Both are doing well, though James's father of course has to follow the regimen and precautions for transplant recipients to avoid spurring organ rejection. Both James and his father are ex-military, Captain and Colonel respectively, and the line "I'm not your son, you're not my father, we're just two grown men saying goodbye' is what they would say to each other when one or the other was deployed overseas.
