Yo! Very cool how you brought up my memory of the Johnny/Johnny block. It's honestly surprising to me that I still remember this block (although faintly) as I was 5 then and it only aired a month (although I did remember it as a marathon and not a block). Also when I said I remembered the bumpers that was honestly the "No I'm Johnny" one was the only one I remembered. I have an Internet friend named Rider The Niggie who also remembers this block so he might have some information (I believe he also remembers the same bumper I did.)
I remembered vaguely a continuation of the same one where they both playfully argued the "yeah huh, not uh" thing after saying "I'm Johnny" but it drowned out by the announcer saying what's next
I feel like Johnny Bravo sort of became Cartoon Network's unofficial mascot for a while. Anyone else feel the same way? He was used in a lot of promos and bumpers and blocks and whenever I saw him I immediately thought of Cartoon Network.

This is very interesting, and it sparked my memory of yet another Johnny Bravo-themed show called 'Big Bravo Breakfast'. I have an old recording from CN UK in 2004 which has a promo of the show, being described as airing on weekdays from 07:00 - 08:30. It doesn't specify what kind of show it is, but I assume it's similar to JBVO etc. in having Johnny talking in some (original?) segments with some cartoons as well. When I say 'original', I wonder if it was animation created specifically for Big Bravo Breakfast, or if it was reused from JBVO etc. I remember that I watched it as a kid, but I don't specifically recall what the show was like xD.
Maybe Toon FM is just the european version of JBVO. Also, i'm 100% sure that i've seen the "No, i'm johnny" bumper before on RUclips and I dont know what happened to it
Kind of unrelated but what happened with that MCR video you teased a while back dude? It's not like I'm not enjoying the content, just seemed a bit weird.
I 100% remember both Johnny arguing back and forth saying "No, i'm Johnny!" over and over again. I thought I was the only one who remembered that being a thing, thank god i'm not
You didn't found anything on the polish site of cartoon network, because at this time the central and eastern european version of cartoon network broadcast in 3 country, Poland, Hungary and Romania and only Poland has website. Because of that the viewers only vote on e-mail addresses and not on actual website.
I remember a Johnny Bravo and Johnny Test marathon (or something similar) because I remember saying these exact words "MOMMY I DON'T LIKE THE BIG SHOW!" ('Big show' referring to Johnny Bravo) Edit: I misspelled something oops
Toon FM was definitely 2001 and at that time, I was puzzled at how Cartoon Network in the Philippines didn't have the same programming and would feature Toon FM 24/7. Still, thanks to this, I got to at least experience cartoons like The Cramp Twins, Atomic Betty, and Fatdog Mendoza which are pretty much rare toons in my opinion.
I remember Polish versions of all of those blocks. Basically in all cases it was just a handful of pre-recorded segments with very dry humour comments about the cartoon that was to be played next. There were also pre-recorded viewer calls - but again - only a handful and had dreadfully unfunny jokes. The whole thing got tired after less than a week. Nothing to be missed - at least if we're talking about Polish dub.
So my faint memory of this bumper wasn't a lie! :D It's honestly surprising I remember such a short lived block considering I was only 5 at the time this bumper happened.
So glad you chose this to feature, it's such a huge part of my childhood... I remember watching cartoon network back in 2000 and it was so pure, it always made me so happy- Hopefully more is found!
