The marital property is used as a shelter home for foster children. My Husband moved out almost 4 years ago December 2018 and has not contribute any monies towards marital property. In the past 4 years I have paid over $100,000 for the mortgages and maintenance on the marital property. Do you think the judge will take in consideration the money I spent to pay and maintain marital property, before making any decisions of me buying my Husband out? I also paid joint marital bills. We've been married for 30 years and our court hearing will be next month December 2022.

What if you buy a house separately, not on the deed, title, loan anything and that spouse seperates? Side not this isnt a community property state and the other spouse has never lived in the house

In divorce, lawyers made each spouse extreme enemies!😂

If your a man with children, you will lose your house to her via a quick claim deed. The judge gives both the house and the children to her. If the house was yours before marriage, you lose it anyway - the court says it's a "gift to the marriage" .
The only way to keep it is not get married. Lawyers will say we can fight that but it's only to get your money.

Somebody is salty. Part of this is if you live in a backwards ass county. Part of the issue is all this is up to only a judge. You want to live in the land of white picket fences and apple pies, well than prepare for backwards ass Jebus mentality that includes "babies need their mamas" and "papa gotta provide". Live in a proper metro area or a progressive court system and you have no worries. You got an old ass white hair judge with matching skin in the bible belt and even your prenup won't mean $hit. Keep living and voting red and find out the hard way in a divorce.

I told my ex she was welcome to stay but I wasn't leaving. I wanted to be with my kids every day, I paid all the bills, I did all the maintenance. She tried to get me out but failed. Ultimately I bought her out of the house. Many guys leave thinking it will help calm things down and then they can return. I tell them it's a one way trip and by leaving they will lose their kids too. Never leave your home just because someone else decides they don't want you there.

lucky she did not have you thrown out with a restraining order. you "threatened her" last night verbally. Shes scared. Cops take you right out the house, 15 min to pack some stuff. Now you go to jail if you return. Cops will tell you it happens all the time. Ask me how I know.

@@Co-SS she would have had a hard time getting away with it since two of my kids were 17 and 19 and they would have backed me up for sure.

@@magsteel9891 lucky man. In mine we had a 11 year old foster kid. just got him like 3 weeks before this. no one to backup anything. Cops said it happens all the time to get guys out of the house. I had 15 min to grab clothes with them following me around my house that only I had made payments on for decades and just put 40K down on the week before. vacate till court date. And I would have to pay child support for a kid that was not mine and I just met. ended up beating it all with no alimony but it cost me over 6 figures.

@@Co-SS That timing is no accident, she needed you to get what she wanted. After that you were disposable. A crazy woman will run those divorce expenses up to the moon. It cost me about 70k in legal and child custody evaluators bills, and that's without even going to trial. It's insanity. Hopefully you have gotten your life on track. I know guys who spiraled badly from the emotional and financial destruction.

I’ll likely be leaving the home due to my soon to be ex already paying mortgage on it.

    Short answer:
    The woman.
Because she'll go to her sister's house, file an OP, the cops will show up, kick out the husband, the wife will file for divorce, the wife will sob in court, and the female judge will grant a two year OP protecting not only the woman but the home as well.
Then, lawyers will cost $100,000 per year for the divorce.
    Men:
There is no reason on earth to get married anymore.
    Get a sex doll.
    Or, get married, go ahead!
    But know this:
100% of marriages are initiated by women
100% of marriages end in divorce
100% of divorces are initiated by women
She doesn't love you, guy. She loves Chad and shopping.
