You can go to your recent server tab and type in the IP to your server. You will share this with your friends. You will have to open up the ports in your router. Each router is different on how you do it, so you will need to look up how to do port forwarding on your router.
You should be able to take your configuration and your save folder over to the new server. We actually migrated with ours. I can shoot a video on it tomorrow.

Also you will provide your friends a Public IP, not your internal local address.