7:25 I remember that two but I remember it as an argument talked to a beat of a song and made from recycled lines from older episode and ther being just statick images on 3d backgrounds with either no or very little 2d animation
Greetings from Poland! I'm not sure if TOON FM aired in my country, but I am fairly certain that a block resembling JBVO did air in Poland somewhere between 1999 and 2002, but all I can remember from it is that it had a custom screen bug (that being Johnny's head) appearing next to the Cartoon Network one during shows it aired. I definitely remember Viva Las Bravo more. It aired during summer of 2005 (July 25 - September 2) and 2006 (July 31 - September 3). It was pretty much how you've described it. We could vote online for one of three proposed cartoons and the winner would be shown all day the next weekday. And yes, it only aired on weekdays as weekends were reserved for Toonami KnockOut, which was the same thing but we voted for Toonami shows instead. That was the case for 2005. Can't say if I remember Toonami Knockout airing in 2006 but I know Viva Las Bravo did. As for any Johnny Bravo skits, I don't think there's much to talk about here. Poland and the rest of Central Europe didn't get as much fun stuff as USA, Latin America, Japan or even the UK. However, there is one more thing that you could probably count as lost media as I doubt anyone bothered to even record it back when it happened. There was an event that in Polish was called "Akcja Animacja" (Action Animation, "action" as in "campaign"). It was basically a nationwide competition held between 2001 and 2006 in Poland, as well as Hungary and Romania. Kids from elementary and middle schools could take part in this and draw their own storyboards which would then be sent to Cartoon Network where they'd choose the best one in the age 6-12 category and the best one in the age 12-16 category, for each country separately, of course. Those two winner animation projects would then be given to CN's own animators to animate and finish them. The finished animation projects would be shown later in the fall of that year in a special CN event program called, you guessed it, Action Animation, which was hosted by Johnny Bravo (except for the 6th and last edition where it was hosted by Dexter, with Dee Dee occasionally dropping in to annoy him). I don't know how long the program was (probably an hour, maybe hour and a half long or so, not sure) but I do know that each edition aired on a Friday at 4 pm CET and was shown again on a Sunday of that same week at 9 am CET (for example, the 1st edition aired on September 28, 2001 and the 2nd one on September 27, 2002 - both dates are Fridays). Also, some of the editions had some extra stuff shown during them, for example: - the 3rd edition (which was shown on either October 24, 2003 or November 7, I can't remember), had the premiere of the 50th episode of the Powerpuff Girls (Keen on Keane/Not So Awesome Blossom) and the 66th episode of Dexter's Laboratory (4th season premiere, in other words) (Beau Tie/Remember Me/Over-Labbing) - the 4th and 6th editions (November 5, 2004 and November 3, 2006, respectively) showed the very first episodes of the Powerpuff Girls (Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins), Tom & Jerry (Puss Gets the Boot) and Dexter's Laboratory (Changes) - all 3 shown on both editions - the 5th edition (November 4, 2005) showed a sneak preview of Camp Lazlo, which consisted of the entire first episode (Parasitic Pal/It's No Picnic) and the first half of the 2nd episode (The Weakest Wink). There IS a promo for the 2nd edition from 2002: ruclips.net/video/eeblgAMcuRw/видео.html Also 2:45 seeing the Polish Cartoon Network website from back then brings back memories.
UPDATE: Someone found a VHS recording of a Polish promo of TOON:FM (which is essentialy the same as the Swedish one) and from the looks of it, the program premiered in Poland on April 8, 2002 and was broadcasted from 7:30 to 9 a.m. either everyday or Monday thru Friday. The promo suggests the program had a hotline which the fans could call and win prizes (and perhaps decide what cartoon to show next but I'm not sure about that one) and Johnny would also sometimes read the "mail" (I doubt it was actual fanmail, it's usually scripted in this type of internationally broadcasted programs) and give a so-called "Toon Tip" Here's the recording: ruclips.net/video/NDaSoFMDcV4/видео.html
Viva Las Bravo was definitely real. It was a block which contained 3 random cartoons as a choice to choose from if you submitted to the Cartoon Network HQ website. The winner(Cartoon) would get a marathon somewhere in the afternoon. This promo and block only aired on the Pan-European feed of Cartoon Network though which was kind of a low budget feed.
I remember that "No, im Johnny" scene as i was big fan of Johnny Test before it got canceled. Thing is, I'm in Romania and it was dubbed. So a Romanian version must exist, and as far as i know, Romanian CN gets very little of stuff like this and usually years down the line for some reason.
