A very well-deserved first place entry! The vibes and visuals in this film are off the charts! I would never be able to tell this is a THAC film. I appreciate you picking an achievable scope and making sure its 100% polished. A very economic and smart decision for THAC and it paid off. I love the eerie cosmic horror energy and the ethereal electronic music as the story unfolds. You truly have a firm grasp on how to tell a story though film. Be it with LEGO bricks or otherwise, you have filmmaking in your blood. Keep them coming, Mr. Q-Brick!
Yooo, this one's absolutely amazing! :0 Creating such a great piece of art with this much style in this short amount of time is absolutely astonishing! :D
This is genuine art. This may be one of the best brickfilms I have ever seen ever, it’s oozing with personality and style, and the miniature shots are just genius. I am genuinely upset this doesn’t have more attention and you don’t have enough subscribers
I'm blown away by this one. Very very nicely done. The visual noise and CRT filter are unbelievably effective effects. This genuinely feels like a lost film from an old science fiction movie.
Interesting. Existencial themes for a brickfilm is really ambitious and even more considering is for a limited time contest. As always, your work is outstanding. Congratulations man!
That was genuinely incredible. I mean by this point we know we're gonna get something that's gonna blow us all away from you, but this was a great atmosphere and ngl, i was kinda unsettled with the errie vibe of it all. I love this Stanley!
This is so haunting and really well done! That final shot and the automated voice are so chilling. Really interesting and thoughtful use of the theme. Amazing as to be expected!
Wow, great job! I love the otherworldly feel of everything that’s happening here. Great use of BURPs sideways for the planet surface also. My favorite animation was the yellow round tiles shifting around as the computer screen. Good luck in the contest!
This was incredible. LOVE the VHS effect - reminds me of the classic 70s and 80s space films, Darkstar to be specific. The animated control screen had me locked in, such a wonderful way to show that! Great job, man!
The grain and scanlines combined with the minatures was perfect! We always love to see 80's space (I can't wait for THAC to one day have a yellow/black mod element)
BRO THIS IS SO GOOD! Aint no way this masterpiece was made in less than 24 hours. This gives massive 2001: A Space Odyssey vibes which really compliments your current style very well. Fantastic animation, hope you do well in THAC!
I really like the shots at around 54-57 seconds in, as well as the changing faces on the minifigure. Really great entry and a very interesting take on the theme which I really like
Exceptional work here! Love the retro vibe and use of pieces in this (especially the wide shots). Got some 2001 vibes with this film as well. Great job and good luck!!!
I've been absolutely loving your Blacktron related graphics in this and in M.O.B, and the shots of miniatures in this film were awesome. Also was that some light painting with high exposure I saw in some of those shots? Used to an amazing effect if so!
Oh my, I'm in love with everything about this. The VHS aesthetic, the crunchy sound design, that animated computer screen!! Lovely, wonderful, and exciting stuff, Q! What I've come to expect from you, but still- to pull this off in such a short time is seriously impressive. Best of luck! 🖤
You nailed the retro look & feel, and that's not that easy to achieve so that it does not look cheesy. Well done, congrats on finishing it during THAC 2025! 👏👏👏🎉
@@StanleyQBrick hehe, happy coincidence then! Look up the episode names of the series (especially season 1 I think) and you’ll understand! Also if you haven’t watched it… you’re missing out! My fave show of all time.
That is absolutely stellar! I'm in love with the microscale set of the planet's surface. Very simple and quick to piece together for THAC, but really sells the effect. Was there a practical element to the engine effect at 0:46? It almost looks like a light moved around on a long exposure.

What a rad brickfilm! Love me some Blacktron and VHS damage.
Thank you!

