X5M Competition for daily using are very good actually, fill solid suspension but personally it puts me in a good mood for the whole day. I'm 43 years old and I still feel 30 years old in this car)
very confident car, never experienced the combination of sportiness in daily activities, I like it very much, it is clear that at 2000 km I change the oil in the front and rear differential, Now the system advises changing the oil at 7500 km. The car is cool, but requires maintenance, there was a system error 2 times, but after 20 minutes it disappeared on its own. Very smart car)@@akewl

You are so right about the sound! It`s allready the same with my 2019 330i. With my 330i at the Autobahn you can only use the comfort-setting for the engine to get rid of the fake sound!
At this point, any aftermarket parts needed to enhance the exhaust note of the car should not void the warranty. They’re making it hard to pick a V8 when that B58 can make the same power. Worse getting the new cars make less and less sense too.
Agree on the exhaust notes but on the B58 making the same power 😂😂😂. Bolt on for bolt on or exhaust mod on any S65 will make any B58 in an X5 stay in its lane very quickly. You need to see a rolling run between them, it’s a joke how the V8 walks away.

These engines are making 400, 500 and 600hp with mods. 700, 800 if you really want to splash the cash. The point is with a quiet V8 and pumped in audio the appeal is fading. Especially knowing the potential to void warranty with exhaust modification.

My guy, you seem to complain about many things with this M. You are complaining about an exhaust being loud on a 629 HP, V8, 4.4L, M performance car. It’s not fake at all, if you know anything about cars. When you close the exhaust, you are just doing that, then when you shut the flaps, you say “well then this sounds way better, but it doesn’t outside”. Like WTF? You want to go 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, but want it to sound like a Buick. You better not test the Urus or Cayenne GT then, they may hurt your little ears. Hilarious would only be this review, not the X5M competition, which is a hell of a machine.
This engine seems to struggle past 250kph compared to the pre lci. I think an rsq8 would be faster past 200kmh which definitely wasn’t the case with the pre facelift one.
Test drove one and found that my 2023 GLA45 AMG felt roomier than this X5. How is it possible. I guess the interior design seats and all....strange. Not selling the AMG that is for sure, I bought it new 8 days ago. :), but looking for my Tiguan replacement for my wife.
It’s still an annoying sound but at least it is the “real” sound amplified through the speakers. There are some other cars like the Cupra Formentor that simply pump a made-up sound through the speakers

I was heavily considering getting this suv, what a disappointment that it's a fake exhaust noise in the cabin. Please tell me the US models are legit exhaust noise out of the back and not from the speakers
Once I made a reservation at Sixt for an M5 for a trip from Düsseldorf to Rome. The guy before me messed up the M5 so I had to settle for an X5M. At the time that was absolutely not what I wanted. I was wrong. The X5M is a perfect high speed cruiser. For long trips it beats any other M or 7 in my experience. For daily use however it doesn’t make much sense.
The high seating position is what makes this so enjoyable and easy to drive on the highway! Gets you to your location less tired than a low seating position I feel like.
Dont like the newer X5 beamer look. The older generation of the X5 was waay better i.m.o. I personally would prefer the GLE 63. You just get more of a "car" in the merc in my opinion. Interior Engine and Sound.. And you dont have the Mild-Hybrid-Support and the "fake" Sound. In the merc, you get the 100% V8
These SUV Ms alway felt awkward to me. The sole purpose of their existence is to flex your money. From the performance perspective: these cars are jokes, you never see anyone actually take them to the track. Because if you are a serious or professional race driver, you would just drive the coupe/sedan M car. From the comfort/daily perspective: like you mentioned in the video, it obviously has less comfortable ride and worse fuel economy. Besides, the M Lite version of these SUVs are already pretty good for the road. To me, these M SUVs exist solely for marketing purposes. If I have the same budget, I would go for a much less expensive but comfortable SUV, and use the rest of that budget to get a proper sports car.
It's not ment to be a track car? It's purely for those who are diehard M fans and need the practicality that an SUV offers, while maintaining the fun aspect. It's really not that deep lil bro

That fake engine noise is hilariously stupid, WTF was BMW thinking with that. I'd rather have the car be completely silent, than have that fake engine noise. The worst part about it is that it doesn't even sound like a V8, I have no idea what that sounds like but it's definitely not a V8 sound, it's a shame cause it's 2 biggest competitors the RSQ8 and the GLE63 AMG, their V8s are quiet but they actually sound like V8s, they don't pump fake engine noise into the cabin. What BMW did there was idiotic.
This is to show you why people chose old-gen OG cars. Go buy an Audi RS Q8, a Porsche Cayenne, or a new Ferrari SUV. I don't know how much gup there is.

The stiffness may end up pushing folks to amg gle 63s, as a daily driver. Not as stiff due to the air suspension. And a better sounding engine