I remember Johnny/Johnny! I actually watched it when it was on, because I was a fan of both shows at the time, I'm really only a fan of Johnny Bravo now. All I remember is an ad that was both Johnny's repeatedly saying something like "He's got my name!"
I remember seeing the Johnny-Johnny block on Cartoon Network back in 2009 (I was a big Johnny Test fan at the time, so I watched it there, then decided to stay tuned to Bravo, not knowing it was an over 10-year-old cartoon at the time)! It was actually the first time I ever saw Johnny Bravo on television, since I was born in 2002, so I wasn't old enough to see the show when it originally aired on CN. Shortly after seeing Johnny Bravo on that block and it catched my interest, I started watching it on Boomerang, and I've been a fan ever since. I don't remember those bumpers you mentioned in this video, though.
I remember the European Johnny Bravo Talk Show Airing in German or Austrian Television. Its very faint but IIRC he was commenting and making jokes on short clips. Somehow I am convinced that years later this was aired again with a big "DO NOT PARTICIPATE OLD RECORDING" disclaimer in the evening while some kids Sattelite TV Channel was off air in the later night hours. It looped from approx 21:00-06:00. But that might just be my imagination. TL:DR: Look for German Recordings.
About the Johnny/Johnny ads, I'm pretty sure they aired sometime around Christmas of 2009. If I recall correctly, they played "A Johnny Bravo Christmas" and "A Holly Johnny Christmas" around that time. I'm sure it ran before Christmas time, but that's when I remember it playing back in 2009.
I think the reason why Cartoon Network was trying so hard with these Johnny Blocks is because at the time they were airing, I believe the Nicktoon Summer Beach House blocks that ran during the summer were really popular. I think they were maybe trying to catch some of that appeal, Nick always seemed to have more success with afternoon blocks, at least from my perspective. I can't blame them for trying their own hand at it.
I am an European with access to Cartoon Network in the year 2005, and I can assure you that Viva Las Bravo and Johnny/Johnny absolutely did exist, I distinctly remember at least the promos for them. In fact, if it weren't for you mentioning these, I would have completely forgotten about them. The footage that you showed for Viva Las Bravo is also very similar to how I'm remembering it. Also, as a side note, the Cartoon Network HQ website _was_ that hard to navigate at the time, especifically for Europe. This was before Cartoon Network used separate domains for the countries where it is broadcasted.
I remember when the Johnny/Johnny block came out. I was 6 years old at the time when It aired and I remember how much I liked it. Sadly, I don't remember the episodes that aired as this is from 10 years ago so my memory is not too best. I hope you find JBVO, FM Toon, and Viva we Bravo!
Yeah, I vaguely remember the Johnny Johnny adds, I never really watched my Johnny bravo, so I guess I never thought much of it, I never would have thought it would one day become so obscure
I remember the Johnny/Johnny block as well! I recall for a time it was Johnny Quest and Johnny Bravo but then it was switched to Johnny Test and Bravo, I think around when Johnny Quest started airing more on Boomerang instead? That's what I recall at least.
Viva los bravo I believe was aired when I was a kid. I remember going to a summer club “planet action” near me and every time we stopped for lunch they played Cartoon Network. It was the only time I every got to watch this channel as we never did and still don’t have sky. They played shows like Ed, edd, and eddy, Johnny bravo and more and I was always in Ore as never got to watch this sort of cartoon at home. I explicitly remember the 3 headed girl. If it helps I’m 29 now and this was when I was in ruffly year 5-6 (I’m one of the youngest in my year too) I don’t know if this would help but I guess I never now.
Quartzer but it does sound about right , I mean I can remember still fitting in one of those plastic out door kids houses, which was indoors upstairs in the lunch hall room that we all sat in to eat. There was 2 TVs on the wall / hanging from the ceiling. And that’s what kids tv was on we only got to watch it for about 1 hr whilst we ate, and different shows where in each time we sat down to eat. Then we went off to do different sports like trampolining/ tennis etc...