Thank you, C LEGO! Much appreciated!
I am in awe. The part where his face changes surrounded by an aura-like effect is just beautiful.
Thanks Orca! :)
Holy cow, mate this was a blast! Watched it three times today, it's better every time! Truly awesome!
Thank you very much!
Actually awesome, my favorite so far!
this better win, the cinematography and creativity of it is just incredible
This has to be the best space brickfilm ever I love the 80s style I am so happy you won
the slow shutter effect is really cool
This is so haunting and really well done! That final shot and the automated voice are so chilling. Really interesting and thoughtful use of the theme. Amazing as to be expected!
Thank you very much, BlueBrick!
This is EASILY my favourite entry, Mr. Q-Brick never fails to deliver. Beautiful homage to 2001 and the VHS filmmaking style. Hope this wins!
Much appreciated man, thank you!
The effects are so cool
This genuinely caused goose bumps for me. The concept and the execution truly go hand in hand here.
My favorite I’ve seen so far, you did great with this
Oh this is pretty amazing, I loved the VHS aesthetic, awesome work, man! I always like your style. Keep up the good work!

One of the best brick films ever. I will be making a playlist of the best ones now as this video has inspired me

I think I'm gonna have to binge through all your videos on my TV, hehe! This really is art and almost transcends the brickfilming medium as a whole.
OMG! just WOW.. once again you're taking brickfilms to a whole new unique style for me, wonderful job buddy ;))
Thank you Riky!
I saw the stanley q-brick logo so I set the video it to full-screen, suffice it to say I'm glad that I did, absolutely iconic work man.
This has got to make top 3, this is probably one of my favourite brickfilms I've ever seen!
Loved the atmosphere you created. Great work!

Haha yeah, a yellow/black mod element would have been perfect
The dot display was such a cool idea
An absolutely phenomenal THAC winning entry! 👏
Congratulations Stanley, I’m definitely going to have to pick your brain on some the techniques here!
Thank you very much!
This film is truly out of this world!

Wow, loved the effect of the silent landscape shots, evoked alien/2001 for me in the perfect way. Your style works so well with sci-fi!
The creativity in this is fucking awesome. So many amazing uses of scale with the Legos I'm dying rn 😭
HOLY MOLY
Fantastic work, especially for 24 hours. The effects and cinematography create a truly cinematic experience. Good luck with the contest!
@@tandemmedia Thank you!
Really great video. I love this retro vibe combined with mystery and unsettling feeling.
Excellent entry. Had a 2001 Space Odyssey feel to it. Best of luck in the contest.

Dude, great job! I'm over here gushing about the sound design. Congratulations on the first price man.
@@samstudios5152 Thank you - and congratulations on placing 3rd! I really liked your entry.
Stellar work, Stanley! Genuinely interesting themes with a typically creative execution and vision.
Thanks, Jag! Much appreciated :)

Yup, the light painting was done with a micro led and an exposure time of ~2 seconds! Thanks for the nice feedback, much appreciated.
There's so much going on here stylistically, it's insane you made this all in 24 hours
This shit BETTER blow tf up
im actually shocked that you did this in a day, its beautiful.
Thank you!
You can tell it's gonna be a banger by the title alone
BRO THERE'S NOW AT U MADE THIS IN 24 HOURS!!! THIS IS SUCH A MASTERPIECE!!! 😮💨🤌
How is it that every one of your brickfilms is so incredibly well made? I'm just in awe very time

OUTSTANDING WORK! Way to represent BLACKTRON!
Ha, funny to see you here! I was just watching a video from you the other day. Thank you!
All hail the great storage head!
This is phenomenal, you are too good
Amazing film! So unique! Happy THAC!
Love the variation of scale in the shots man!
It's like he's Incapable of NOT making peak this is SO good
Wow, the BURPs work remarkably well for the planet surface!
Really cool. Also, I can see a Mr Robot fan here in the title ;)

Chills.
Another beautiful piece of work from you. I'm curious to see how you did the light effects around the engine exhaust / the guy's face.
Thank you BertL!

Thank you JO Co! The engine was done entirely practical with a long exposure and a small hand-held LED light.
I love this great job!
I totally forgot about THAC this year 😢

Pleeeeease do a collaboration with Slugger
I'd love that
