- This mod was made by the one who screams, it can be found on RainDB.
It is much harder to control than it looks. You often have to aim while running, and with how sensitive the aiming direction is and most often a fast moving moving target this is of course disastrous.
But I did get a few lucky shots.
When I first saw this mod the mobility aspect of it was what intrigued me most, I imagined being able to grapple using the tusks. Unfortunately whichever one is retracted first seems random, so they are not very reliable for grappling. In time spears started to become seemingly more reliable. This is not to say it wasn't fun fighting kings with their own weapons though!
This could all just be because I am new to using the mod and therefore bad at it etc but for now I feel like the main weakness is just not being able to hit targets unless they are directly above you or to the side, unless you get lucky.

You'd think that something like this would be OP broken, but considering that most enemies don't die in one hit, and the fact that most enemies are also heavier than Slugcat, it's a very tricky thing to utilize without screwing yourself over. Very interesting concept, though.
It would be such an amazing reward for killing a king vulture to get to wield it's harpoon cannon!

10:15 wow, that’s hilarious.
Looks like it makes for an awesome boss battle! Imagine a situation where you must fight two vultures and another king using only rubble and the king’s blaster. On top of that, it takes place in the sky and you must defeat them before the rain comes.
I have decadently been watching your videos lately, but this one really shows how instinctual you are with the game and it's mechanics. Really cool and engaging to watch and imagine what I would do, given a situation. You are good at slugcat, fun to watch play.

After seeing this video, I realize that hunter is 10x easier if he has a gun.
Also, it'd be neat if you could steal the boomerang/gun things from a dead vulture

Not your best editing work, but it is nice seeing someone figure out how to abuse the harpoons. Well, kind of.
I might never get over Hunter getting stretched apart like that at 10:10.
This is pretty much as good as it gets, mate.
Yeah it's a bit different from the stuff I've been doing normally, decided to veer from that in case it was getting tiring, but it seems people do like the other style quite a bit.
damn, the part where the two kings got you at once and were fighting a tug-of-war with your corpse was cool to watch

When you really think about it, this mod is actually really balanced. You get two spears, that of which, you either never lose, or you lose them along with your life.
You can hit any creature freely (I assume the harpoons ignore armor like real king vultures) however at the cost of having to get close to said creature to pick them back up again, basically a death sentence.
If you have good timing, you could parkour. However one slip up and you could die.
What I’m wondering is how do the kings get their bolts in the first place?
Some weird evolutionary trait or is it similar to the masks?
They seem to have the same coloration and texture and such, so I think it is assumable they are made of the same thing, bone interwoven with metal by moon's words. Considering the artificial nature of creatures in the game, they probably were made to have similar features to the ones of now and they just changed over time.
Maybe king vultures are the original vultures and other vultures are their decendants

probably better off as using these like spears and or rebinding some controls because you would mainly want to use this as its infinite spears and a grappling hook