I commented on this forever ago saying I remember the Johnny/Johnny bumper and I've come to add a detail to this. I remember one bumper that featured the two saying "He's got my name!" to each other, the first being Johnny Test. If I remember correctly, the bumper was for Test being up next.
Toon FM seems to use a lot of recycled animation from Brak presents the Brak Show Starring Brak (which is also practically lost) but Brak standing on the cliff and the Brakettes, three headed girl, are recycled from that that. I also remember that Godzilla being from something but I’m not sure. Possibly from the pilot.
I remember the Johnny Johnny bumpers because they made me confused as to the true Johnny and what Johnny even meant. I cant remember that much of it though.
Also, the Cartoon Network HQ site looks like it just took you to another version of cartoonnetwork(.)co(.)uk. I was actually looking around there the other day to find stuff from Toon FM, and it DOES work in English if you enter that url... But the problem is that once you get to around 2004 everything just goes to this "page not found" error from like 2011 for some reason. Also around 2004, the site switches to this big flash thing which I can't get to work, which might have to do with that. Sorry if you actually have looked around there before, wouldn't be surprised but wanna make sure. ALSO also, not as important but the three headed character in the Toon FM promos is/are the Brakettes from Brak Presents the Brak Show Starring Brak
not that helpful, but, the wayback machine isn't perfect as is well known. it probably tried to find the closest error image it could to the one that was shown at the time. if you're not talking about the WB machine, it might be the same principle. 2004 is before people really put care into proofing their websites. "can it tell you to watch the show and play flash games? that's good enough for me"
I remember Johnny Johnny, I thought it was great to see Johnny Bravo on the air again but was confused to why they would do it, because Johnny Test aired so many times back then. I thought it was a one time marathon that the executives threw together.
I rarely watched CN myself (and I'm probably too young to have experienced Toon:FM anyway), but a quick look at the Dutch Wikipedia page for Cartoon Network tells me that Johnny/Johnny probably didn't air in Europe, since European Cartoon Network ran a different style for its bumpers in Europe in 2009 (it used red arrows rather than blocks with text and the arrows with the "up next: xxx" text were in the bottom left of the screen, according to Wikipedia). that said, just because the footage we have is from American CN doesn't mean that the European equivalent doesn't exist.
I remember Johnny Quest and Johnny Bravo having a back to back marathon of episodes and in between the commercial breaks both Johnny's would say he's got my name while some females could be heard in the background singing "he's got my name"
I definitely remember seeing Viva Las Bravo, back in the day. However, I completely forgot how terrible that Johnny Bravo impersonation was. I know that getting Jeff Bennett to voice new lines for each block would be impossible, but couldn't CN Europe get someone that sounded more like him? It makes the guy who voiced Johnny Bravo in this MAD skit sound like an A-list VA. ruclips.net/video/RC1Aa4s9wDk/видео.html
I was sick for about a week when the Johnny / Johnny block aired and it was only really used as a transition. I didn't pay much attention to the clips but I know they were arguing about which Johnny is the real Johnny and usually still images were just used with the two Johnnys facing each other back to back. I could be wrong though since I was 8 when the block aired so I don't really remember that much about it
i remember the block call Johnny Johnny I actually saw it but I don't remember too much of it I didn't know this is actually lost because this actually reminds me of it and I feel so disappointed because it's lost
is it just me, or is the camera really off in the Johnny Johnny bumper? it’s so snappy and jittery that it makes me wonder if there was stuff between it. At 8:14 when it’s playing really slowly, it kind of looks like there’s movement missing? Even if I’m way off, there’s no denying that it’s really strange.
I wonder how much lost media I've seen in my life without even knowing it.

When I say 'original', I wonder if it was animation created specifically for Big Bravo Breakfast, or if it was reused from JBVO etc. I remember that I watched it as a kid, but I don't specifically recall what the show was like xD.
