I’m real glad Travis talked and explained things in this video I enjoyed that. I hope he makes a separate video on his channel. Very knowledgeable and well spoken individual. Congratulations on the new equipment.
I don't think any reasonable person would question your choices that arrived today. The header cart: Total win, dollar bet says you'll love it. The header: A really good deal. The fact that it's not a draper isn't an issue. Draper reality check is this "Forty thousand more", it really doesn't roll off the tongue - more like makes you urp up a bit. The baler: Travis, in the yard, lists off verbally an entire checklist that will get that into the field with his hardest decision being which machine to equip for it. Sweet all around!
I like how your doing the budget buy. Then it works out better for you financially. It is easier just to replace some minor parts than going g and buying new. SMART FARMING PAYS OFF.
You'll be amazed how much better it is combining with that head compared to your old one we made the exact same transition a few years ago and I couldn't believe how much better the beans flowed in and how it flexes over rocks
Ran a 635F last fall for the first time. Worked perfectly. Picked it up CHEAP. Header loss can be very minimal. No plans for Draper here……buy dirt instead.
I had a modified 930R for a few years with the hoses running on top as that one is and it really didn't cause to much trouble for me at all. Like you said it would fill up with chaff and you just blow it off every now and then whenever you blow the machine off and its fine, but I never had any problems whatsoever with my single point modification on that head, and I covered a lot of acres with it.
You will love the AWS head cart for everything except backing into a shed. It can be done but not real easy. I like the idea of starting with a whole new cutterbar, hoping that you mean that you are going to replace all the guards as well. I find most people let their guards get way too dull and they are half of the cutter. The moving knife is only the other half. Do yourself a favor and get some O-ring kits on hand for the single point connector. Deere or Lankota should have repair kits for that. Make sure your 9770 feeder house front plate is set correctly so that you aren't digging in the cutterbar or running it too high.
Demo'd a 569 then bought one when they were released there's a chain on each side to lock out the kicker. If the chains are in good shape use a good teflon based chain lube.
Great video! Been watching for years and glad to see you guys expanding into some better equipment. Looking forward to see infrastructure improvements in the future.
We added a 930 when we bought a 9650 walker machine 5 yrs ago. It been an awesome pair for beans. That single pt is great, unhooked and on trailer in under 30 seconds and roaded combine home 2 miles just before a giant rainstorm (3 inches in 1 hr!)
Ive been running a 569 premium for 3 years now and that baler is a beast! Had 45k bales on it when i bought it and if that doesn't say its a reliable baler, i don't know what would
ditch the Deere cutter bar and go to a complete sch roller back bar. We did that years ago. You can buy it all aftermarket and buy blades rollers and guards at several brands.
Too bad you could not get the Kuhn. Lots of farmers are having to upgrade the JD equipment to better them with aftermarket fixes. Good luck with the JD stuff.
You guys are doing a good job of diversifying your operation and consequently your risk. Continue to do what you can, with what you can afford and what you can handle. Your audience doesn’t make your payments.
Don't underestimate the twine... could mark a bale for some reason using twine. Do that all the time with our bales... easy to mark slough bales in an alfalfa field.
Have you seen the attachment that John Deere has for it balers. It holds up to three bales. That way you kick the bales off close together in the field and makes it easier to load the hay and bring it up to the barn.
Great Video- That is the most I have ever heard Travis talk on a video... I am excited to see this equipment run this year. Congrats Ryan, Travis and Dad :)
Get the spacers for the net wrap. I hate it when you set a stock bale or hay on end and the bottom few inches of the net stays under the bale. you end up with net all over
Well you did what was in budget for you not everyone else nice new to you equipment and a second baler is not a bad idea everything breaks and having a second might be a game changer if one goes down
Nice additions! I applaud the way you guys expand/improve, instead of rushing right down to the dealer and buying new. We run a draper head and an auger head and while I do love the draper, it ain't all roses! Especially when it's time to change the belt!
awsome video ryan i bin watching for years and glad to see you guys expanding into some better equipment looking forward to see infrastructure improvements in the future thumbs up and shared
Great video as always . another RUclipsr said someone told him, feed that what feeds you..and to me that's pretty good good saying.and I see that in your videos your family is always upgrading your equipment when you see fit..
I have to ask how many bales you run through your baler before you change them out for new ones? Chains normally last quite a long time as long as they are lubricated properly and routinely. Only thing is when you start replacing chains, putting new expensive chains on worn out sprockets will actually do more harm than good. Normally if the chain is junk the sprockets will also be junk.
Love the new addition of equipment...more soybean will be cut per pass and baling twice as much bales per day. Honestly think the flatbed that ya bought is the wildcard for the season especially how will it effect bale hauling
Mr T must of been payed a lot more to move over channel/stations 🤣. Can't wait to see all this newly acquired kit in operation. Your going to also need a ton of new cameras to catch all the action shortly 😉 stay safe 🏴
Hey Ryan great video, looking at your round baler do many people use the 960/990 Johnny balers? Had a 469 myself here in Australia and was looking at the 990 for cycle times? Cheers
Isn't Khun and John Deere hay equipment the same i mean correct me if I am wrong but the Kuhn plant here in the Netherlands produces some kunh in John Deere color
Had a 930f new they were a good head for their time. But you should of went to a 630, they can be bought just as cheap and are leaps and bounds better. After having a new 635 would not want to go back to a 900 series. Those carts can be fun to backup, it’s doable but not fun. Good luck!
After researching them, for one in similar condition they're about twice as much. Only a difference of $10K, but when you're buying two things at once you need to work with the budget.
I think between the 3 of us we're north of 800 now. It changes every year and we've been picking up more recently so it probably is more than that. The rest is pasture.
Draper heads do work good, but the complexity, cost, and increased fire hazard can quickly make them not worth it in my opinion. A good flex head with full fingered auger can do a good job.
With beans are you better off not following the planter. Seems dozens of farmtubers have indicated with a draper your better off not to. Can see how the material handling changes. 35 ft would have allowed flexibility for your section use as well going across the field. The comments for not purchasing a chopping corn head last fall could also be questioned. Have the combine HP, use it. Saving time, fuel by not having to run across the field again or purchase/maintain a tractor/bushog mower. Better for tires. Reduce field compaction. Sure you might have to slow the combine ground speed down a little possibly but far better approach in your limited manpower/ hour operation. Farmers will need to analyze their real costs, including fuel with diesel cost doubled. Are you saving fuel with a 35ft bean head vs 30ft... how about a tuned tractor or combine to reduce fuel consumption and/or increase HP.
I’m real glad Travis talked and explained things in this video I enjoyed that. I hope he makes a separate video on his channel. Very knowledgeable and well spoken individual. Congratulations on the new equipment.
MOAR Travis!
What's his channel?

