According to the CPCB report, 4 million tonnes plastics are generated every year in India and this is the reason soil and water are polluted. To address this, the government mandated the plastic management rule. CPCB had expected 3.7 million tonnes of plastic to be recycled but later it was found that as many as 6 lakh certificates were bogus and it is under investigation. remains unclear how to recycle 3.7 million tonnes plastic recycle.

    Homework:-
IN the third para, it has been said that Government has taken two measures to restrict plastic waste. First measure is that It has consituted an audit team of 800 officials to look into the matter and Second one is that it has introduced a plastic feature to curb plastic waste. That is how Government is trying to imply plastic waste.

Like other economics India is also facing a problem of plastic.
In 2016 an initiative had been taken for resolving this problem, in this initiative all producers, importers had to take the responsibility of recycling the practice. Unfortunately it was not done, now the cpcb has mandated, all producers and importers have to register themselves in the EPR portal. The CPCB report shows out of 3.7 million, 600000 number of registrations in 2022-2023 were invalid. CPCB has taken 2 steps regarding it. 1st is set a commission to audit 800 firms, and 2nd is, comprehensive overhaul for EPR.

Cpcb has taken two vital actions against fraudulent in EPR Platform. 1) to issue an audit to nearly 800 firms who have traded one fourth (2300) of fraud certificates 2) it will overlook on security feature of EPR platform.
CPCB said this is an "teething issue" associate with implementation a large scale electronic system and audit is imp because it helps to avoid the undermining trust in the system......

The CPCB facing a "teething issues" to rehaul the security system of EPR trading platform...which would eradicate the spurious certificates regarding plastic recyclers industries.....
this time CPCB mandated to every companies would surely registered to it and provides an annual and authentic report to it....via EPR online platform.....😊

In a developing country like India waste pollution is a severe problem.First of all we have to understand that a goverment can make only rules and to follow the rules is duty of citizens.
So it is time to realise our duties and take a resolution of plastic free country and earth.

The Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) along with the CPCB- Central Pollution Control Board makes the recycling of plastic mandatory. The certification of recycled plastic in CPCB portal claims about 3.7 million tonnes recycled plastic out of which some are done with fraudulent activity.

Plastic waste is a significant environmental issue in India.CPCB works to control pollution and has given a report in which four million tones of waste are generated. They have made some rules for recycling the waste and to encourage this they have also started giving certificates. But there are few people who commit fraud but to control them cpcb will come with new ideas.

Most of India's waste is not disposed or treated properly and ends up in landfill. Extended Producer Responsibility rule allows recyclers to Collect and Recycle the waste in exchange of validated certificated for each ton. However, a large chunk of the total 3.7 million, is estimated to be either fraudulent or stolen by hackers.

The unparalleled estimates of production and recycling of the plastic waste is pointing towards their unsustainable pile up which is inturn leading to pollution. Plastic waste production and recycling are not meeting hands with each other, which can be inferred from the fact that 4 million tones of plastic waste is produced and only quarter of that is recycled, that too may not be the right estimate.

This passage is all about= plastics waste which generated annually(4 million ton) in 2020-2021 acc. To CPCB report and there's estimate that only a quarter of waste get recycle which is again a huge problem for our environment and rest of the wastes are using to fill/fraught land and got decomposed but this is not sufficient. That's why CPCB launch a portal and enact law to mitigate it, and give certificate which is upload in website of CPCB. This initiative gives companies to recycle all that plastics how much they generated over a year...and companies did this very carefully and upload certificates on website and acc..to those certificates. Near about (3.7) million ton plastics get recycled by this companies. But when CPCB did further investigation then they found out there's 600000 fraudster companies upload fake documents by the help of hackers which they purchase certificates from hackers

Due to rapidly increasing cases of fraud certificates, government has taken action against false certificates generators.
Government established 800 firms to monitor the issues of generating fraud certificates against recyclers. Also take care of security features of EPR trading platform which causes delay in filling return for 2023-24