Oooo if you get the chance I'd really like to see it!
@@LSuperSonicQ Sure, I've just uploaded the promo if you'd like to take a look: ruclips.net/video/49KZUafscwE/видео.html
Could be sidetracked. lol
I 100% remember both Johnny arguing back and forth saying "No, i'm Johnny!" over and over again. I thought I was the only one who remembered that being a thing, thank god i'm not
Hey I remember seeing that Johnny Johnny promotional material ( I remember the one we're both Johnny's are arguing about who's the real Johnny)
More than 1 person remembers this (I've seen 2 so far counting you) so it appears my memory wasn't a lie! :D
You didn't found anything on the polish site of cartoon network, because at this time the central and eastern european version of cartoon network broadcast in 3 country, Poland, Hungary and Romania and only Poland has website. Because of that the viewers only vote on e-mail addresses and not on actual website.
I remember a Johnny Bravo and Johnny Test marathon (or something similar) because I remember saying these exact words "MOMMY I DON'T LIKE THE BIG SHOW!" ('Big show' referring to Johnny Bravo)
Edit: I misspelled something oops
This comment made me laugh.
Toon FM's "Three Headed Singers" was taken from Brak Presents The Brak Show Starring Brak. They were called the Brakettes.
Holy shit I remember the Johnny/Johnny block VIVIDLY. I can confirm that the argument bumper did exist.
So my faint memory of this bumper wasn't a lie! :D It's honestly surprising I remember such a short lived block considering I was only 5 at the time this bumper happened.
So glad you chose this to feature, it's such a huge part of my childhood... I remember watching cartoon network back in 2000 and it was so pure, it always made me so happy-
Hopefully more is found!
7:25 I remember that two but I remember it as an argument talked to a beat of a song and made from recycled lines from older episode and ther being just statick images on 3d backgrounds with either no or very little 2d animation
I love these incredibly obscure pieces of media. It's a miracle we have any footage of them at all! Thank you so much for sharing!
I very vividly remember all of the Johnny Johnny blocks, especially that I'm Johnny, no I'm Johnny thing
Also, some of the editions had some extra stuff shown during them, for example:
- the 3rd edition (which was shown on either October 24, 2003 or November 7, I can't remember), had the premiere of the 50th episode of the Powerpuff Girls (Keen on Keane/Not So Awesome Blossom) and the 66th episode of Dexter's Laboratory (4th season premiere, in other words) (Beau Tie/Remember Me/Over-Labbing)
- the 4th and 6th editions (November 5, 2004 and November 3, 2006, respectively) showed the very first episodes of the Powerpuff Girls (Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins), Tom & Jerry (Puss Gets the Boot) and Dexter's Laboratory (Changes) - all 3 shown on both editions
- the 5th edition (November 4, 2005) showed a sneak preview of Camp Lazlo, which consisted of the entire first episode (Parasitic Pal/It's No Picnic) and the first half of the 2nd episode (The Weakest Wink).
There IS a promo for the 2nd edition from 2002: ruclips.net/video/eeblgAMcuRw/видео.html
Also 2:45 seeing the Polish Cartoon Network website from back then brings back memories.
The promo suggests the program had a hotline which the fans could call and win prizes (and perhaps decide what cartoon to show next but I'm not sure about that one) and Johnny would also sometimes read the "mail" (I doubt it was actual fanmail, it's usually scripted in this type of internationally broadcasted programs) and give a so-called "Toon Tip"
Here's the recording: ruclips.net/video/NDaSoFMDcV4/видео.html
Viva Las Bravo was definitely real. It was a block which contained 3 random cartoons as a choice to choose from if you submitted to the Cartoon Network HQ website. The winner(Cartoon) would get a marathon somewhere in the afternoon. This promo and block only aired on the Pan-European feed of Cartoon Network though which was kind of a low budget feed.
I remember it pretty good as well, from Johnny's promos to the show marathons. I was in Portugal around 2005 when it aired.