They'll be blown away just by the larger machine in general. Any average crop they might have trouble keeping the combine running.
Keep your brother and family in your videos. Been watching you guys for 4 years now...
That's the plan!

It's great to see Travis so enthusiastic about the new arrivals, as I'm also a subscriber to The Rest Of The Story. Go Team Kuster!

Look into dry chain lubes. Wax or Teflon based. Wet chains plus dust equals grit on the chains.
It’s been awhile since I watched one of your videos. Travis looks too be doing so much better in front of the camera.

Use the kicker bar! You can feel through the tractor if it's working!
nice thanks Florida Joe
Great addition to the fleet
Thanks Ryan.

13000 bales 😳it looks brand new, can’t Wait to see it running.
13k isn’t a lot really. Had a 458 that looked as nice with 11k on it
I like it. These guys just keep moving forward at a pace defined by them. Best wishes!!
Too bad you could not get the Kuhn. Lots of farmers are having to upgrade the JD equipment to better them with aftermarket fixes. Good luck with the JD stuff.
Great idea Travis had about the water jugs In the twine boxes. Gonna do the same for myself.
You guys are doing a good job of diversifying your operation and consequently your risk. Continue to do what you can, with what you can afford and what you can handle. Your audience doesn’t make your payments.
We were looking for a few hats and ended up with a header, cart, and baler, too.

What a nice delivery! I can't wait to see the new equipment at work👍😁 It's great to hear your opinion the header and baler😉👍
Good luck guys on your purchases. Cool green machines.
I bought my loader from them very good people to work with!
Looks like Christmas came early great to see you doing up grades

Love the new equipment Guy"s .

