJ Hurricane. It was produced by the Beastie Boys and Mario Caldato Jr. The song reached #3 on the Cash Box 100 and #7 on the Hot 100. The music video was directed by MCA. The video was filmed in the basement of 262 Mott Street in the Little Italy neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. That was also where the Beastie Boys recorded their album: Hello Nasty.
The song sampled 💾: Funky Drummer by James Brown (1970), Nobody Can Do It Like McDonald's Can by McDonald's Corporation (1979), Jockbox by Skinny Boys (1986), Rob Swift Versus Rahzel by Rob Swift (1997),B-Boy Bouillabaisse by Beastie Boys (1989), Let The Music Play by Shannon (1983), King Of Rock by Run-DMC (1985), "Live" Convention "79" Side B by DJ Hollywood, Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel and Kurtis Blow (1979), Freedom by Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five (1980) and Flash It To The Beat by Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five (1982).
Mix Master Mike worked with the Beastie Boys on the albums: Hello Nasty (1998), To The 5 Boroughs (2004), and Hot Sauce Committee Part Two (2011). He also appears on the Beastie Boys single: "Alive", which was released on the 1999 compilation album: "Beastie Boys Anthology: The Sounds of Science". From 1998 to 2012, Mix Master Mike was effectively the Beastie Boys' resident studio and touring DJ, having replaced DJ Hurricane, who was preceded by Doctor Dré (of Yo! MTV Raps) who replaced Rick Rubin known as DJ Double R.
Lyrics 🗒:
Hey yo, Adam, what's up? This is Mix Master Mike, I'm calling from Sacramento, um
Ah, I've been wanting to hook up with you, um, maybe on some tracks
I've got some sick shit right here, if you could-
I hooked my turntable's through a wah-wah pedal
It's called the tweak scratch
'Cause nobody can do it like Mixmaster can, come on!
I've got the D-double-O-D-double-O style
Here we go again because it's been a while
Do me a favor, don't touch that dial
I rock from Manhattan to the Miracle Mile
My name's Mike D and I'm the ladie's choice
I want to get next to you like Rose Royce
Y'all gather round to hear my golden voice
'Cause when it's time to rhyme you know I get noice
Cruising like a fan boat on the glade
He'll tweak ass your ass across the cross fade
So watch your back when he takes the stage
Or he'll send you off on a naked rampage
Three MCs and one DJ
We be getting down with no delay
Mixmaster Mike, whatcha got to say?
Bug out - to - the mic - all the time!
Sweet and sour like a tangerine
Fresh like a box of Krispy Kremes
Kenny Rogers' "Gambler" is my gambling theme
Mixmaster Mike with the scratch routine
Always updated and in the know
You know we break it down going toe to toe
The bass is booming from down below
And Norton is chillin' with Mario
Eyo my name is Adrock, I'm a Scorpio
Don't ask me 'cause I just don't know
I'm known to mop, I'm known to glow
But don't get mad 'cause I got's to go
Three MCs and one DJ
We be getting down with no delay
Mixmaster Mike, whatcha got to say?
Gotta-gotta-gotta get down!
Mix Master, cut faster!
Mix Master, cut, cut, cut faster!
All top secret and classified
I grab a hold of a mic and let the words glide
It's all hypnotic and sanctified
I never want to let a bad day slip by
Now, we be getting stupid in your area
Causing all kinds of hysteria
My beats is sick like malaria
But don't worry I'll take care of ya
Me and Ad an' Adam and the Mario C.
In the studio, it's the place to be
To all the party people who are happy and free
With Mix Master Mike we're making history
Three MC's and one DJ
We be getting down with no delay
Mix Master Mike, what you got to say?
G-d damn that DJ made my day!
You came off with that one, though, oh my goodness!
Beastie Boys Info 📰:
The Beastie Boys are a Hip-Hop group from New York City, formed in 1978.
Tibetan Freedom Concert 🏟:
In 1994, Adam "MCA" Yauch and activist Erin Potts organized the "Tibetan Freedom Concert" in order to raise awareness of humans rights abuses by the Chinese government on the Tibetan people.

Group Members Who Passed Away 🙏:
1. Adam "MCA" Yauch (August 5, 1964 - May 4, 2012)
In July 2009, MCA was diagnosed with a cancerous parotid gland and lymph node.
2. John Berry (May 31, 1963 - May 19, 2016)
Founding Beastie Boys guitarist John Berry passed away at a hospice in Danvers, Massachusetts, on May 19, 2016, at the aged of 52, as a result of frontotemporal dementia, following several years of ill health.
Beastie Boys! ❤
The moral of the story is the Beastie Boys are nothing without Mix Master Mike. Secondly, I could watch a video of you laughing all day! ❤
