He jumped into a band as a drummer who couldn't play drums, so he had to learn along the way while trying to make the band work. He is where he's comfortable. Is he the fastest? No. Is he the most technical? No. But what Chris does have is pocket, and taste. He doesn’t wow you with his chops, he does what every rock solid drummer does, sits in the song, keeps the pocket fat, and the feel perfect.

I am a Guitarist but love drums and to find out Chris was only playing the drums for 10 years when ASHES OF THE WAKE was released makes me really glad i switched to guitar back in 1980! His playing is devastating for a guy that only has 10 years into it on that record!😲😱

I've watched this set individually a few times, but it's the first time I've heard that they've never played Blood of the Scribe live before. It's an absolute beast, and such a shame that they don't.
People that hear this on the radio and just think theirs no rhyme or reason to it but then they see the band play it with their OWN two hands and feet and voice and then the look on their face realizing that this is on a whole other level. This is geniuses at their craft
Art does a pretty decent job, but Chris was the pillar of the band. The guitars and riffs are always top notch but his drumming is what I dig the most when I blast it in my car.

When they got done playing "now you've got something to die for" immediately in my head the beginning of "the faded line" started and I had to pause this and go listen. Same thing would've probably happened at the end of "blood of the scribe" but the video ENDED HALFWAY THRU THE SONG! BOOOOO!
It's my favorite too, but the first I heard was Remorse is for the dead. At first I had a hard time with the vocals but it grew on me and I started listening to the other stuff. Now I listen to them pretty much daily.

Chris Adler is extremely intelligent. You can tell that thoughtfulness translates to his success as a drummer.
His drumming on Protest the Hero’s “Volition” album really let him show off his chops. No idiot can lay licks like that!

I feel that Art Cruz is one of the only viable replacements but I'll always love Chris' feel and dynamic

I didn't intend to lose interest in lamb of God when he left but I did. I guess his drumming is what drew me to the band.
His snare helped them have a more unique sound his replacement is killer but his drums don't sound very good