Travis: The smart brother. Ryan: The handsome brother. 🤣 Awesome team.
Good for you guys !! Why did Travis call beans a necessary evil ? Where I'm at if it wasn't for beans we would have been broke long ago.
Nice equipment hope you get many good years of use out of them.
Well you did what was in budget for you not everyone else nice new to you equipment and a second baler is not a bad idea everything breaks and having a second might be a game changer if one goes down

Idk how well the all wheel steering header trailers back up in real life, but in Farm Sim they suck backing up!

Ryan out of all the tractor you demoed which one was you favorite NH t7315 JD 8370R or the case?
Good video. Hopefully it'll be a great year.🙏
Great awesome video Ryan , Travis , nice flex head and nice round baler
Congratulations
Impressive ! Seems like the headers get longer an longer.
Get a 935😉 I love ours
You need a John Deere with a ITV trans to get full use of baler
Needs to warm up so we can get some crops on the ground. I'm sure glad we bought extra hay last summer, hay prices are starting to get ridiculous.
Is a new storage. Building in ur future plans
Curious to know how many times the bean head will fit the planter rows? - lol Lots of people combine beans at an angle!
Well done guys.
Travis knows his balers lol
Love the new addition of equipment...more soybean will be cut per pass and baling twice as much bales per day. Honestly think the flatbed that ya bought is the wildcard for the season especially how will it effect bale hauling
Just like the old lowboy hay rakes
Great stuff Ryan and Travis, well wear Men👌👍🙂

Need to put a kick back screen on the new header to limit how much trash comes up out of the header.
Thanks Again
Nice
congratulation on your new equipmen ❤ now you need to start looking for another tractor for your farm.
I see Travis got some expensive ball caps and some free equipment lol. Looks like they will be a nice edition to the farm
Hey Ryan great video, looking at your round baler do many people use the 960/990 Johnny balers? Had a 469 myself here in Australia and was looking at the 990 for cycle times? Cheers
Can't say I've seen any of them around
@@HowFarmsWork yeah ok I haven’t looked into it maybe they come out of Europe. They currently have fastest gate cycle time of about 3 seconds
Wrap all those connections w a plastic bag around them tightly when not using to protect from rust and corrosion:)
Isn't Khun and John Deere hay equipment the same i mean correct me if I am wrong but the Kuhn plant here in the Netherlands produces some kunh in John Deere color
KUHN has made equipment for John Deere in the past, I'm not sure on their current arrangements however.
What about a Craryair system?
How many bales are on that baler? My guess 15k?
You won’t have chain issues like you would with the 60H on the older balers.
Had a 930f new they were a good head for their time. But you should of went to a 630, they can be bought just as cheap and are leaps and bounds better. After having a new 635 would not want to go back to a 900 series. Those carts can be fun to backup, it’s doable but not fun. Good luck!

Is there a market for a used Krone round baler?
Good stuff stay safe
I have an 1800 monitor if looking for another one.
Just out of curiosity why did you guys choose a 900 series head over a newer 600 series flex head?
They’re twice as much. Long term plan is to buy a Draper.
Good video looking 👌 forward to the videos
Good vid guys...new equipment should be quite nice especially larger grain table...y’all keep em coming 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
We agree! Thanks!
Hey Ryan!! Hey Travis!! Looks like Christmas came early. Are you keeping the old baler?
Yes.
I think his brother deserves some of the money from this video!
How come you went with a 9 series head over a 6 series head?
Still twice as much for one in comparable condition.
Why didn’t u go with a 600 bean head since it’s more Compatible for your combine with that one having the single point hookup
About twice as much, or $10K more for one in similar condition.
Good video
Thanks!
He'll they drove in on a pickup. I would of went and got it my self.
Thay Say The Draper Head saves 1 Bushel Per acker Other Farmers Blog
It is unseen here in europ that the machines are pulled with pick-ups. It should be possible.
Ok Guys let’s go make some hay lol love the videos
How comes you didn’t get a Draper head
About $40K more
@@HowFarmsWork makes sense and smart thinking with the header cart makes a world of difference

Win you run a draper no one wants a auger head them big auger heads are easy to bend in the middle.