I remember clearly seeing the Johnny Johnny bumper where they argued, they did it in a kind of song
You're one of the very few RUclipsrs who I'm willing to stop watching an episode of Chowder for!
i still cant believe a talk show with johnny bravo was rated poorly
Never a dull day when there's a lost media video 👌
Man you just gave me the greatest rush of nostalgia. I miss Toon FM so much.
Johnny sure gets his own spinoffs
Man I remember Johnny, Johnny. Hope it gets found because I remember the segments being pretty entertaining.
I was just talking about how I hoped Toon FM stuff could be found the other day and then you post this... Thank you sire
The origin of Johnny Johnny.
I think Johnny Johnny actually came before Johnny Bravo was a thing
@@Quartzer. woooosh? Or is that a dead meme
@@Green-pn7kq What's the point of trying to understand a shitty joke who's only purpose is to get likes from normies?

Yo I didn’t think you would show my channel! Thanks man.
The “no I’m Johnny” ad definitely exists, it’s the only bumped I actually remember seeing back when it was a thing
I remember the johnny's arguing, and a promo where it showed still images and in the background the voice actors singing "he's got my name"
What about a merchandising for Dr. Mario
Epic thumbnail dude!
How does media like this become lost? I mean, I can understand doctor who because it was 50 years ago ...
Oh man, I remember watching this every morning before school!
I remember the johnny/johnny promo, It usually play during commercial breaks, now that I think about it, I was watching lost media...
OH MAN, l Totally remember that Johnny vs Johnny ad!
I didn’t get the notification for this and was a day late to watch it
I actually remember seeing the Johnny/Johnny commercials back in the day.
Toonfm looks like space ghost coast to coast, but for kids, even having a space ghost character
If it helps I’m 29 now and this was when I was in ruffly year 5-6 (I’m one of the youngest in my year too)
I don’t know if this would help but I guess I never now.
So that's correct 29-5=24 so about 23 to 24 years ago? Aka about 1995
Quartzer I’m terrible with dates.
If it helps the club I went to as a kid was at this centre “Clements hall” in rochford Essex.
I vividly remember the Johnny Johnny block. It’s sad that the bumpers were lost.
oh yeah, johnny johnny
"he's got my name!"
I commented on this forever ago saying I remember the Johnny/Johnny bumper and I've come to add a detail to this. I remember one bumper that featured the two saying "He's got my name!" to each other, the first being Johnny Test. If I remember correctly, the bumper was for Test being up next.
thanks for making this, super informative. your videos are always super interesting to me
Toon FM seems to use a lot of recycled animation from Brak presents the Brak Show Starring Brak (which is also practically lost) but Brak standing on the cliff and the Brakettes, three headed girl, are recycled from that that. I also remember that Godzilla being from something but I’m not sure. Possibly from the pilot.
I just love learning about this stuff. Great video :)
Ok, I feel like Johnny Bravo is becoming a widget series with all this Lost Media.
"can it tell you to watch the show and play flash games? that's good enough for me"
For some reason, I remember that song clip of Toon FM...But I'm American and have always lived here. I wonder if it DID air here briefly.
That Johnny Johnny promo gave me super deja vu
I remember Johnny Quest and Johnny Bravo having a back to back marathon of episodes and in between the commercial breaks both Johnny's would say he's got my name while some females could be heard in the background singing "he's got my name"
Ah man, now I wanna see and know more about the Johnny/Johnny commercial..
Johnny/Johnny is the first lost media thing I've actually seen! There were a couple bumpers
I never knew JBVO wasn't all that popular. Hmm. I remember watching it pretty frequently.
That’s crazy because I do remember both Johnnys arguing about who’s the real Johnny on Cartoon Network a long time ago.
Even if I’m way off, there’s no denying that it’s really strange.
yeah I remember the bumper of the 2 johnny’s, I remember it because my bro and I would watch CN for hours during cartoon network
